Chapter 235: Chapter 235 – Out of Control Protest

After clearing his fifth game, Max immediately left the Midnight Heist's Lobby and entered his own, sitting on the chair under the large tree while enjoying the soft breeze. He had deactivated the 5-minute delay but still had to wait until the viewers caught up with the real-time before he could talk to them.

Reading the chat and watching his fifth game in the meantime was fun. They were pretty confused about the discovery he didn't share regarding the tournament points.

'Figures. Unless they analyze my gameplay, they won't realize how these points were distributed.'

After a while, the chat caught up with the real-time streaming. They immediately typed everything they wanted to ask.

— Breeze! Explain it to us!

— You better tell us or we will pout!

— Dang! That's gross. I can't imagine a man pouting because he wasn't told how to earn points.

— Ugh, don't say that, dude. You just make me imagine it! SCREW YOU!

— Hehe, I just imagine Breeze pouting. That works. And now I can't help but giggle because he's so adorable! I am a girl btw

— Great, I almost imagined an old man giggling while he imagined pouting Breeze. The gross level just upped by one.

They were as rowdy as usual and kept demanding him to spill the secret. It wasn't fair that only he got to know it. Somehow, this rowdiness was something that he missed after not chatting with them for a while because of his practice and earlier tournament.

So, he decided to entertain them a little by having a little chat.

"Now, now. Where is the fun in that? I discovered this method by using my 3 chances, so I won't explain it until tomorrow. Even I want to advance to Day 2 Qualifier, you know?" He shrugged his shoulders and shook his head in defeat.

Naturally, he had no intention to expose his trick. It was an honest one that he found out after sacrificing his sanity in two out of three games. His patience was put to the test by his teammates.

"But, let me say this. The way to earn more points is more stupid than you thought or could have ever imagined. In the last 5 games, I felt like the last two games where I discovered the way to earn more points to be… torturing. Yes, that's the correct word. Torturing."

Even the 50 grand reward didn't seem to be worth it now. It was just so stupid. The rules and everything.

"I hope the management changes the rules for the day 2 qualifier. If it stays like this, then I would just play around without playing seriously." He said seriously, "I meant, look at my games. When I played around in the last 2 games, I got similar points combined than in the first 3 games. Isn't that strange?"

— He has a point

— Yeah, the management either needs to change the rule or clarify the method to acquire points.

— What we need is clarity and fairness

— Hey, guys. Did you see this? Many players are attacking Midnight Heist Strike's account right now. They are talking the same things as us!

— Breeze, you need to open Strike right now. Many people tagged you after you finished your fifth game. They are protesting in Midnight Heist Strike's account.

"Really?"

Reading the chat, Max raised his voice in surprise. That was fast. Around 4 hours had passed since the tournament started, seeing that it was now 1:46 PM. To think that many people had protested already… It showed how bad the management and rules of this event were.

"Let me check it."

A hologram screen with a virtual keyboard appeared after he flicked his finger. He opened Strike and found he had many unread notifications. They were all from people pinging him.

'Damn, I got caught in this without me noticing. I should make a post soon, or I would be in trouble and accused of cheating. Seeing how low they can be sometimes, I know those people can do that much.'

He decided to ignore that for now and visited Midnight Heist's account. It didn't take long to find the status his viewers were talking about. The latest post about the tournament was shared more than 50 thousand times, and there were more than a hundred thousand replies.

The replies, however, were filled with complaints and protests. Most of them were Tier 1 and Tier 2 players in the tournaments.

— What the heck is this?!

— [AttachedClip.mp4] Look at this gameplay. He lost the game but got more points than when he became MVP

└ Classic Breeze

└ I watched his stream. He was literally frustrated with his teammates and played around, finding a way to get those points

└ Unfortunately, he won't share the method. Stingy!

└ He's not stingy, stoopid! He made an effort to realize how to earn a lot of points. Just watch his stream and analyze his gameplay if you want to know the method to get points!

— This is madness! Tell us how you calculate the points. Why do I only get 47 when I am a f*cking MVP?!

— Admin, you better answer us, or we won't stop! This is so stupid! The rules and everything. Many trolls joined the tournament because you allowed everyone to join!

└ yeah, I got many trolls teammates

└ It's frustrating when you have your chance robbed from you by trolls

└ I made a list of trolls, here it is [AttachedImage.jpg]

— I am done! I won't join this stupid tournament.

— This is the biggest mistake Midnight Heist's management had ever made. Please fix!

On top of those comments, Max also found some that mentioned him.

— @Breeze, please do share your findings with us. Don't keep it to yourself!

— [AttachedClip.mp4] @Breeze has found how to earn high points.

└ He should share the method! How selfish

└ To think he keeps it to himself. Does he really want to advance to Day 2 that much?

└ He has no skill, that's why he keeps the method a secret to earn more points

└ Don't talk nonsense. You only watched this clip and not his first 3 games. Shut your trap, or I will throw an axe to your head!

└ Haters be haters. They only talk bad about @Breeze because they don't know him or his skill. He even competes in a pro competition in a few weeks. Just block those idiots.

└ lolol, no skill? He holds the Synchronization Test's world record. If @Breeze has no skill, then you have no legs!

It went out of control. There was no further reply from Midnight Heist's side.

For one, Max was happy many people stood up for him. On the other side, he felt a headache coming. Was it a mistake streaming his tournament? No, that wasn't a mistake. It was those people's fault for bringing his name up without his permission.

Furthermore…

— Unlike @Breeze, I will share my method to get 70-100 points. It's less than his method, but it will help a lot!

— [AttachedLink] Here is my video of @Breeze points method breakdown. Unlike him, I shall tell you anything!

— As a kind streamer, I will teach you how to get more points! Visit my profile. I am not as stingy as @Breeze

Many streamers and Punchtuber used his name to gain more views. Using other's names to gain more views was fair and all, as Max also used Flexy and StoneSword in the past.

But the way they used his name only gave him a bad image to those who had never heard of him. They called him stingy, selfish, and noob.

"Well, guys. I think I will end the stream right now. The protest is getting out of Midnight Heist's management control." He looked at the camera and closed the hologram screen.

The fact that even comments with curses weren't deleted just showed how the management handled things. They either were swamped with work, didn't care about the result, or were scolded by their superiors.

Anyway, the day 2 qualifier would definitely have a change in rule. Because if there wasn't any change, Midnight Heist could receive backlash from the players, which could lead to them leaving the games altogether.

No one liked a game with bad management.

Also, after he read those comments, he changed his mind.

"I will make a short video explaining what I know and upload it tonight. The rest is up to your own research, okay? What I did in the fourth and fifth matches was only a gamble; please remember that. This method doesn't guarantee getting a ton of points."

If they wanted to slander him by calling him stingy and selfish, he just needed to prove that he wasn't the individual the rumors tried to make him.

And just as he said earlier, this method didn't guarantee them getting a ton of points. It still depended on the players' skills and how they played the game.

'I don't want to share it, but I have no choice. I would rather risk it than receive a backlash from those haters and keep my reputation than a short-term benefit from this tournament. Still, I hope I can still advance to day 2 qualifier.' He thought. 'At least I hope this video will bring new people to my channel.'

— Really?

— Long live Breeze!

— You're the best. But are you sure about sharing it? You have sacrificed 3 games to find that method

— Don't listen to those haters. Feel free to share your method tomorrow or after the tournament. We just enjoy your playstyle.

— Yes, don't listen to them! Just be the usual Breeze

— At least make it a paid video. You can get money from it, hehehe $$$

"Nah, I will just upload it like usual." He responded. "Anyway, see you tomorrow. I hope I am still in the top 50 and advance to the day 2 qualifier, hahaha."

With a burst of laughter, Max ended the stream for the day.

[Livestream Ended!]
