Chapter 140 140. Reaction time

Chapter 140 140. Reaction time

Lucius rubbed his hands together and a wide smile appeared on his face with him, barely able to contain his excitement

Serena was a monster with loads of excellent talents copying a random talent form here would be worth it no matter what it was

Lucius opened up his system and used the random talent copy card.

All of a sudden a faint card appears in his hand which Lucius quickly crushed causing a rust of white light to radiate from his hand.

Lucius felt a warm supernatural sensation wash over his body as he was covered in a white light. He felt as if there was a strange energy that was trying to force its way into his cells.

Lucius remained in that strange state for an unknown amount of time

It was only when he heard a loud beep that he weakened from his state.

Quickly opening his system Lucius discovered which talent he had managed to copy and as he did so a wide smile

Appeared on his face.

[Master Assassin] (Golden)

Eventually, it couldn't just stop at a smile and burst out into an uncontrolled bout of laughter.

After all, this was Serena's main talent. She was a master assassin at the end of the day, even Camilla often used this talent to appear behind him like a ghost.

Now he knew it was just a matter of time before he could stand beside such monsters!

Lucius didn't know if it was because of his wolf laughter or even the after effect of his injuries catching up to him but Lucius was starting to feel tired all of a sudden.

'Well, I guess I did have an eventful day after all.' Thought Lucius

With this feeling gnawing away at him Lucius decided to call it quits for today and get some rest, after all, from tomorrow his training with Serena would truly begin and that woman didn't want to give him any breaks!

...,

The next day,

Lucius got up and quickly got ready.

Faced with his new tutor, he didn't dare be late.

Arriving on time, Lucius walked into the faintly familiar training hall and the second he did opened the doors.

He could see black haired beauty wearing a tight fitting sports uniform staring at him with a pair of Smokey black eyes that made his body subconsciously heat up. Unfortunately for Lucius he couldn't be allowed to admire this beauty for too long as soon a cold voice escaped from her cherry red lips.

"I see you finally decided to arrive." Said Serena unamused.

Faced with the sudden cold attitude, Lucius could just scratch his head awkwardly as he replied.

"Well, I arrived just on time, didn't I?"

Hearing this Serena coldly snorted

"Humph! When I was training it was a common expectation to arrive at least an hour before practice started."

Lucius had a lot he could say about such ridiculous requirements but he mumbled underneath his breath, but right at that moment, Serena's body flickered.

Before Lucius could even blink, Serena's body popped right in front of his eyes!

Lucius stepped back slightly but before he could even do that Serena's arm shot out grabbing him by the arm and pulling him to the centre of the training hall.

Lucius didn't say anything and let this mature beauty guide him where she wanted.

"Sit." Said Serena pointing to the floor

Lucius obliged and quickly sat down.

"Lucius," asked Serena

"Yes?" Responded Lucius a little confused

"You asked me to teach you dagger techniques correct?"

"Yes that's right," said Lucius

"If that's the case then what do you think is the most important aspect of dagger techniques?"

As soon as Serena asked that question, Lucius was caught a little off guard. It was true to say that he had never thought about things so deeply before.

Lucius placed his hand on his chin and pondered for a short while before eventually opening his lips.

"Well, for me, I guess it would be stability and movement that are the most important aspects of dagger techniques."

As Serena heard this she slightly shook her head.

"The things you said are important but I still wouldn't call them the most important aspect. After all, what is the greatest weakness and strength of daggers? Their short size. So with that the most important aspect of dagger techniques would have to be your reaction time!"

"Only with lightning-fast reaction time would you be able to move closer in and torment those who use longer range weapons, effectively capitalising on and breaking through their guard!"

As Serena spoke it was as if a lightbulb went off in Lucius's head. He could clearly see countless situations where when wielding daggers you would need an excellent reaction time that worked not only with your movement but also required excellent decision making to complement such swift reaction time.

"Fortunately for you Lucius, my previous teachers discovered a way to train not only reaction time but even movement and decision making."

As Serena spoke an enchantingly beautiful yet equally sadistic smile appeared on her face.

'Fuck!' Thought Lucius

'Who was her previous teacher? It was the God damn Bloody Hand!'

Before Lucius could audibly complain, the skin all over his body stood up and Lucius didn't even think before diving out of the way, and it was a good thing too!

"Bang!"

The second Lucius dived out of the way a small dent appeared in the ground.

Looking back Lucius broke out in an old sweat!

Turning towards Serena he could see her looking back at him with a slight pout on Her face

"It seems you have some good senses at least those won't hold you back when learning my dagger techniques," said Serena

Hearing this Lucius was left speechless!

"Damn! Even if I'm Learning from you, is there a need to make your attacks so lethal!"

Hearing this, Serena just shook her head.

"My previous teacher just said that you could only learn quickly if you truly feared for your life."

As soon as those words left her mouth, Lucius's face quickly collapsed
