I Became A System

Chapter 209 - After Work

After some browsing, Aaron finally fixed himself and left the location where the rift was previously.

He swiftly moves, immediately arriving on the battlefield, where there is not much difference. There were corpses of demons, monsters, and human soldiers. However, no war is currently raging.

'Seems like Ellena finally finished it, huh.'

Aaron went to see Ellena, who was now inside a tent, talking with someone. It was the leader of Class A, Daniel. Although he still had to mourn, he was the one who had the energy to talk with Ellena.

'What are they talking about?' Aaron wondered, and so, he rested on Ellena's shoulder.

Ellena noticed it, but she remained attentive to Daniel.

"I understand. " Ellena said to Daniel that left Aaron confused about what they were talking about.

"What was it?" Aaron asked as soon as Daniel left the tent.

'It was a request for recognition. Although it was unusual for someone like him to be the leader of a party, he turned out to be the third son of the Humban family.' Ellena said, taking Aaron's interest.

"Oh... That's interesting."

'By the way, where did you go?' Ellena asked.

"Ah! I closed the dungeon. I thought that maybe demons would come from that dungeon again. There were plenty of corpses." Aaron said with some pity in his voice.

'Right. But it was also thanks to them that I arrived not too late.'

"Let's just pray for them." Aaron said.

"By the way, can you tell me all of the spells you've learned? I'm kind of interested after seeing it earlier." Aaron suddenly said, moving his body onto the table before Ellena.

'Hmmm... Do you really need to?

I'd learned Ice Spear, Catapult, Blazing Grass, Thunderous Clap, Mist Screen, Crumble, and Protection Light.'

"That's quite plenty of spells. Are you sure you can handle the pressure? Plenty of spells don't usually mean being helpful. You know that it takes time to train to use each one every day." Aaron uttered it as if it came from his experience.

Well, he was also feeling the same. Even though he wanted to at least have control over the systems and his soul so he could modify Fear System, he gained plenty of systems that were a bit pressurized to handle.

Even if he used all of them on schedule, he couldn't think of using them all properly. Since the existence of the systems on which he relied was something that changed the possibilities.

'It's okay. They are all at least B-rank to be compared in terms of monsters' power. I can handle it.' Ellena assured Aaron with a smile on her face.

"If you say so. I won't doubt you. But I think right now, we should head to Humban City." Aaron said and with it, Ellena nodded then stood up.

Ellena and Aaron left the tent and were greeted by some of the soldiers. Ellena simply nodded and walked straight into the main road.

'After this, shall we head home?' Ellena suggested.

"Of course."

***

It wasn't that grandiose. It was only a simple recognition given to Ellena by the head of the Humban family. After that, they already left the city as there wasn't much celebration because of the people's mourning.

It was a huge damage to the city and the people. Thinking about it, Ellena felt guilty of accepting recognition. But thinking of the purpose of it, she promised that when she can use the recognition she gained, she'll give it back to the citizens tenfold.

After a week at most, Ellena and Aaron arrived in the Phlabian City. It was roughly two months and a half. However, there were no major changes in the city, and there were no problems with the peace here.

Of course, how could the adventurers' haven suffer a loss? It's questionable that even if there were an overflowing dungeon nearby, like in the Humban, they could easily close it.

"Welcome to Phlabian City." A guard greeted Ellena. Realizing that she was still wearing her disguise, she just nodded.

'Perhaps he recognized me.'

"Thank you." Ellena said, then just left the guard.

Finally, after arriving back in the city, a peaceful situation satiated her mind. Also, for Aaron, he had never felt this peaceful after long day of work.

With it, Ellena headed straight to the Wester family estate, since that was the purpose of leaving the city. Now that she had the Morning Flower inside, she could finally focus on how to manage her organization.

"May I ask what's your business with the Wester family?" A guard respectfully greeted Ellena without suspecting her because of her outfit.

Ellena nodded, "I am here for the Morning Flower. I already had it, so please can you report it to the head of the Wester Family?" Ellena responded.

When the guard heard the content of Ellena's words, the guard widened his eyes.

"Miss Noelle, The Dark Lightning Princess?" the guard suddenly asked stupidly.

"Ah... Yes. It was me." Ellena unwillingly said.

"Understood! I will report it to the master, please follow me." the guard said, he then ordered a lower-ranking guard to change his shift.

The guard just nodded, then they went straight into the mansion.

Then, Ellena was assisted by a butler and a maid to a waiting room. With tea on the table, Ellena waited for the head of the family.

Minutes later, maybe even just a fragment of a minute, Uranos Wester arrived in the waiting room with panting in between his breathing.

"Are you okay?" Ellena asked.

"Yes. My servants said that you had a Morning Flower with you. Is it true?" Uranos hastily asked without even thinking of his current appearance.

"Yes, I have it."

His butler whispered something to him and just after hearing Ellena's response, he flinched. He straightened his posture then bowed to Ellena.

"Please forgive me for the disgraceful act I did. And thank you very much for accepting my request. Please tell me what you like.. Even if it's above the decided price, please mention anything you want."
