Grandmaster Of All Job Class

Chapter 34 - Visitor

They were eating at their table while sipping the soup. A big slice of chicken meat was chewed by Joan. Enjoying its taste with drinking water and warm soup to fill his hungry stomach.

Joan helped washing the dishes with water and they soon rested in their rooms to call it a day.

The raindrops still poured outside and were tapping their wooden roofs when they crashed on the top. Coming from the sky to the ground.

Joan opened the window and stared outside where it was starting to get misty and foggy. Seeing that the temperature drop that fast made the fogs appear. Blocking the sight of their surroundings.

Joan can only wear his jacket and contemplated while staring outside. His hands were leaning on the windowside and his chin was at the top of his palm..

Breathing steam out of his mouth and producing fire element on his fingers. The floating fire was burning steadily and he can feel that he was improving.

Outside, puddles of water were waving as the raindrops hit them. Wild ducks were heard flying by and Joan felt excited as he heard their sound. He can't be mistaken by their sound.

It was something that the past Joan familiarized and knew very much.

After several minutes, he can hear footsteps from afar. Albeit foggy, he can still hear it.

Still, the raindrops were very loud but Joan concluded that it was certainly a person. He heard him called for them.

"Hello! Anybody home?" The man in robes called outside.

Immediately, his mother went to open the door.

"Who is he?" Anna asked politely to make the person comfortable.

"I am Isaias, a prophet of the God of Angels. Do you have a kid here? I am finding him. Don't worry, I bring no harm to you and your house. May I come in?" He said then stroke his mane.

"Yes yes, you may come in. Joan, you have someone here to talk to you." Anna said then closed the door.

The man went inside and hanged his wet robes.

"Who is it, mom?" Joan said then exited his room. Looking at the man in his brown dress.

The man has hair mixed with white and black. A long moustache that covers his mouth that extends to his chest.

"I am Isaias, a prophet of the God of Angels. I am here to anoint you as the God of Angels instructed me," he grabbed his pouch and removes the lid of the leather canteen.

"Oh, so that explains it. So you are sent from him? It was my pleasure to meet you. Isaias," Joan said to him then he bowed.

"Kneel with your left leg in the front and I will anoint you with this oil," he said then Joan heeded his instructions.

"I, as a prophet blesses you with the blessing of the God of Angel. May his mercy be upon you and guide you on your journey. You are Joan, the hero who will save this world from chaos. The anointed one!" Isaias said to him as he poured the oil to his head.

After that, Joan felt great gladness deep within his heart. It was like a burden was lifted from him and he knew that the God of Angels will watch over him.

Thinking of it, he felt not alone anymore and he will be with him wherever he goes.

"Now that I have fulfilled my duty, can I talk with your son? We will discuss something grave matters," Isaias said to his mother.

Immediately, Anna went to her room without saying a word. She picks up the intent of the prophet and only nodded in reply.

The prophet then sat at their chair and Joan too on the opposite side of the table.

"Let me be straightforward to you. Your village will be in great danger. As I can sense the entity of evil coming to this land. The eldest son of the Demon God will soon awaken and I can see it coming. Sooner or later, he will come to this land and create havoc. He is called the Lord of Affliction. Dullan was his name. Uttering his name was a great taboo in itself and brings bad tidings. His other brothers were sealed by the past heroes but many cultists are scattered in this kingdom and bring his revival to fruition. Many villagers are sacrificed and it weakened the seal. By the blood of innocence will the seal to weaken and to make him stronger," Isaias said to him.

"So we will meet them sooner or later. Who are the sons of the Demon God? I am intrigued," Joan asked him.

"The eldest is Dullan, the Lord of Affliction. The next son was Asgarath, the Lord of Deception. Next is Hegemon, the Lord of Despair. Next is Protos, the Lord of Sorrow. Next is Margoz, Lord of Corruption. And the youngest was Krell, the Lord of Chaos. These six are the sons of the Demon God and they can roam the world when they were set free from their cages. It will not for long when they will rise," Isaias said to him with a grave worried voice.

"I have to warn the citizens but how? Will they listen? And where will we go?" Joan said to him dumbstruck.

"That young one is what I don't know. The lord of Affliction will soon rise. And no one believed me till now. Perhaps you can still save your family by letting them get out of this place," Isaias said to him.

"I will try," Joan said to him.

"You want me to get out and leave this farm?" John said to him.

Joan jolted as he was overheard by his father.

"Yes, my dear John. The Lord of Affliction will rise again and attack this village. I foresaw it in the future!" Isaias said in a loud and clear voice.

"Huh? I don't believe you! You are crazy! No one can predict the future. And who is this Lord of Affliction? We have a harvest to do and have no time for silly dreams. At least I can pay the past debt this time and feed my family!" John said to him.

He grabbed the old man in his collar and kicked him outside.

"Don't believe that man, and I overheard your talking so don't ask me. Anna why did you let that crazy man inside?" John asked infuriated.

"But he said that he was sent from the God of Angels. What did he say again? Aha! A prophet!" Anna said to him.

"Dad, you shouldn't do that to my visitor. At least be kind to him," Joan said to his dad, holding his anger inside, clenching his fist.

"Joan, don't talk to me like that. And don't let any strangers inside my house, my house got it? Not yours," John said to him, pointing his finger at his self.

"Okay dad, I got to go outside, to have fresh air," Joan said to him then left with a cloak to cover himself.

Just outside, the old man was wiping off his dirtied clothes as the mud was on his chest.

The rain still poured on them and Joan was covering his head with a hood. He approached the man while he was still there.

"I am sorry for my father's behaviour. I hope you will forgive him." Joan said politely.

"Hmm, I forgave him. It was natural for me not to be believed but the God of Angels gave me the power to prove that I am indeed his messenger. You are wet in the rain now. I will stop the rain and let the sun rose again," He said to him then lifted his rod towards the sky.

Immediately, the rain stopped and the sun appeared. Shining the two of them with its radiance.

"That is called Miracle. It was different from Magic as magic is bending the natural laws. A miracle was a Godsent power that was given to his messengers. I will leave now, I hope you will remember my warning. We will meet again." Isaias said then he disappeared without a trace.

"I will remember it!" Joan shouted with all his might. Not seeing where Isaias has gone to.
