He looked around the room, taking in the magnificence of his surroundings. The giant mirror glowed golden, reflecting the morning light.

The chandeliers above hung like shining jewels, and the delicate designs on the walls and furniture made it seem like he had completely jumped to a different world.

For a moment, he simply lay there, appreciating the splendor of the room. "I really missed living in a castle," he said with a smile.

Just as he spoke, the door creaked open, and Eleanor stepped inside. Her eyes brightened when she saw him.

"Julian, you are back!" she said with an excited smile.

Julian spread his arms wide with a playful grin tugging at his lips. "Yes," he replied.

Eleanor's face lit up even more, and she ran towards him, wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug. The warmth of her embrace made Julian feel at home in a way that only she could.

She pulled back slightly from the hug, her brows furrowing in confusion. "Where were you?" she asked curiously.

Julian smiled. "I was exploring some ancient ruins," he replied, maintaining a tone of mystery.

"Ancient ruins?" Eleanor repeated, puzzled. "What do you mean?"

Julian chuckled softly, enjoying the intrigue he had sparked. "Yes, it had some history," he said, shrugging lightly as if it were no big deal.

"But forget about that for now," he added. "How is everything here at the castle? What's new?"

Eleanor immediately replied with a hint of concern, "Aunty Alice has arrived. She diagnosed Grandfather and said it was just a mana problem he got from pushing his cultivation too far. Other than that, everything's as usual."

She paused, giving Julian a moment to digest the information before adding, "Oh, and I am sure you have heard about the conference held in the Apollo Kingdom."

Julian's expression shifted instantly. His brows furrowed. I really forgot about the conference, he thought, frustration bubbling up inside him.

His whole plan for visiting the Apollo Kingdom had revolved around participating in the conference, but it seemed the event had slipped his mind amidst everything else.

Julian looked at Eleanor. "What happened to the conference?" he asked, genuinely curious.

Eleanor raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. "Do you not know about it?" she asked, surprised by his ignorance.

"Yes, I forgot about the conference," Julian admitted.

Eleanor chuckled, shaking her head. "Knowing you, you were probably screwing with some woman out there," she teased.

Julian cupped her face gently. "Not everyone is as pretty as you, though," he replied with a warm smile.

Eleanor smiled. "You and your tongue," she teased, her cheeks blushing slightly.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

She then continued, "The conference was held successfully, and the mysterious king of the Apollo Kingdom was none other than the prince of the Hades Kingdom."

Julian's eyes widened in surprise. "What?" he repeated, "The prince of the Hades Kingdom? That's unexpected."

He leaned forward. "And what else?" he asked.

Eleanor nodded, her expression growing more serious. "The kings of the neighboring kingdoms all participated in the conference, except for the king of the Hades Kingdom," she said.

Julian's eyes widened in shock again. "So his own father didn't participate?" he repeated, trying to grasp the situation.

"What is exactly going on?"

Eleanor's brows furrowed. "Right? It's so weird. It's like they are fighting among themselves," she said.

"And the most shocking part about it is that the king of Apollo proposed an alliance with our kingdom and Hermes."

Julian's mind raced at the revelation. Hades is planning to attack us in a couple of years, he thought, the pieces beginning to fit together.

In a magnificent room in the Hades Kingdom, three men sat around a large table. At the head of the table, the King of Hades sat in silence, his expression unreadable. To his right was Rod, and to his left was Duke Rowan.

Both men appeared tense, and their eyes flickered to the king, waiting for him to speak up.

Unable to contain himself any longer, Rod broke the silence. "Your Majesty, why do you not intervene when the prince is openly rebelling against the kingdom?" he asked, his words laced with concern and a hint of frustration.

Duke Rowan nodded in agreement, his voice also carrying a tone of unease. "Yes, Your Majesty. I know the prince is a grand mage at such a young age, but we have many grand mages under our command. Surely we can handle him if it comes to that."

However, the King of Hades sat silently, his gaze distant as if lost in a thought. Neither Rod nor Rowan could read the king's expression, and it only served to heighten the tension in the room.

After a long and painful silence, the King of Hades finally spoke. "The plan about attacking the Ares Kingdom..." He paused, letting the weight of his words settle in the room. "We cannot proceed. Call every one of our spies back."

Rod and Rowan exchanged stunned looks, unable to hide the shock and anger they felt. They had spent years planning, building alliances, and strengthening their forces. And to hear the king call it all off so suddenly was nothing short of a betrayal of their ambitions.
