I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World

Chapter 49 - Cedric Doyle

When Albion and Klein Seymour arrived outside the Seymour family's big fishing business's corporate headquarters, the time was roughly 5PM.

Klein Seymour parked the car in one of the empty roadside parking slots in front of the big building and waited inside the vehicle. None of them stepped out under Albion's suggestion.

"Let us wait inside the car. You can give your daughter a call and tell her to come to us. At this distance, there shouldn't be any danger, and we can also observe our surroundings. There's no need to wait outside."

"Alright. Let us do as Young Master Albion suggests." Klein Seymour nodded before flipping out his phone to call.

In truth, Albion did not consider Eleanor's safety when he made the suggestion. No, it was for another reason.

In front of them was another parked car—an expensive black supercar at that. A handsome young man in a black suit with a Pompadour-styled hair was seen leaning against the black supercar with a bouquet of flowers in his hands. It was clear that he was waiting to give the flower bouquet to someone.

At a glance, anyone could tell that this person was a rich young master. Waiting inside the car was to avoid trouble with this person.

Albion had read too many novels about encounters with rich young masters to know how things would play out. He would rather not have to deal with such troublesome situations.

Thirty minutes later, the time became 5:30PM, the time office workers usually clock off from work. It would not be long from now that many people would start to leave the building.

The rich young master had noticed their arrival for some time but did not bother with them.

Albion could see that the person was getting impatient by the moment he was frequently checking the time on his gold watch and tapping the ground repeatedly with his feet.

Suddenly, the rich young master's eyes lit up as he spots a beautiful lady amongst the crowd of office workers exiting the building.

The person hurriedly approached Eleanor and greeted her while offering his flower bouquet, "Eleanor, I bought these flowers for you. Will you be free to join me for dinner tonight?"

Naturally, if Eleanor accepted the gift, she would also be forced to accept the invitation to dine with the person. It was a low-key tactic to compel her.

"Cedric, I've said this many times already. You don't have to wait for me after work and stop buying me flower bouquets. I don't want them!" Eleanor Seymour said displeasedly.

"Ah, it's fine if you don't want them. You don't have to accept them, but what about that dinner?" The person called Cedric asked with a face full of smiles.

It was clear that this was not the first time, nor did it seem like it would be the last time either. He had been rejected countless times, but he did not know when to give up.

His full name was Cedric Doyle, the young master of the wealthy Doyle family, one of the ten most affluent families living in Silvercove City.

"I..."

Eleanor frowned. Why did this person have to put her through the same situation every time? Does he not get the message that she was not interested, or was he just too thick-skinned?

Seeing that his daughter was being put on the spot, Klein Seymour got out of the car and said to Albion, "Let me take a moment to go fetch my daughter, Young Master Albion." Klein Seymour said.

"Sure."

Albion nodded without any intention to follow him. One Klein Seymour was enough to deal with the situation. According to the script, it would only be messy if he joined him—is what Albion believed.

He casually glanced down at the cup holder and found it to be filled with lollipops. Unexpectedly, Mr. Klein was quite the sweet tooth. Feeling a bit of nostalgia, Albion decided to have one and reminisce for old time's sake.

"Dad!"

Eleanor Seymour's eyes immediately lit up the moment she spotted her father coming to fetch her.

"Sorry, I'm busy today. My father came to pick me up." Eleanor Seymour said to Cedric Doyle.

"Huh?" Cedric Doyle exclaimed with confusion before he shortly mumbled, "But you drove here..."

Nevertheless, Cedric Doyle quickly put his thoughts aside to assess the person Eleanor claimed to be her father.

Despite pursuing Eleanor for two years, it could be said that this was the first time he actually met Eleanor's father.

Before this, he had only known of the person's name. Seeing that the person arrived in such a cheap car, it had to be true.

"Hello, Mr. Klein. I am Cedric Doyle, and I would like to take your daughter out for dinner. Would that be fine with you?" Cedric Doyle asked politely.

"You are... ah, Raylan's boy." Klein Seymour took a moment to recall.

Seymour and Doyle had some relationship through business cooperations. The Doyle family was mostly in charge of printing labels for the Seymour family's canned products. It could even be said that the Doyle family's success was closely tied to the Seymour family.

Alas, Klein Seymour still shook his head and said, "I'm afraid not. We have plans for a family dinner tonight."

"Family dinner is a great thing, Mr. Klein. I wonder if I can also join?" Cedric Doyle shamelessly asked.

Meanwhile, Albion was enjoying the situation from the passenger seat while sucking his lollipop. He was greatly impressed by this Cedric person's thick skin. It seemed like this person would not give up unless someone spells it for him.

Naturally, that someone was Eleanor Seymour. Her patience had grown thin by Cedric Doyle's constant pestering.

"No! Didn't you listen to my father's words? It's a FAMILY dinner. Get it? You're not invited!" Eleanor Seymour hurriedly said, stressing her words clearly so that even an idiot would understand.

She was afraid that if she did not say something, her father would really allow this person to join them.

Being rejected so rudely, Cedric Doyle failed to maintain his smile. His expression slowly shifted to a more solemn look before he suddenly recalled that someone else had also arrived in Mr. Klein's cheap white car.

"If it's a family-only dinner, then who the hell is he?" Cedric Doyle pointed.

Eleanor Seymour turned around with confusion to look before her eyes fell on Albion and shined with appreciation. This person looked completely different after he was changed into better clothes and had his hair styled. She secretly gave him a 10/10 for his looks.

Nevertheless, she was unhappy when she recalled that this person had clogged her toilet. In mere moments, her eyes suddenly brightened with an idea for revenge. It could also get rid of her current problem once and for all.

"Him? He is my fiancé!" Eleanor Seymour stated defiantly.

"What?!"

Cedric Doyle's eyes immediately shot up fiercely.

He glared at the person in the cheap white car. He had been pursuing Eleanor Seymour for two years, and the result he gets is; Eleanor getting engaged to someone else?!

He never heard of her getting a boyfriend!

"You're Eleanor's fiancé?!" Cedric Doyle queried hatefully.

At the same time, Albion was so stunned his lollipop fell out from his gaping mouth. After a moment, he immediately cursed, 'Dammit! Why is the attention turned on me in the end?! Does it have to be so cliché?!"

Albion stuck his head out the window and barked, "Bullshit! I am her grandpa!"

The follow-up words were immediately stuck in Cedric Doyle's throat.

"Huh?"
