If she was to fight, Karyk was sure that it would have taken quite a lot of effort to kill her. Although eventually he would have succeeded, it would have been a waste of time for him.

Instead of spending time fighting, he wanted to spend time absorbing the memories of the Princess who was the only person in contact with the Angels.
