Chapter 296 - Princess Floria's Request
Once Albion asked for the details, Princess Floria put on a pitiful expression and began explaining the problem that plagued the royal family.
"You might have already noticed, but because of the elven race's longevity, it is not easy for our people to reproduce. As such, our family is very big…"
"Very big?" Albion interrupted as he twirled the teacup in his hand with a nonchalant smile before asking, "Don't you think your words are very contradictory?"
"It is the truth, Lord Albion! I did not speak a word of falsehood!" Princess Floria appeared agitated by Albion's doubts as she explained.
"While it is true that our family is huge, I only share a blood relation with a minority of the family members. My father, King Zarion, has many wives, but the number of siblings I have can be counted with my hands!"
"Hoh?" Albion held the teacup to his chin thoughtfully after Princess Floria's words piqued his curiosity. "How many wives does King Zarion have exactly?"
"Last I counted, there were at least 112 of them. The newest addition to our family was married in three months ago," Princess Floria answered truthfully.
Ka-cha!
The teacup in Albion's hand dropped on the ground and shattered into countless shards after he learned how many wives the Elf King had.
"Why would a king need so many wives for? If he needs to produce heirs, he can copulate with one wife until she conceives his child," Albion spoke with a dumbfounded look and asked, "Where would he find the time to please so many wives?"
Once Albion raised this question, Princess Floria lowered her head with shame and embarrassment.
"I'm ashamed to say this, but it is because my father shares his love equally to all my mothers that he usually has no time to manage the tribe. Therefore, tribe management is usually divided among my mothers when they aren't called to my father's sleeping quarters."
"…" Albion was briefly speechless before he uttered incredulously, "How is this person called King Zarion? He should be called King Stallion instead…"
Old mate was living the big life!
For some reason, Albion felt annoyed that he could not enjoy the same lifestyle despite possessing power, wealth, and countless people under him.
Nevertheless, his jealousy was quickly scrapped, followed by a headache.
Whether it was Albion or the Ashura Emperor, they could not make their women happy. Otherwise, why was he dumped and the Ashura Emperor killed by his wife?
'I can't even please one woman. I don't even want to think about 111 other women if I was in King Stallion's shoes.'
While Albion had this thought, Princess Floria's expression became less accommodating and more stiff.
"Lord Albion might be a True Immortal, respected and feared by many, but I hope that doesn't give you the right to insult my father as you please," Princess Floria stated unhappily.
After all, her father was not far from the realm of true immortality himself.
"Hmm…" Albion hummed contemplatively before he said with a serious nod, "You're right, Princess. I shouldn't joke about your father. After all, he is working hard to continue his lineage."
Alas, Albion continued to mock King Zarion, causing Princess Floria's body to shake with anger faintly.
However, she held it in as she had a favor to ask of the person.
"Anyway…" Princess Floria said after a deep breath before continuing, "The point is, my father has always shared his love equally. But recently, my father has only shown favor for one person and kicked everyone else out of the palace."
"And this person is the demoness you spoke of? It must Empress Una," Albion smiled knowingly.
Only that person could have pulled off something like this.
As the chief manager of the Ashura Group's finance in the past, Empress Una had mastered the art of charming and was an expert in business negotiations.
It could even be said that Empress Una's charming skills were not inferior to a succubus.
The Dark Emperor was once subjected to Empress Una's charming skills countless times in the past. But, unfortunately for Empress Una, the Dark Emperor's heart was dead and unmoved like a block of wood.
"Yes, exactly!" Princess Floria quickly acknowledged Albion's words before she said agitatedly, "It has to be that wench's doing! She must have cast some sort of spell on my father! Otherwise, how could one b*tch change my father so much with just her level of beauty?!"
"Empress Una's specialty is charming skills. So it's not strange for King Zarion to fall under her spell," Albion casually stated.
"Charming skills…" Princess Floria muttered softly with a frown before she clenched her fist indignantly. "I knew it. It had to be something like that. No, it can only be something like that."
The problem was that even if she knew, there was nothing she could do.
The Elf King was completely under Empress Una's spell, and the royal guards, who were all experts in the Spirit Manifestation Realm, only listened to the orders of the Elf King.
"And so? What do you want me to do?" Albion asked nonchalantly.
"I heard that Lord Albion and Empress Una are enemies. Won't you help us remove her?" Princess Floria pleaded before adding, "With your strength, it should be an easy task."
"That may be the case. However, why should I help you?" Albion gazed at Princess Floria indifferently before he asked coolly, "What can you offer me?"
While it was true that Albion came to Elvaraden to catch Empress Una, there was no need to do it for free.
Nevertheless, his sudden question froze Princess Floria as their table fell silent—or so it should be.
Munch, munch, munch…
Only Fenriri's eating could be heard as she cleaned up plates after plates while Albion and Princess Floria were conversing seriously.
She thought she was a meat lover, but the elves' vegetarian delicacies opened her eyes to a new world of wonders.
Fenriri had done her best at restraining her eating, making mimimal noise to avoid interrupting her master's talk.
But no matter how much she restrained herself, it could not avoid catching their attention once they became silent.
Faced with Albion and Princess Floria's stare, Fenriri became shy as she stopped eating and returned the last plate of food back to the table.
"Fenriri is done… Fenriri won't eat anymore… Master and the first princess can eat…" is what she said…
However, everything else on the table was already cleaned out by her.
