Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

Chapter 88 Limited Time Quest

"Now we know where the droppings are, we just have to wait for one more day." Emma sighed while crashing on the bed of a hotel in the region.

The guards and the people they had captured did slave droppings once every ten days and the next dropping was happening a day later.

The group they had captured had called themselves members of the society of pyramids. According to them, the name showcased the perfect structure of the hierarchy.

"So, what are we going to do till tomorrow night?" Emma asked while looking up at Zack from the bed. She was still wearing the same clothes from earlier and had a relaxed expression on her face.

Zack on the other hand was looking at his status.

[ Name: Zack

Level: 23

Titles: Viscount of the Eizenburgh kingdom, Nemesis of Insects, Liberator, Heir Of Pendragon

Main Class: Mage

Subclass: None

 Current Mount: Daedalus (Scam Eagle)

Stats:

HP: 2860 / 2860

INT: 24 AGI: 25

STR: 27 DEX: 29

VIT: 28]

He had one of the most balanced stats in the entire game but his balanced stats couldn't compare to the stats of those at a higher level.

After completing the last part of the quest, Zack would reach his previous level again. However, the gap between him and the top 10 would keep on widening.

Elyon too had fallen even though he was level 31.

'I have to catch up soon.' The only hope Zack had left was the dungeon in his and Emma's guild.

If the rumors from his previous life were correct then the vibranium guild definitely had an auto fight feature.

So once the guild managed to reach the required 10000 glory, things would take a major turn.

"You want to roam around the place, Emma? There is a chance that we might find a few bandits to loot." Zack asked as the pink-haired woman stood up and stretched her body.

"Let me change into something warmer though," Emma replied as she chose a new pair of clothes and equipped them.

Since Trishapat was a desert city, the temperature dropped below minus degrees at the night. Roaming around in cotton clothes was like going to a party in your undergarments.

Zack too changed into a warmer pair of clothes before the two of them left the hotel.

[ Limited time quest:

All the players in the Trishapat city can capture as many bandits as they want and can kill them too. This quest is only eligible to those who were in the city since before midnight.

- For every twenty bandits captured or kill, players will level up once.

Time Limit: 6 Hours

Current number of players in Trishapat city: 103 ]

Zack's eyes widened when he saw the number of players in the city.

'Also, why did this quest activate at such a time.' He wondered before looking at the smiling Emma.

"Looks like we have a little luck with us. We can easily gain a few kills and level up at least twice." She then took out her bow.

"If I had to guess, I would say that there are hardly ten or so bandit bases in the entire city. It's because the laws are too brutal if you get caught. So judging by the sheer number of players in the place, we might not be able to get much."

"Better be optimistic than pessimistic."

"True."

The duo then left the hotel in a hurry and under the cover of the darkness, started roaming through the alleys.

Some of the best hideouts were those that were visible in plain sight. Zack had learned this while playing Hikari in his previous life.

So when he saw a very strange bar situated at the end of the alley, he immediately recognized it to be a hiding place.

"Emma, detonate that place," Zack announced while pointing at the bar as Emma looked confused.

Despite that, she still notched an arrow in her bow and shot it at the entrance of the bar. Five seconds later, the entire bar erupted.

[ 40 bandits killed ]

[ 2 levels gained ]

"Now, let's go back to the hotel."

"Shouldn't we kill more now?" Emma asked with a confused look as Zack shook his head.

"Since this is a limited-time quest, there is a chance that player-killing is allowed."

She immediately understood what Zack meant by that. If the player killing was allowed, there was a chance that people might attack both of them.

"Then I guess I should sleep…" Emma muttered while yawning as she crashed on the bed.

Hikari was taking in more and more opinions day by day and the game was already becoming similar to real life.

Soon enough, an eating and drinking system was going to be introduced which will bring the realistic feeling to a whole new level.

'I should start noting down things just in case I forget them.' Zack's knowledge about the real world and Hikari lasted till 2075.

After that, he had no idea what would happen.

'I wonder what Kai has in plan…' Zack sighed before he logged out of the game.

After moving up from the gaming pod, he went to his room and looked at the diary lying on the desk. He then started noting every major event he remembered, starting from the release of gaming pods officially in three days.

Meanwhile, at a hotel in Trishapat…

'It's another weird dream…' Emma sighed as she stared at the beautiful scenery.

Back when she was in the hospital, Emma had a weird dream which she had forgotten as soon as she had woken up.

However, on the day Evangeline had come to the mansion to install the gaming pods, Emma had been calmly napping.

She had seen another weird dream which had made her remember the one before it.

However, she forgot about both of them as soon as she had been woken up by the sound of the bell.

Now, she remembered everything again as she turned around while expecting to see the man.

Instead, she was met with a boy barely five feet tall and staring at her.

"Big sis, why did you let my brother die? Why didn't big brother save him?" A tear rolled down the boy's cheek as he stared at Emma.

Against her will, her body moved forward and hugged the boy before speaking in a voice that was her own and at the same time, didn't belong to her.

"Don't worry Icarus, you will meet your brother soon. It's our promise."
