Chapter 97: Chapter 97 – I am Not a Coward!
This was it. The chat that he liked to argue with. He somehow felt at ease that they didn't even change at all with the new viewers coming in.
"Anyway, we will have a guest later. But before that, let's find some loot and add a fence to boost the shelter defense."
Max began to walk away from his shelter after announcing his goal. Meanwhile, the chat began to mock him.
— A guest?
— This guy has a guest?!
— Meh, it's probably Flexy.
— Yeah, he only knows Flexy, that other shameless guy. Breezy pairs last forever!
— Breezy!!
"Nah, it's not Flexy. Also, don't pair me with that guy; it's disgusting!"
Max sighed as he looked at the camera. Why would they pair him with another guy? He was a normal man who liked girls!
But they were viewers who typed in the stream chat. It was common knowledge that they were either crazy or weird or both.
Deciding to ignore the chat, he continued.
"It's a girl. And she asked me to teach her about this game."
— …
— Is there something wrong with my headset? I heard it's a girl
— Doubt. And teaching her? Hahaha, a newbie like you?
— MAMA!! Breeze is inviting a girl to his room!!
— Let him be, my boy. He's an adult. I doubt it's a real girl, though.
— Hehehe, is it that waitress? If so, then I dig in
— Are you sure she's a girl? You're not scammed, right?
"It's a real girl. And, no. It's not that waitress girl."
He sighed again as the chat didn't believe him.
"Look, I am not BloodSucker, alright? I won't get scammed easily."
— True.
— Make senses
— Why did you bring me up? Is it a bully? Are you bullying me?
"It's just your imagination."
In contrast to the game's eerie and dark air, the stream's atmosphere was fun as usual.

After walking in the other direction from where his spawn point was, Max entered the city area again and looked around. There were many buildings he could loot.
According to the guide he read in the forum, there were two types of buildings: low-tier loot area and high-tier loot area. Some high-tier loot areas had a chance to be heavy loot areas with more items than usual.
The former usually was a residence building, such as a house or apartment. They were not worth exploring.
The latter was something like the police station that Max visited in his first gameplay or other important buildings that seemingly had a storage or warehouse.
Unfortunately, this area was filled with normal houses, seemingly residence areas, so he walked toward the edge of the city. It took him around 5 minutes before he found a hospital.
The hospital wasn't necessarily big in his definition. It only had three floors and a large yard filled with scraps and debris. Vines covered the cracked wall, and none of the windows was intact.
"I hope I can find some guns or ammo inside. Well, considering it's a hospital, maybe some herbs and antidotes?"
— Abandoned hospital is full of herbs and antidotes. If you get Scraps from this building then… Well, you're lucky.
— Your luck must be immense! You are loved by Scraps!
— What is this about Scraps?
— ^^ Let me fill in the new viewers. In his first stream, Breeze managed to get more than 15 Scraps in a heavy loot area. I was amazed by his luck
— lololol, let's see what you get, world record holder for getting as many Scraps as possible. Lolololol
— Kekw
Max was also worried about it. If he got Scraps in this abandoned hospital, then his luck must be heavenly. He would need to confront that shady merchant once again, who scammed him once already.
"Well, let's check inside first."
Saying that, he took out his handgun from the backpack and held it in his left hand and a knife in his right hand.
Because there was enough light to see, he didn't take out the flashlight as it would just hinder him.
Unlike his first rodeo in the police station, he explored the lobby first with caution. He inspected any nook and cranny to find any loot but was unable to.
"It seems like this building isn't a heavy loot area. What a shame."
He was slightly disappointed with it, but the chat thought otherwise.
— What do you think the heavy loot area is? A market?
— It's called rare because it can't be found easily!
— Should I say it's as expected from Breeze?
Indeed, heavy loot area was rare. But was it wrong to expect every big building to be one?
"Haa… Let's inspect the hallway and all the rooms. There are a lot of glasses on the ground, so I need to be careful."
The beginner clothes offered close to no defense. Even the shoes were just a pair of sneakers and not actually combat boots that protected his feet.
Foolishly, a certain someone sold his gloves to a shady merchant and got scammed. Even now, he still regretted that decision.
Entering the main hallway, the area became slightly darker, but it was still bright enough to see without a flashlight. Max walked carefully, avoiding the mushrooms, pieces of glass, and the bulging flesh that seemed to grow from the ground.
It was glowing slightly, pulsating every second.
"There are Blobbies everywhere."
Based on what he read in the guide, the place with that kind of glowing flesh called Blobby on the ground had zombies in the past. Those Blobbies were formed from the dead zombies' flesh.
'It's strange calling it dead zombies, as it's an undead, but it is what it is.' He thought as he continued inside.
A few meters ahead, there was an open door. That would be Max's first destination to find some loot.
"Alright, guys. Do you think there is a zombie inside?" He asked the chat as he stopped a bit away from the door. "I just want you to know that I am not afraid of something like Rocket, Blobbies, or zombies. So don't expect me to scream when I open the door."
— Fear is irrelevant! Jumpscare knows no fear
— Even the bravest man got jumpscared in this game. Don't act tough, Breeze!
— I hope you get a heart attack from inside that door.
"Hahaha, no way."
With a confident step, Max opened the door with his shoulder, ready for a jumpscare. The door was pushed open with a creak, revealing a dark room.
The sunlight from the main entrance and the hallway chased away the darkness, allowing Max to see what was inside.
Peeking inside, he first saw a creature with a large head and eight legs right in front of him, which almost stopped his heart.
"FUUCCK!!"
Bam!
He immediately slammed the door shut without hesitation and breathed heavily.
"What the heck was that?!"
— Kekw
— 'I won't be surprised!'
— 'Jumpscare won't work on me!'
— 'I am not afraid of anything! Bla bla bla bla.'
— lol, he screamed like a little child. Nununu, don't cry. Daddy is here with you
— Child Breeze! Clipped! Hehehe
— [Infected Crawler is spotted!] lololol, that bastard is scary. Everyone, without any exception, would be surprised by that.
— That was nasty
