Chapter 84: Sixth Level
Chapter 84: Sixth Level
As Ayaan moved towards the gate, he realised that the strange energy again started to fill his whole body. But this time, it was different from before. Previously, the energy helped him, though, it wasn't as powerful as this time.
When Ayaan looked at the energy inside his body, he was shocked. At this moment, the energy was shining unusually. Furthermore, the colour of the light was changing continuously. Looking at the light, Ayaan suddenly remembered the egg-like stone.
The stone was also producing the same kind of colour changing effect. But he never saw the stone in his life before. So why did this kind of energy appear inside my body?
"Wait a minute!" Suddenly, he remembered something and a shocked expression appeared on his face, "Wasn't the part of the system looking like a stone? However, it had only one like unlike the energy inside my body or the energy the egg stone produced."
Though he wasn't certain that the system was actually the stone. Previously, he saw inside the video that people were covering the stone but he didn't know what they were doing; however, at this time, he realised something, "They were trying to gain the approval of the stone because that stone was the key, to control the elementless pagoda!"
When Ayaan reached this point, he became incredibly excited. If his theory was correct then the system must be that stone. That's why he was able to enter inside the pagoda this easily without the required talent and could bring even more people with him.
However, he was also nervous. He didn't have the full system; he only had two parts and he didn't know how many parts were scattered in this world. Therefore, he didn't know if the tower will recognise him as its owner. But until now, everything was working in his favour.
Nonetheless, when the energy-filled his body the golden gate trembled a little and opened slowly.
"Creak~"
The creaking sound was produced from the gate. It looked as if the door was opened after hundreds of years. Just as the gate opened, however, the golden light fell on the eyes of the group. Everyone closed their eyes. Simultaneously, they felt as if their body was reborn. Every cell inside their body started to devour the golden light like a hungry beggar.
After about half an hour later, the golden light started to dim and gradually completely faded. Ayaan felt that every cell was filled with energy and could sunder the mountain with a single punch. Though it was just an illusion, he was able to tell that his body was stronger than before.
Afterwards, he looked towards the ladies and a stunned expression appeared on his face. He couldn't believe his eyes. Except him, everyone had lost every drop of their magic energy. He couldn't sense any energy from any of them.
'What happened?" he looked worriedly at them. He tried to probe their bodies with his spell but he couldn't. Previously, he could easily read the states of the three ladies but at this moment he failed. He didn't know what happened but he knew that the golden light was responsible for everything.
"I think I lost every ounce of my magic energy. There isn't even a drop left inside my body." Rebecca replied with a sad and confused expression. She had worked so hard to reach again to the great mage but she once more lost her strength. Heaven was really unfair to her.
Ayaan also felt sad when he looked at her terrible expression but this wasn't time to be emotional. He looked at the other two ladies.
"I also don't have any magic energy inside my body." Both Noor and Isobel told Ayaan the same thing.
Thinking about sometimes, Ayaan spoke, "Check once more the condition of your bodies. Try to find if there is anything strange inside your bodies."
After losing the magic energy no one was calm to think straight. So when they heard Ayaan, all of them started to check the condition inside their bodies. After half a minute later, they looked at Ayaan. Rebecca said, "There is a golden energy inside my body but it doesn't look like any elemental energy I have seen before."
Afterwards, Noor and Isobel said the same thing. He looked at them and didn't know if they were fortunate or unfortunate. Because most of the time, misfortune could become fortune and fortune could become misfortune this place was every strange, anything was possible. He didn't know if the golden light was good or bad.
Though, he was confused. He could feel that the golden light was present inside his body as well. But it didn't do anything other than roaming inside his body. His magic energy was still present inside his body. And he could use any spell-like usual.
Why didn't he lose his magic energy? He didn't know. Maybe it was because of the system. He didn't have a better answer than the system.
Nevertheless, when he didn't find anything, he sighed and turned towards the gate again before saying, "Let's go. Maybe we will find every answer inside the sixth level."
Everyone looked at the door which was already opened. But no one was able to see anything beyond the gate. Not even Ayaan.
The party looked at each other and walked inside the gate. Ayaan was still covering the ladies with his energy. Furthermore, the strange energy didn't retreat inside his consciousness. It was still roaming inside his body with the golden light.
Just when they entered the gate an intense light landed on their eyes, making them almost blind for some time. However, when they opened their eyes, they found themselves inside a room. The room was completely white there was nothing in the room, except in the centre was the altar and on the altar was the image of the pagoda flying continuously.
The group looked at the pagoda. They were able to tell that it wasn't a solid but rather illusory image of the pagoda. In the group, Ayaan was the most affected by the pagoda. Because he knew this pagoda.
It was none other than the Elementless pagoda he had seen before. But he could tell that it wasn't the original pagoda but just a copy. It was simply the 3-D image of the pagoda.
Though Ayaan didn't think that it was that simple. There was nothing on the sixth floor except the pagoda this thing could be anything but ordinary.
However, after looking at the Pagoda's 3-D image for some time, Ayaan didn't find anything special. He hesitated a little but eventually walked towards the altar.
"Is it safe to go there?" Noor asked worriedly.
"I think we should think about something else. I don't think it's safe to go there. That illusory image might be dangerous." Rebecca said.
"Yes, it doesn't look safe. The simple golden light from the sixth level destroyed our magic energy. Who knows what will happen if you were to step on the altar." Isobel sounded anxious. She didn't want Ayaan to go on the altar and risk his life.
"Don't worry, nothing will happen to me. Moreover, we don't know how to exit this level and enter the seventh level." Ayaan said while looking at the pagoda.
"Alright, but be careful. If you realise that something is wrong with the altar, just retreat." Rebecca said. She knew Ayaan wouldn't do anything reckless without any reason. If he wanted to try this method, then there must be the reason behind it as well. However, the worry was still present in her voice.
"Alright. But be careful," both sisters sighed when they hear Rebecca agreed to Ayaan. They didn't want to drag Ayaan just because of their emotions; therefore, they agreed after thinking some more.
Afterwards, Ayaan didn't wait and walked towards the altar. The altar was made of the white stones like the entire room. From a few meters away, no one could tell the difference between the stone of the altar and the stone of the room. However, as Ayaan neared the altar, he realised that the altar was a little different.
The pagoda wasn't the only thing present on the altar. As he walked, he discovered that the place was covered in the white fog. Only then Ayaan realised that it was the white fog he saw from a few meters away which was looking exactly like the white marble but it wasn't.
Nonetheless, he didn't stop after discovering the fog on the altar and finally, he reached the edge of the altar. He looked at the pagoda which was hanging in the air. He didn't know why it was there. Though he knew that he had to get this pagoda if he wanted to cross the sixth level.
"Bang!"
Finally, Ayaan walked over the altar and the whole place started to tremble. At last, the bang resounded and the fog which was at the level of his feet covered the entire altar. The pagoda also trembled and flew towards Ayaan and disappeared in between his eyebrows.
