Chapter 77 - Let's Roll Out!
Police Station Infirmary.
"How does it look? Can it be fixed, Doc?" Officer Wan asked the infirmary doctor.
The infirmary doctor glanced back at the officer and said, "Hey man, I only applied for this job to administer basic first aid to knife wounds and gunshots—not to become a urologist and touch another man's balls, okay? I didn't sign up for this sh*t."
"Balls? But there's nothing left!"
"Oh, it's good that you know! This isn't something we can salvage. He's ball-less for life, gee!" The infirmary doctor stated.
Officer Wan's lips twitched before suggested, "Can't you try pouring some of the Federation's Green Elixir on it and see if it work—what?"
Officer Wan paused, seeing the infirmary doctor looking at him like he was looking at an idiot.
"Even if you want to water the seed and hope it grows into a healthy tree, the prerequisite is that there had to be some seeds to water in the first place. This guy is done for." The infirmary doctor explained.
"I see..." Officer Wan's lips twitched, silently praying he never had to suffer under the same fate from the Nut-Cracking Fiend.
"Ugh..."
Estelle Xiao regained consciousness with a groan in another corner of the infirmary after some time had passed.
"You're awake." Senior Officer Guo glanced at Officer Xiao before he sighed, "You were too reckless just now. If the Flame Bullet had been just a bit more to the right, you would have been dead. How are you feeling?"
"I'm feeling... perfectly fine?" Estelle Xiao inspected herself before she noticed her hands have been cuffed to the medical bed.
Ka-Ching! Ka-Ching!
"Why am I being handcuffed?" Estelle Xiao frowned while rattling the handcuffs against the side railings of the medical bed.
Nevertheless, Senior Officer Guo was not in a hurry to release her.
Instead, he observed her for some time before he asked, "Do you feel any violent tendencies? Or thirst for blood?"
"What is that supposed to mean? I'm not on my period!" Estelle Xiao was confused by Senior Guo's questionings before she tasted a trace of blood on her lips. "Is this blood? Am I dying?"
"That blood is not yours. Don't worry about it," Senior Officer Guo stated.
Shortly after, Estelle Xiao noticed there was no wound on her chest through the hole in her clothes before she exclaimed, "When did the Federation's Green Elixir become so effective that it can even heal without leaving scars behind?"
"That's not the Green Elixir's effect either, but the blood's effect of the person you brought in."
"Are you suspecting that person is an evolved vampiric being from one of the inter-dimensional beasts, Senior Guo?" Estelle Xiao finally understood and queried with surprise before adding, "But that's not right. That person should be an albino human."
Click!
Senior Officer Guo undid Officer Xiao's handcuffs before he said, "Whether he is or not, you should still pay the hospital for a scan and checkup tomorrow. In any case, that person is dangerous. Don't approach him again. And also..."
"And also...?" Estelle Xiao glanced at Senior Officer Guo curiously, waiting for him to finish his words.
"Ahem." Senior Officer Guo coughed before he said, "And also, Captain Wudi said not to bring this person into the station again."
"Why?" Estelle Xiao expressed her confusion.
"Because..." Senior Officer Guo was about to explain when the entire building began shaking intensely.
Everyone was immediately shocked.
"Oh, sh*t. The station is done for. Quickly jump out the windows!" Officer Wan cried.
Everyone immediately reacted—all except the Bawles brother handcuffed to his medical bed.
Nevertheless, a Level 12 Hunter in the Initiate Realm would not be stopped by something like an ordinary medical bed.
As such, Rusty Bawles freed his legs and leaped out the broken windows shortly after the others, taking the medical bed with him.
At the same time, Captain Wudi and the other officers could be seen evacuating a safe distance from the main lobby's side before they watched the building crumble ground.
Captain Wudi's lips twitched profusely at the sight.
"Don't stop me." He spat.
Captain Wudi immediately took out his handgun and cocked the gun before he was pinned down by two other officers.
"Don't be rash, Captain Wudi! This isn't your fault!"
"That's right! Don't give up on life, sir! You'll need to delete your hard drive first!
The officers persuaded before Captain Wudi roared, "What are you two runts talking about?! Unhand me at once! I'ma go shoot them mother f*cking b*tches!"
"Ugh—!" The two officers immediately choked on their following words before one of them asked, "Sir, weren't you going to commit suicide?"
"Why would I do such a thing? Dying is scary!" Captain Wudi barked.
The two officers were immediately floored. That sure sounded like their captain, alright. Why would they even begin to think that their captain would have the guts to kill himself?
"Sir, allow us to assist you!" The officers said.
"Hmm..." Captain Wudi frowned slightly before he nodded, "Alright, you can both come—actually go round up everyone that wants to join. We are going to hunt the f*cking Bloodmoon Gang down to the last man!"
"Yes, sir!" The two officers answered excitedly. Finally, they can get some juicy action and not be held accountable.
While they were thinking about how Captain Wudi will shoulder the consequences of the kill operation, Captain Wudi was thinking about how many meat shields he would be able to bring along with him!
Shortly after, the two officers returned with another six people. Estelle Xiao, Senior Officer Guo, Officer Phuc, and Officer Wan could be seen among them.
"Captain Wudi, this is everyone!" One of the two officers reported.
Captain Wudi shortly nodded before he barked, "Let's roll out!"
"…roll out of what, though…? The station has become flat as a pancake…" Estelle Xiao muttered in a soft voice as she took a glance back at the destruction.
However, her words were still overheard by Captain Wudi before his body shook slightly.
"Just shut up and follow me!"
