Chapter 24
C24 – Capital University
The young man was sent flying and landed next to Pei Liang.
“You’re all family, so you might as well lie down together!” Qi Ning said, his face twisted in a mocking grin.
He swung his fists, engaging in a relentless brawl with Pei Liang’s crew.
In under five minutes, Pei Liang’s men were all sprawled on the ground, utterly defeated.
The trio from Class 6 stood there, utterly flabbergasted.
As Qi Ning approached them, the student with the last name Zhang turned on his heel, ready to bolt.
Qi Ning wasn’t just quick to react; his speed was exceptional.
In the blink of an eye, as Zhang turned to run, Qi Ning was already behind him. He whispered in his ear, “Decided on a new last name yet?”
Zhang let out a yell and collapsed.
“What’s that smell?” Qi Ning wrinkled his nose, glancing down at Zhang’s crotch to see a dark wet patch on his pants.
“If you can’t back up your words, don’t bother bragging,” Qi Ning said with a frown.
He then shifted his attention to the other two.
They knelt neatly before Qi Ning.
“We were wrong,” they said together.
“That doesn’t seem like a proper apology, does it?” Qi Ning observed them with a hint of amusement.
Realizing their mistake, the two went pale and began slapping their own faces.
As Qi Ning and Pang Yuejuan left the grove, the sound of slaps still echoed behind them.
“You’re incredible,” Pang Yuejuan said, looking at Qi Ning with eyes full of admiration.
Seeing her gaze, Qi Ning thought to himself, “Oh no, she couldn’t possibly have a crush on me, could she?”
“It’s no big deal,” Qi Ning replied humbly.
“Oh, by the way,” Pang Yuejuan bounced alongside Qi Ning, her voice cheerful. “Which university are you planning to apply to?”
She gazed at him, full of anticipation.
Without hesitation, Qi Ning responded, “Capital University, of course.”
“Really?” Pang Yuejuan seemed skeptical.
Qi Ning nodded affirmatively, “Absolutely! It’s the dream school for everyone!”
China boasts five of the most prestigious institutions of higher learning.
These elite universities rank among the finest in the entire world.
Among these five prestigious institutions, Capital University stands out as a leader.
Capital University is the dream of every high school senior.
“Last year, their admission scores were intimidatingly high. Will they be just as steep this year?”
The admission threshold for Capital University has consistently been high.
“To be honest,” Pang Yuejuan said with a somber look, “even if we do manage to get into Capital University, could we even afford it?”
Qi Ning was briefly taken aback but quickly grasped the gravity of Pang Yuejuan’s concern.
The tuition fees at Capital University were beyond the reach of the average family.
However, for a student with exceptional merit, the situation could be quite different.
“Don’t worry,” Qi Ning reassured her with a smile, gently ruffling Pang Yuejuan’s hair. “With your talents, they’re sure to offer you a range of scholarships and financial aid!”
In that moment, Pang Yuejuan caught a glimpse of a spark in Qi Ning’s eyes, a brilliance she had never seen before.
