Greetings, Mister Principal

Chapter 64: Quiet Night

Chapter 64: Quiet Night

Led by Reiner, Claire made the manager of the Silver Rose restaurant carefully reconsider for the first time whether the hotel providing three meals for free was an unwise decision.

When mountains of roasted meat and chicken were served, all kinds of exotic drinks were poured down like water, Reiner had no choice but to shrug his shoulders and sit on the opposite side of the table, swirling the glass of red wine.

Claire's gluttonous appetite also attracted the attention of several mages, they did not ask much out of politeness, but only showed their surprise for Claire.

"Uh, are you sure that everything here is free?"

Claire wiped her mouth with a napkin, looked at the mages who were eating simple food on both sides, and whispered to Reiner to confirm.

"Yes, you don't have to worry."

Reiner sipped a sip of red wine. Claire felt very relieved by his words and ordered three more plates of fried steak.

The dinner lasted for two hours, and when Claire finally ate her fill, plates as high as a hill were already stacked on the table.

"Thank you."

Claire drank the light green exotic drink in her glass in one gulp, and then said to the waiter who came to collect the empty plates, which made the other person tremble.

"Don't worry, she won't eat people."

Reiner quipped, causing Claire to roll her eyes and then speak.

"Your dishes are delicious, can you give my compliment to the chef."

The waiter could only nod his head and carefully collected the empty plates as if sitting in front of him was a tyrannous king.

Reiner tipped the waiter, then got up and left the restaurant with Claire.

But when the two returned to the hotel lobby, they discovered a serious problem, that was, Claire had no room.

"Sorry, our hotel room is full."

The lobby manager explained with a friendly smile.

"This is going to be a problem."

Touched his chin, Reiner thought.

They wouldn't take the airship back to Torrendo until tomorrow, so they had to find a place to stay tonight.

"Aren't the two a couple? It should be fine to share a room, right?"

The lobby manager added, making the two of them stunned immediately.

Reiner didn't take this into consideration. His suite was very luxurious, and it was not a problem for two people to live in it.

As for Claire, she lowered her head, fiddling with the corner of her clothes, feeling embarrassed to say anything. The corner of her eye glanced at Reiner next to her, and she said in a small muttering voice.

"...we are not a couple."

"You are right, I think we can only do it this way."

Reiner nodded, then thanked the lobby manager, and took Claire to his room on the seventh floor.

"Wow, this room is so big."

When Claire, who had been nervous, saw Reiner's luxurious suite, all her nervousness disappeared immediately. She walked into the room and stepped on the soft carpet, excited like a puppy seeing a bone. Reiner almost saw the vision of her wagging her tail.

"Ahem, this is one of the most luxurious suites."

Reiner cleared his throat. He came to the window of the living room, opened the curtains, and the whole Lake Wagner was in view, making Claire approach in amazement.

The Lake Wagner in the night was reflecting the dim shimmering light, contrasting finely with the stars in the sky. The faint mist lingering on the lake, showing a bit of illusory beauty.

"Is this Lake Wagner? I have only heard of it before, but I didn't expect it to be so beautiful."

Claire's eyes were shining, clinging to the window. Her soft body touched Reiner's forearm from time to time.

"Claire, give me your hand."

Reiner stood at the window, looking at Lake Wagner outside, and said suddenly.

"Ugh? Wh, why? I'm not ready yet..."

The plot in the novels she read in the past flashed through her mind quickly, and Claire took two steps back, looking nervous.

"Stretch out your hand, I will transfer some magic energy to you."

Speaking in a slightly tough tone, Reiner's words made Claire unable to refuse.

Although most of the so-called magic energy transferring techniques in the novels she had read before were accompanied by some indescribable behaviors that would make her face flush and heart beat faster, she was startled by Reiner's attitude. But Claire still slowly extended her left hand.

Then, Reiner also stretched out his right hand. When the two hands touched together, a cool force immediately flowed from Reiner's fingers to Claire's palm.

This force was like clear spring water, calming Claire's thoughts gradually, nourishing her body, and repairing the damaged soul.

"What is this?"

It was not a simple matter to transmit magic energy. Because the magic energy of every mage had obvious characteristics. Once encountering the flow of external magic energy rejection reaction was easy to occur, but it was obvious that the magic energy flowing into Claire's hands by Reiner at this time would not cause a rejection reaction.

"It's one of the abilities of this thing."

Reiner turned his palm, and between his fingers, a dark gold ring gleamed in the moonlight.

"What is it?"

Claire had never heard of such an item that could transmit magic energy directly, and her face was full of confusion.

"It is said to be called the Hohenheim Golden Cup."

With a mysterious smile, Reiner said.

"Oh, it is the Hohenheim Golden Cup, no wonder... Uh, wait, the Hohenheim Golden Cup?"

Wasn't this that great award? Why was it in Reiner's hands!

It took Claire several seconds to finally realize what happened. She looked at Reiner in disbelief.

"You, you, you, you are the young man who won the award! "

"Yes, what a coincidence."

Reiner had a mischievous smile on his face, which made Claire a little embarrassed and wanted to escape, but the magic energy coming from Reiner's palm made Claire reluctant to let go of his hand.

She was not completely all right. The side effect of casting magic at higher levels was very severe. In fact, the reason why she ate so much was to recover the lost magic energy.

"So, you won the Hohenheim Golden Cup by relying on that paper?"

Once again, Claire felt that the principal in front of her was a little different.

"That's right. I also promoted Luna Nova Cola to the mercury balance."

Reiner said lightly.

Could it be possible that this person would really save Luna Nova Magical Academy?

After thinking about it, Claire realized that her cheeks were a little hot. Being in contact with the male body for too long made the young girl feel embarrassed. She no longer had time to think about the magic energy that Reiner was constantly transferring into her body, and withdrew her hand hurriedly.

"I, I'm going to take a bath."

Watching Claire running into the bathroom, Reiner shrugged and smiled. He made the bed, took a blanket, and lay on the couch in the living room.

When Claire, who had put on her own pajamas, came out, the principal, who was exhausted, was already asleep, breathing slightly, and seemed to have a sweet dream.

Claire didn't wake Reiner. She tiptoed to the bedroom and got into the bed.

But the whole bed was filled with Reiner's scent, which made the girl toss and turn, unable to fall asleep
