Chapter 156 The True Tale Of The Hobgoblins?
[...]
Hisha shook his head, realizing he was asking something out of his jurisdiction. 'Never mind, I will get that 70% recovery you need to unlock that feature.'
Rolling his eyes, he got to his feet and watched all the damage he had caused. 'I did all this?'
[That's right, host. Dangerous host on the loose]
A small smile tugged at his cheeks as he made a wave of his hand.
[Ability: Time relapse]
[300 Sux exhausted]
Watching as all the damage he had created returned to its original state, he nodded his head in slight pride.
[How did you know you could use this ability?]
Folding his hands, he shook his head. 'Don't underestimate me, HTC.'
Hisha had a wicked grin, finally letting off his doubts and worries off his chest, he couldn't care less how much Sux he had wasted to have the majority of the things he had destroyed get fixed.
[You've grown than the wimp and idiot of months ago]
'I will take that as a compliment. I have to adapt if I want to survive.' Hisha gave a half-shrug.
[It is a compliment]
HTC affirms with a smirk emoji.
Rubbing his hands together, Hisha requests his character status.
__________
[Name: Lord Hisha]
[Level: 1007]
[Height: 185cm]
[Position: Supreme Overlord]
[Ability: Replicate]
[Sux: 200/1000]
[Meretrix: 3]
[Points: 76000]
[Exp:13]
[Total number of your harem: 6211]
__________
Sigh!
Hisha stares at the Sux that had been depleted, it was lower than he had expected.
[You also know you did bad to your Sux, right, host?]
Rolling his eyes and refusing to come clean to his actions, Hisha scoffs, contemplating the rest of the stats he needs to look up.
'The faster I can overcome this, the better I am at beating that return.'
He could feel that his lustful stats could play a role in his body being taken over by the previous host.
[What are you thinking, host?]
'I'm doubtful about the previous host's relationship with Dalsa. It looked like something more happened between them.'
[That's a possibility]
'If I do find and see her clearly instead of all the blurry shit going on, this body might be inclined to get intimate.'
Hisha pulls on his flesh, shaking his head. 'That lustful dickhead!'
[You are the lustful dickhead now, host]
HTC deadpans with a blank lips emoji.
'I want to scale the mark set for me before I get to fully engage in searching for more clues about Dalsa.'
He looked slightly disappointed that even with the mental stamp he had gotten while in Mertac.
Pinching the bridge of his nose, he shook his head in disappointment. 'There's not a person who has seen Dalsa.'
[That is because you keep turning it off!!!]
Facepalming at the reminder, Hisha looked anywhere but the user interface. 'My Sux and points were at stake at the time.'
[Fun fact: You have enough of those to keep it running for weeks as long as you try to rejuvenate the tournament]
'Activate mental stamp, I might as well just see its effectiveness.'
Ding!
[Mental stamp reactivated]
[Usage: For each successful target comes a deduction of 1000 points and ⅒ of your Sux]
Shaking his head, Hisha could already see his Sux disappear before his eyes once it started. 'As much as it is fun, I know I'd be ripped off.'
[You can't be ripped off by what is already set by my calculations]
'Same thing.' Hisha deadpans with a stoic face.
Getting bored, he requests his lustful stats.
__________
[Lustful experience: 37/20000]
[Fetish: 7/20]
__________
'Fetish, I can work with that for better results.' Hisha comments with a grin of satisfaction.
'Memory recovery, I have a clear idea of its percentage.' Hisha raised his chin, pleased with his knowledge of that at the least.
[That would be?]
'20/100%.' Hisha replies with an air of confidence.
Numerous clapping emoji scroll past the user interface.
There was one that he really needed knowledge on. 'How many points do I need to gain my immunity?'
[What are you thinking, host?]
'Answer my question first before I reply to yours.'
___________
[Charm points: 5/690]
___________
Cough!
Cough!
'What the fuck is that?' He spat in disdain at the number of points needed.
[Your charm point stats]
Narrowing his eyes at the user interface, 'you did this on purpose, didn't you? How the heck do I get 690 points?'
[Quit whining, host. It was never said it would be that straightforward]
'Give me a plausible reason why it's freaking 690!'
[Don't you think you exude charisma? This doesn't include just your harem but others as well]
Hisha let out a sigh, shaking his head in disappointment. 'I don't know if I should be happy about this or not.'
[Look, on the bright side, you have more ways of gaining charm points]
'Very calming, thank you.' Hisha snaps.
Walking over to the bed, he laid back, pulling the book onto his chest.
A slight tremble of the book had him sit up. "It moves."
The outlines of the book glow with it shaking violently.
Pllllllllllp!
Several pages flip over till it comes to an abrupt stop in the middle.
A soft chime sound could be heard as little blue sparkles converge to form a face that resembled a hobgoblin.
Staring at the face for some while, Hisha frowns at the abrupt pause.
'What the hell is this?'
[You have to wait, host]
'Haven't I waited long enough?'
Lord Hisha, it is a pleasure to meet with you
Having a double take on the face smiling at him, he took a deep breath and maintained his grip on the fore-edge.
'Who is this hobgoblin?' He questions HTC, hoping to get some lead on it without seemingly looking clueless.
My name is Grut, I was one of the first evolved species of goblins
Letting out a smile, Hisha nods his head to the introduction, but his face changes once he processes the information.
"If you say you're one of the first evolved species of the goblins, how did you know my name?"
The book bonds and accumulates all the information gotten from the series of actions our new host provides with the given energy
'HTC, by information, it means...?'
[All factual data about you, basically your character status and the collection of what had happened while the previous host and you had done in battle]
We have seen the damage our race has caused to the land and would want to help in redeeming ourselves in exchange for letting my people return to the sealed dimension
"Why did you lay a siege to the goblins?"
The face furrowed its brows at the question, visibly disturbed by the choice of topic from Hisha.
We had to eliminate the threat that caused us desolation to our ingenuity
Sensing Hisha couldn't quite comprehend what was being related. The face dispersed into bits of sparkles once again.
The pages turned to a blank sheet.
Watching the sparkles converge into a visible picture that showed the times in Asrinth during the time ruled by the chief–Aster's father.
We evolved during the construction of the windmills in Asrinth. But with that, came a price
Impatient and needing answers, Hisha was quick to blurt out, "what price."
Instead of telling, Hisha watched sparkles harmonize to form moving pictures that showed the oppressions the hobgoblins endured under the command of the goblins.
A sad smile tugged at his lips as he watched, reminiscing on the times he had missed the calming effects of watching the television.
The more he viewed the shocking revelation of the hobgoblins' reason for their actions.
The sicker he felt for acting on the programmed information that had been planted deep in the hearts of the Minotaurs and the ancient history books from which HTC had made its conclusion.
[Cross examining....]
HTC was quick to check all possible records at its disposal which could affirm the claim.
Ding!
A blurry drawing on a scroll partly describing what had been seen and several runic writings in one of the manuscripts popped up.
[Updating....]
[I apologize for the misinformation, host]
'It's fine, we all make mistakes once in a while. The goblins hid the truth, even from the Minotaurs.
With our innovative ideas misused, our people were forced to rebel. In an act of retaliation, our anger blazed at the windmills which was a grim reminder of the hardships we endured to the advantage of the goblins taking all of the credit
Hisha nodded his head, rubbing his chin as he processed the information.
"Why would you want your people back in the seal?"
As a payment for the distortion in the balance of the Land of Kurg. Our existence has caused nothing but misery to others, to atone for it, it's best to return before the seal is permanently damaged
Seeing so much potential that could come with having a horde under his command, he counters. "What if I can convince them to join me?"
Grut raised a brow to the question, contemplating the offer.
