Human King

Chapter 59: South (6)

Chapter 59: South (6)

Dawn was walking towards the goblins who went in to save him.

Although he wasn't in the best moods, Dawn wouldn't forget about what to do next.

When he reached the goblins, Dawn could see Mos and Wos, who rushed in here when they heard and saw the commotion.

"Oy."

Wos gulped down some saliva when he heard Dawn's chilling voice, but still, he was able to remain calm.

"Yes, king. I never expected for you to take down a whole village."

"Enough about that. The next step is to go there, right?"

"Yes. We are still on time, and I'm sure they aren't fighting yet. After all, we didn't make too much noise here for the goblins there to notice."

Dawn nodded his head and took a look at Mos. He observed Mos carefully because he wasn't sure if he should let him handle this.

Nevertheless, Dawn still decided to make Mos do it. After all, he was the only goblin who could lead others except for Dawn and Wos. Yamu was a bona fide warrior type of a goblin.

It was then.

---This guy...

Mos straightened his back and puffed out his chest, and stood tall even when he was in contact with Dawn's gaze.

Dawn could guess why Mos was doing that; it was probably to reassure him.

"Heh."

Dawn smirked when he saw Mos' clenched fists.

He saw clearly scared of Dawn, yet he was standing proud. Even Wos faltered a little bit when they were talking.

'Applaudable.' Dawn thought.

If it were his normal retinue of goblins, they probably wouldn't be scared of Dawn.

After all, they believe that Dawn is the king of goblins. The king is the absolute ruler over life and death for goblins.

However, that wasn't the case for the goblins who newly joined them. Dawn just won the war and got them as a result.

It wasn't because the goblins were willing to follow him.

"Good. Very good. Mos will take care of the rowdy bunch over there."

Dawn pointed at the goblins at the back with a grin on his face. Although it was a grin, one mustn't forget that his face was scary even for a goblin.

"Yes, king. I shall make them no longer rowdy."

"Wos, guide us to the second village."

"Eh? Y-yes."

Wos stuttered a little as he was confused about the exchange between the two. He heard Dawn praise someone, and then he appointed Mos...it was clear who he was praising.

Dawn walked forward and looked at their target, the place where Karkas and his other subordinates have gone to.

"Before the sun rises, I shall make the goblins of the Three Big Villages fall."

Dawn said as he left with his new and newer subordinates.

****

On a certain village, an army of 200 was currently resting. These men were the soldiers of the Forpor kingdom who went here under the guise of being bandits.

They just conquered the village and destroyed the army stationed here. They were pillaging the goods and wealth that could be found, and some were doing something else.

Swoosh!

Splash! The blood came flowing down from a woman's belly when a sword struck her.

Shiiing!

The man who attacked brandished his sword to clean the blood, and the pieces of meat stuck in his sword.

It was then.

"We're done here!"

Someone shouted and warned the other guys who were having fun in the village.

Some practiced their sword skills using the people's corpses, while some had 'fun' with the women.

But, all stopped when they heard the man's voice. After all, that was their leader who just finished having his fun.

"Commander! Are we going to regroup now with the main force?"

At that time, a footsoldier asked the commander.

Normally, such actions weren't allowed, but because they were having a good time, they didn't pay any attention to it.

"Yeah. Yeah. We're gonna attack a town soon. Well, don't worry. We'll be safe."

At that moment, all the soldiers shouted out 'Why?' as if it was a chorus they prepared for a long time.

"It's because we're bandits! Kehahaha!"

The commander laughed while holding his belly. It seems that the fact that they were 'bandits' was fun for him.

The commander wiped a tear with a finger from his eyes before continuing.

"A-anyway, we'll leave soon. It seems the prince plans to take over Raks."

"Haha! The prince sure is great."

"That's right! You gotta do your best in battle, alright?! So we can be stationed on the front lines!"

Kehahaha! The commander laughed once more. A bulge appeared on his pants as he imagined being the first to enter a town or a village.

"Yes, sir! We'll definitely do our best!"

Of course, the soldiers, too, wished for what the commander imagined.

If they were allowed to do anything they want in war, nothing could stop a human.

That's how bad they are.

"Alright! Rest, and then we'll leave tomorrow!"

The commander walked off towards a certain house where he kept his 'toys.'

The joyful laughter and the sorrowful tears were the only things apparent here in this village.

****

In a big town which is called Jihto, many corpses lay outside its walls. From the west, blood is the only thing visible on the ground.

In the east, swords and armors were abundant together with their now fallen owners.

No one could tell how many died today, but regardless of that, the people who are currently occupying the Jihto were having a good time.

"The prince is great! To think we would be able to defeat and force that commander Pete to retreat in no time! Truly, a prince befitting of the throne!"

"Yeah! Cheers!!"

In the plaza where the people were gathered, there was a man sitting on an extravagant chair with a table in front.

Of course, the adjutants of the man were sitting and eating the food on the table.

The person on the extravagant chair was the crown prince of the Forpor kingdom, Narkus Von Forpor.

"Haha! What shall we do, prince?"

"Do we end the south?! The momentum is on our side! If we kill Prawler, this war is as good as ours!"

"Oh no, please watch your words. We are bandits! Bandits! Kuhahaha!"

The men were truly pleased as they flatter each other and, of course, Narkus.

They all partied until the night came, spreading its wings of darkness.

Some soldiers were put in night duty, while some took a rest. As this was still enemy territory, there were quite a lot of soldiers in the night duty.

After all, nothing could go wrong if their defense were tight.

Of course, the area where the defense was so tight that a rat could not even sneak in was where prince Narkus was sleeping.

It was the room of the feudal lord, who was also the city lord in charge of the town of Jihto and the area around it.

Inside the room were furniture and stuff worthy of being owned by a nobleman.

The bed was just to Narkus' liking despite him being a prince.

And on the bed, Narkus wasn't sleeping but sitting with his legs crossed.

"How is it? Mahona."

Narkus spoke to the wind. After all, no one was there except for him.

However, strangely enough, a voice answered him.

"I already gave them the order to start the hunt. However, I thought we had plenty of time?"

"I also don't know. I received a Divine Message saying that we should hurry up."

"Well, all is according to the God of War's will."

Narkus smirked when he heard what the voice said.

"God of War's will is my will. You'll help me in conquering the Rosas kingdom's south, won't you?"

There was a reason why Mahona, the leader of the two, Boss and Red, was following Narkus around.

It wasn't because of his extraordinary prowess or making him a hero. There's no way someone would actually do something cliche like that.

Even though Narkus was a talented young man, many could stand side to side with him.

There wasn't anything special about him except the fact that he was a prince.

Mahona was following him only because of Narkus' other identity.

"Of course, O, the Great Apostle of the Great God of War, Narkus."

Narkus was the Great Apostle of the Great God of War, Apolaki.

That was the only reason he could order Mahona and even the two strong guys in the forest, Boss and Red.

"Hmmm. I like that answer. Now tell me, is there a chance we'll lose this war?"

"I can't say there is no way, but it should be impossible for us to lose at this point."

"Tell me more about it."

"The south will never be able to reconcile with each other even if their pillar is Prawler. More so if the reason why they can't is because of Prawler who is hated by the nobles."

Narkus chuckled a little before asking with a sly smile on his face.

"Do you want to know what Apolaki told me?"

It was then.

A beautiful woman appeared in front of Narkus in the blink of an eye. That woman was enchantingly beautiful with her white short hair.

"Of course!"

Mahona said with her white eyes sparkling. It was the Divine Message of the God that she serves; there's no way she can be calm about it.

"Well, it's because of the Eight..."
