I Became A System

Chapter 77 - 3 Quests In One Go

Just after changing her info in the guild, we went back to the inn. Since we got no job, nor inspiration to go on a quest, we just called it a day since the sun's rest is coming.

We just have to plan for tomorrow. Tomorrow is finally the d-day of her alias. Is it going to be a breakthrough or transition in her life? I guess...?

Well, maturity for Ellena is just waiting in the corner. Meeting different kinds of people in doing some quests will benefit her. And also the purpose of this alias, for the points.

"Well, that kind of drained our budget, Aaron," Ellena remarked while lying on the bed.

"Yeah. That kind of hectic price for a name change." I responded.

That was reasonable too, but isn't it too much? Like, the range was understandable but the actual price was not.

I can understand that it was a countermeasure to fake identities since I know that IDs aren't centralized in this world. Even in establishments where they issue identification for their employees, they aren't really centralized in their management since it can just be easily copied and there are fewer means of data-keeping.

"But what do you think we should expect tomorrow?" She asked.

"I don't really have anything to expect. Maybe some casual duties or so. But your mystery identity will start tomorrow. If we get lucky, perhaps we can earn some points." I remarked.

I can't help but giggle thinking of the expression that our future targets will be. To be honest, I think I am the one who is enjoying Ellena's life. She's a boring person who has swings in her attitude.

But, even if she's like that, I am still willing to help her at all times.

The next day, D-day. We went out immediately after she ate her breakfast.

Heading to the guild was the purpose of this. Also, she is wearing her mystery outfit. Dark light armor is made of low-quality obsidian. Also, the dark clothes covering her body and face. It's like an assassin but only has a cover.

Perhaps we really need to buy a whole face mask for this scheme.

Just walking down the street, people were wary of her since she was hiding her face.

There are suspecting gazes at her, almost enough to make anyone looked at uncomfortable.

Well, I am uncomfortable with it! However, this is what we wanted, and even though it's slightly annoying, I can bear with it.

Moments later, the gazes didn't stop. Perhaps this was really a bad choice of mask...

As we entered the guild, people were still looking at her. No way that they have some problem with her, right? Can't it be called a unique fashion?

Just before she was about to reach the reception desk, she was paused by a guard of the establishment.

"Excuse me. Can I see your identification?" The guard asked.

Ellena took out her guild card and showed it to the guard. As he saw it, he raised his eyebrows.

"Only bronze-ranker?"

Ellena reached her card then pointed to her history of achievement and contribution. Just after he saw it, his eyes started gawking in surprise.

"Expedition most contributor? I guess you aren't a suspicious individual. Forgive me for the misunderstanding." He calmly lowered his head. Ellena just nodded before continuing.

When she reached the receptionist, she showed her card. "Three quests. Any appropriate for my rank but three." She emphasized the word three.

The receptionist took the card then inspected her history. When she saw something, she smiled in delight before browsing the pile of quests.

"Please wait for a moment." She said.

I can see the people around perplexed in the situation. It is not common for bronze-ranker to ask three quests in one go. It's almost a suicide mission for those newbies.

But, they must differ those weaklings from Ellena. She is special and not something that can be easily compared. There is a disparity in Ellena's potential to others.

After few seconds, the receptionist came back with three quests.

"These are all Always Threat Level D-rank quests. Please come back safely."

Without speaking, Ellena just nodded before leaving the guild.

Everyone was still dazed by the situation. An acting mystery one? That may be what they can call Ellena but this is just the start of her history in this guild.

'Let's go. These are just easy for me.' She nonchalantly remarked before leaving the city and heading to the location of the quest.

***

"Who the hell was that? What kind of gimmick was she doing?"

"I don't know, it's not my problem."

"Well, she must be eager to die that despite being bronze, she asked for three quests."

"But if that's the case, why did the receptionist give her three quests. Maybe she's something."

Everyone who likes to gossip saw Ellena talked about her. When a lady who's hiding her identity entered the guild, they just question why she was wearing a mask.

Others are even mocking her. But little did they know, the one who gave her the quest was someone who knows her capabilities.

Just after the receptionist looked at Ellena's card. She saw the symbol for most contributors in an expedition. That kind of recognition is just given to those who have at least the prowess equal to gold-ranker and above. At least that's what the receptionist is taught.

Everyone in the guild was just wasting their time, enough to relieve the stress of their dangerous job.

4 hours later, a familiar figure entered the room. It was the lady in a dark outfit and mask.

As the people who were there from the beginning, gawk their eyes when they saw the lady came back immediately.

That was fast! As they gossip about here crazy request from the guild —three quests at the same time.

She was carrying a huge bag full of materials. While the people who were familiar with her gawking, the people who haven't seen her were dazing.

"Who's that bitch?"

"Hey! Why is she wearing a mask?"

"That's a massive loot! I wonder how long did it take for her to have that plenty of materials."

Ellena who entered the establishment was nonchalantly walking at her own pace towards the receptionist desk.

While everyone was speechless, she put the materials on the side then reported to the desk.

"I'm done. There's my proof, all fresh from my venture. That's not questionable right?" Ellena said.

The receptionist who attended her earlier nodded before asking for her guild card. Ellena handed it then the receptionist updated her history.

"Congratulations. You are now potential for promotion. Will you take the test for silver-rank promotion?" The receptionist asked.

Ellena just nodded at her question.
