Chapter 158: 157. Torture (2)
Ignoring the fact they had planned to hire someone to assassinate Lucius, something enough to condemn them to hell in Camilla's book, the fact that they were nobles was already enough for Camilla to act!
Of course, Camilla wasn't a mindless drone; she knew that there were still good people among the nobles. But at the same time, the years of brainwashing by the revolutionary army weren't in vain. Her perception of all nobles bordered on extreme prejudice.
Now that she had a pair of evil nobles in her hands, descendants of one of the great heroic families no less, Camilla felt like she was taking a step closer to her goals. Suddenly, her heart burst with emotion. In just a few short weeks, Lucius had taken down some of the descendants of the epic families.
What could such a person do if given a few more years? Descendants of the main branch, the elders, or maybe even….
Camilla quickly shook her distracting thoughts out of her head and looked back towards the struggling pair of brothers with a strange glint in her magnificent purple eyes. On any other occasion, even Lucius would find himself completely enamored and lost in their beauty, but right now Lucius felt a cold feeling that made his spine tingle.
Camilla didn't seem to notice and placed her shining dagger on the exposed arm of Chris. Without warning, her knife started digging into his flesh, causing blood to splatter and Chris to thrash around frantically. Camilla's face showed no surprise as she held down Chris tightly, her knife continuing to move around his arm.
Camilla was a person with extreme knowledge about the human body; as a result, her knife would not just dig into the flesh but also pass through regions of the body that had a high concentration of nerve bundles. This allowed the horrifying sensation not to numb down as the torture progressed but to become more and more vivid as time passed by.
Blood splattered all around the floor as poor Chris let out a pig-like screech, but each time, Camilla's knife only dug in deeper. It was a gruesome and fiendish sight, enough to make even the strongest man weak.
Although Tyler had a much stronger mind and resolve than his twin, his face quickly turned sickly pale as his legs began to shake.
"L-Lucius, please spare me. As long as you let me go, I promise that my brother and I won't get the Montford family involved. We'll disappear from your sight and never bother you or anyone close to you ever again."
Hearing this, Lucius just sighed and shook his head.
"Tyler, you're usually smart, so you should know by now that this isn't the answer I am looking for…"
Hearing this, Tyler's heart sank.
"Hold on, Lucius, please, let me talk!"
Tyler screamed and begged, but Lucius wasn't hearing any of it.
"Camilla."
"Yes, Lucius, I'm on it."
A satisfied look crept onto her beautiful face as her knife plunged into the twin brother of her previous victim with increased ferocity. It was so vicious that Lucius couldn't help but wince when he was out of sight of the people present.
Although Lucius talked tough to Tyler, his heart was in his mouth the entire time. If it wasn't for his expert control over his body, maintaining a soft smile the entire time, Lucius would have blown his own cover. It couldn't be helped; the sight of Camilla was too scary for poor Lucius.
The relationship between Lucius and Camilla had warmed up rapidly over the past few weeks, but even now, Lucius rarely got to see the beautiful and stoic woman smile. Every time he saw it, Lucius would be mesmerized and placed in a trance-like state at her beauty alone. But now that Lucius saw the smile on her face, he was completely and utterly horrified.
The times he had seen Camilla smile could be counted on one hand, so seeing her smile in such a horrific situation meant she was truly enjoying it to an extreme degree.
A stunningly beautiful woman surrounded by pools of blood, with blood splattered on her clothes and across her face, smiling in a way that could enrapture any man. In a sickening yet equally beautiful sense, it was strangely artistic, yet at this moment, Lucius only had one thought in his mind:
'Fuck, this bitch is crazy! As in crazy crazy!'
Soon, Tyler's similar wails of pain and torture echoed throughout the room as both he and Chris wailed in pain.
When they thought that only death could save them from their tragic fate, their hope was crushed.
Camilla was an expert at her craft. Before their lives could be in danger or the torture could leave any long-lasting injuries, she would quickly apply a high-grade healing potion, preventing them from even seeing the hint of death.
Soon, the torture seemed to be an eternal fate that would engulf them both.
Tyler was a tough man, but this alone was enough to completely break him.
"P-please, Lucius. Please, we have something we can offer you."
Hearing the words that he had been waiting for, Lucius waved for Camilla to stop. After applying some healing potion, he waited for them to speak again.
This time, the anger and hatred in Tyler and Chris's eyes were completely gone.
Well, it would be wrong to say it was gone.
How could you truly forgive someone who had brutally tortured you?
Instead, it was completely crushed by fear of the person in front of them.
Tyler took a deep breath before speaking again.
"Since you don't want to kill us, you're clearly looking for benefits."
Lucius didn't speak at Tyler's words and just smiled.
Knowing he had hit the nail on the head, Tyler wanted to sigh.
He had just wanted to teach an arrogant commoner a lesson; now he had to willingly offer something to satisfy this demon in front of him.
Taking a deep breath Tyler finally spoke
