Chapter 485 Sect Mission [2]
Chapter 485 Sect Mission [2]
Finally, after what felt like an hour of walking, Zhao Tian and Li Jia reached a large clearing.
The trees parted, and grazing near the edge of the clearing there were some Tuskrend boars.
These were not ordinary boars; they were massive and had thick, black fur bristled with wild energy, and their sharp tusks gleamed under the sunlight.
"We are close..."
Li Jia nodded, her blue eyes narrowing as she glanced around at the area and raised her hand to brush a strand of hair away from her face, her other hand resting on the hilt of the sword strapped to her waist. The clearing was quiet for a moment, and then, like a crack of thunder, one of the boars raised its head, sensing their presence.
*flick* Its crimson eyes locked onto them, and with a low growl, it stomped the ground, preparing to charge.
Just as Zhao Tian prepared to make his move, a slight frown crept onto his face and he glanced at Li Jia.
The air around Li Jia began to shift, a cool mist swirling around her as she unsheated her sword.
'Oh, water elemental...'
Her sword lit up with a faint blue glow as water began to swirl around its blade condensing into sharp, watery tendrils, and the mist thickened, coiling around her, forming small waves that shimmered in the sunlight. "Grrrghhh..." The other Tuskrend boars noticed the two intruders and their growls vibrated through the ground as they prepared to charge.
*swoosh* Nonetheless, Li Jia stepped forward, her movements as fluid as the water.
*sleesh* The blade shimmered in the sunlight, and with a precise strike, she slashed at one of the boar's legs, causing it to falter. *thud*
"Guaarghhh!" Its bellow of pain echoed through the clearing, alerting the remaining boars too.
Li Jia turned her eyes to the other boars as a blue glint passed through her eyes and with a fluid motion, she slashed her sword through the air.
A wave of water burst from her blade, slicing through the air and colliding with the boar's tough hide.
"RUAARGH!!" The creature let out a pained roar as the water cut deep into its flesh, slowing its charge and stumbling to the ground.
Li Jia didn't hesitate and flicked her wrist, summoning streams of water that swirled around her like serpents.
*swoosh* With a swift, commanding gesture, the water shot forward, piercing the boar's thick hide like spears.
The Tuskrend boar stumbled, collapsing with a heavy thud.
Meanwhile, two more of the Tuskrend boars were charging at Li Jia, their massive bodies thundering across the ground.
But she remained calm, her eyes focused and she raised her hand, as the mist around her condensed into a thin, shimmering barrier of water.
*thoom* The first boar slammed into the water wall, but instead of breaking through, the water absorbed the force, rippling and bending.
Li Jia twirled her sword, "Water Surface Slash." the sharp, crescent-shaped wave of water shot forward, slicing through the air and hitting the second boar' chest
"Guaargh!" The creature howled in pain as it fell, its massive body crashing into the dirt. *thud*
The other boars, began to grow agitated, their deep, guttural growls echoing through the clearing. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
But Li Jia was already on her move, summoning more water as small pools formed around her feet, gathering into orbs of liquid that floated in the air.
With a sharp flick of her wrist, she sent them flying toward the remaining boars.
"Water Bind!"
The water orbs exploded into long, fluid tendrils that wrapped tightly around the boars' legs and tusks.
*thud* The beasts struggled, their powerful bodies thrashing violently, but they couldn't break free from the water's grip.
Li Jia quickly finished off the remaining boars with a swift slash of her sword.
Satisfied, she slashed her sword, sending droplets of blood and water flying from the edge of her sword, and turned her gaze towards Zhao Tian.
She was curious to see how he had fared. As she looked at him, she saw him standing there with a smile on his face as blue lightning crackled around his body with seven boars' dead bodies beside him.
Looking at the crackling bolts of lightning, her gaze narrowed 'Lightning elemental... and he is fast.'
With a smile, she spoke "Seems like we have already finished collecting 10 Tuskrend boars."
Zhao Tian gave a nod and glanced at the remaining Tuskrend boars that are growling at them ready to charge at them "Now what to do with them, should we kill them too?"
Li Jia raised an eyebrow, thinking about it. "Hmm, the mission was only for 10. It doesn't make sense to waste energy on the extras. Let's just-" *flick* In the next instant, Zhao Tian appeared beside her and grasped her waist as his soft whisper caressed her ears "We are leaving..."
Huh?
Li Jia barely had time to process his words before her vision blurred, and a sudden sense of disorientation washed over her.
She felt the world shift around her in a dizzying swirl as Zhao Tian teleported them both 100 meters away from their previous spot. Snapping out of it, she grabbed her forehead and raised her head to look at Zhao Tian, a flash of anger in her voice "You... what are you doing? Take your hands off-"
*THOOOOM* An enormous creature came crashing into the floor where they were just right now shaking the ground and creating a mini earthquake, with dust and debris flying everywhere. Hm? Li Jia's gaze narrowed and she unconsciously raised her hands to his shoulders for support, her fingers wrinkling the fabric of his robe.
It was a large serpent in the size of almost 70 meters slithering in the ground with massive wounds on its body, its red scales shimmering in the sunlight.
"Horah!" With a booming laugh that shook the trees, a woman came dashing from the air, her blonde hair fluttering in the air as her whole body shimmered in yellow energy.
Looking at her, Zhao Tian was quite amused 'Light energy... the rarest elemental.'
As he thought, his gaze flickered to the disciple token on her waist and saw its golden color 'A core disciple...'
Li Jia also noticed the woman's energy and was utterly surprised "She has light elemental and... a core disciple."
