Chapter 28 God’s Cherry Poppin’ Award
"I… I'm glad that wasn't for me anymore." Lindy commented as she reviewed the carnage [Sir Lance a LOT!] caused.
"Heh. Lacking resolve as aways." Caitlyn scoffed.
"Hey! Rude, much. Are you telling me you'd let Leon pound you with that thing?" Lindy scoffed back.
"Way to prove my point." Caitlyn replied with a smug expression. "If Leon wants to use that on me, there are only two relevant questions. When, and do you want to tie me up first."
The young brunette's eyes widened in shock.
"That's resolve." Caitlyn smirked, "As you're now aware, Leon's power can't give you that. It creates a bond that makes him feel comfortable and have emotions for you. It also makes you more appealing, but that's it. It can't make him love you."
Lindy stared at her dumbly. Now that she was free from her withdrawals, she realized that, aside from feeling like Leon was her lover, she didn't feel obsessive. Instead, she felt bad!
She became more aware of her negative insecurities, and their effect multiplied. It was the opposite of what she wanted! Now it was worse.
Worse, she had a horrifying realization. Caitlyn really wasn't being manipulated by his power. That was the worst-case scenario for her!
Lindy was desperately hoping Leon's power would turn her into Caitlyn!
Was Lindy jealous of her? Hard yes! Was she jealous about Caitlyn's looks, relationship with Leon, intelligence, or power? No! She was jealous of Caitlyn's crazy!
Lindy would gladly become Leon's sex kitten to enjoy that disturbing level of happiness and contentment! Well, she'd gladly accept that role anyway, but she was a raging sex addict... but that wasn't the point!
She would do anything to go completely mental and have a good life simultaneously! That's what she wanted from the start.
"Hey, Leon. Is there anyway you can crank up the manipula—"
"I'm glad you two are talking. It shows you guys got some type of bonding perk from that spectacular experience you showed me." Leon interjected hastily.
"Bonding perk from sex…." Lindy muttered in a blissful haze.
Lindy was cut off from asking whether he could crank up the slave juice on his power, which frustrated her greatly. But he inadvertently gave her hope. She was thrilled!
Wait! When did she get so honest with herself? Lie to yourself, Lindy! What's wrong with you!?
"Lindy, focus! I'm glad you two earned a bonding stat, and are talking, but please explore your friendship later," Leon cried, "the beasts are moving in to attack, and you're not wearing your leggings!"
Lindy looked down to find that she wasn't wearing anything on her glistening lower bottom. Then she looked forward gain to find 120 beasts staring at her.
Her situational awareness really was the worst! She really needed to work on that. Otherwise, she'd never live the delusionally happy life with Leon she craved.
Wait! Why was she being so honest with herself again?
"KYYYYYAAAAHHHHHHHH!"
"CAAAAAWWWW!"
"GYARRRRRRRRRAAAAH!"
"KEEEYYYAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHKKK!"
"GOOOOOOOOOOORRRRN!"
"RHHHAAAAAAAAHRRR!"
"MAH ZATATATA! MAH!"
"SSiSSSSSSS!"
"SQUUUUEEEEE! SQUEEEEEEEE!"
The battle cries from the Ragnarok welcome committee forced her back into reality.
"Ahhhhhhh! Where are they!?" Lindy screamed.
"They're on the floor. We'll cover!" Leon yelled.
"R-Right!" She yelled as she grabbed her leggings.
"Caitlyn, can you fight!?" Leon yelled over the sound of charging creatures.
"Yes! But at less than 50% capacity!"
"Okay! Then we'll just have to make a demonstration!" Leon yelled.
"Demonstrate—"
Leon didn't have time for a discussion. He ran into the clearing, jumped fifteen feet in the air, and crashed down with a massive, vertical strike to the earth.
BOOOOOOOOOOM!
"KEEEYYY—"
"RHHHAA—"
"MAH ZA—"
The earth broke apart in a ten-foot-deep crevasse as a fifty-foot crack spread through the earth, crushing a dozen land-borne creatures.
Blood sprayed everywhere, leaving all the land creatures shocked.
"Shit, we need a demonstration for the winged creatures." Leon muttered.
He turned back to Caitlyn.
"Caitlyn! Throw down a Light Pillar into the center of the flying creatures!" He ordered, "We don't need damage; we need a demonstration!"
"I don't know if I have enough mana!" Caitlyn cried in shame.
"Just do it! You leveled up for pleasing me, so you should have gotten enough from your time with Lindy!"
Caitlyn smiled and then turned to the flying creatures flying at them.
They were only five meters from Leon.
"Light Pillar!" She screamed with wrath in her voice.
Leon, Caitlyn, Lindy, and Sarah fell silent as a blinding, cylindrical light beam came down from the heavens.
It looked biblical or sci-fi, depending on one's interpretation. However! The part that horrified every human and creature in the area was its impact.
Since it was only level 1, adjusted to Caitlyn's experience, as she had never used it, it only covered a three-meter radius.
While the approximately ten-foot radius was huge by Earthian standards, it looked small compared to the twenty-foot super creatures above them. Despite that! The pillar of light skewered four instantly. More dramatically, there was [nothing] in the center of those creatures.
The light drilled perfect circles that would make Leonardo da Vinci blush into the creatures and cauterized the wounds shut. (1)
All four creatures fell to earth and stacked like a ring toss game atop one another!
"W-Wh-What the f-fuck was that!?" Lindy cried in shocked-perplexion.
Leon had a different reaction. He stared at the scene like a little kid that saw the new video game he wanted waiting for him when he got home.
"Nice!"
He turned back to Caitlyn with a [I'm impressed] glance that sent shivers down her spine.
She turned bashful instantly, but he didn't let her recover.
"Good work! Now we need to hurry!" Leon yelled as he ran back into the open room.
"We need to get inside where the big ones have difficulty entering!"
Caitlyn instantaneously complied, and Lindy did as well, leaving Sarah perplexed.
The two ran past the young woman without noticing her and booked it into the main food warehouse.
Sarah stared into the warehouse blankly.
Lindy picked up her leggings but didn't put them on because she couldn't find her panties, which must have vanished into thin air...
As a result, when she ran into the main floor of the building, she was half naked!
She was the only one who noticed. Lindy was one thing, but how didn't Leon notice? That left her even more confused as he chased in [after] her. However, when she entered the main room, she immediately understood why.
"Fuck, me." Leon laughed with a twinge of insanity in his eyes.
"Grrrrr GHAT!"
"GHAT GHAT!"
"Grrrrrr GHHHHAT!
"GHAT!"
Around fifty Hellhounds were prowling through the market floor, chewing on the hundreds of dead bodies.
"Hah! It looks like Carrot Cock called his bitches and promised they'd get some meat." Lindy laughed in disbelief, "I can't believe he satisfied something…."
The canines charged immediately.
"GHATghatGhatGHATghatGhatGHATghatGhatGHAT!!"
"... and fucked us too." Lindy added sardonically.
"Fucked [us]?" Caitlyn scoffed, "They're just some bitches—"
A canine jumped at Leon, who was gearing up for a home run, but exploded before it left the ground.
Lindy's eyes widened in shock. She was at a high enough level to barely see Caitlyn in action and finally understood how powerful she was.
Suddenly Lindy felt something slimy in her hand. She looked down and saw the canine's heart and Caitlyn glaring at her coldly.
"—and while I'll fuck some bitches, bitches don't fuck my man." Caitlyn declared with a vicious gaze.
Lindy shivered. She looked up to meet Caitlyn's gaze but saw something instead.
A one-sided massacre. Even Leon, who knew how exhausted Caitlyn was, couldn't believe what he saw.
"Does… she really feel the need to grab its neck and thighs to rip in half as gruesomely as possible?" Leon asked in amazement.
"Did she just threaten me?" Lindy whispered to herself.
"Is Caitlyn really….." Leon chuckled in bewilderment.

Leon chuckled at the notification he had just received. He had the time to watch for obvious reasons.
"I think she just threatened me…." Lindy muttered in disbelief.
"Hey, Caitlyn! It's okay to rip all their limbs off so they can watch you kill their young!" Leon yelled.
"But don't bend their spine, so they have to watch while sitting like a human while you do it!
That's just… weird and uncomfortable looking…."
"Okay!" Caitlyn yelled cheerily while glancing at Lindy.
"No…. she's still threatening me, isn't she?" Lindy chuckled in disbelief.
"Yeah, she's threatening you." Leon confirmed in a serious voice, "The question is, are you going to take that?"
Suddenly Leon got a truly manipulative, ultra-dastardly, and completely consensual idea.
He turned to Lindy with the most charming and fantastically cunning face. She knew he was about to play with her emotions when she saw it.
Regardless of what he was about to do, she knew one thing for certain. She was about it.
