Chapter 3: The Birth of King Ghidorah! (2)

Area D1 complete.

Area D2 complete.

Area D3 complete.

Area D4 complete.

All areas have been blasted. 3, 2, 1.

Fire!

*Boom!*

On Venus, the thick metal door was blasted open amidst continuous explosions. The landscape that had been sealed for 450 million years was finally revealed to the outside world.

The door was opened, and nothing happened.

This was natural, as the door itself was not what sealed King Ghidorah.

It was just an ordinary door, and they werent foolish enough to blow it up without prior reconnaissance and investigation.

Humanitys exploration of Venus had spanned 80 years, and even the establishment of the permanent space station had been completed 20 years ago.

During this time, humans had already deciphered many secrets around the Maxwell Mountains, including a partial decryption of the Venusian language. The door that sealed King Ghidorah had been found more than two years ago.

In those two years, humanity first established a complete frontline base. They then set up an automated production line for unmanned exploration vehicles and provided various high-precision equipment needed for exploration on the Venusian surface.

Naturally, there were instruments for seismic and electromagnetic wave detection required for early-stage exploration. Humans had also long since detected what lay behind the door.

Hundreds of all-terrain exploration vehicles drove into the doorway, their cameras recording the scenery before them and transmitting it to the near-Earth space station orbiting Venus. This allowed the people on the space station to see the scene behind the door for the first time.

A subterranean super-cavity that exceeded all hollow spaces on Earth.

With a diameter of 22 kilometers and a height of 3.4 kilometers, it was located 2 kilometers beneath the surface of Venus.

All these measurements had been taken by humans before they entered. They had basically done everything they could before entering. They had even drilled holes into the door and sent small reconnaissance robots inside to observe.

Regarding King Ghidorah and its followers, known as the Wings of King Ghidorah by the Venusians, people were extremely wary. Blasting open the door was the final step after everything had been confirmed. Having this plan meant they had prepared everything beforehand.

Through cameras from various angles and massive searchlights behind them, people could see the location of their exploration vehicles. They were positioned on a high platform, overlooking their ultimate goal below.

King Ghidorah and its followers, the Wings of King Ghidorah, were down there.

King Ghidorah and at least 2828 Wings of King Ghidorah were sealed below, encased in solidified steel, with only a small portion exposed.

The sheer volume of molten metal used to seal King Ghidorah and its followers far exceeded all the metals ever smelted by humanity throughout history.

But even so, hundreds of wings and long necks extended from the steel ground, revealing their extraordinary forms to onlookers.

Like the heads of dragons and insects, they emerged from the steel ground, reaching a hundred meters in height. They were covered in what appeared to be a suit of golden armor, emitting a dim golden glow. Their bodies were covered in strange exoskeletons, even on their massive wings.

The Wings of King Ghidorah, just the co-existing lives of King Ghidorah, were no smaller in size than Godzilla on Earth.

With a wingspan exceeding 800 meters, a total length of nearly 500 meters, an estimated shoulder height of over 150 meters, and a neck that, if fully extended, could reach 300 meters. Even under normal conditions in simulations, they reached 220 meters in height.

A single Wing of King Ghidorah was probably more formidable than any Titan on Earth besides Godzilla.

And here, they had sealed thousands of them.

Humanity had identified over two thousand Wings of King Ghidorah on the outside, but the actual number sealed below was incalculable.

However, from the fact that so many Wings had not been completely sealed by the gathered metal, their numbers were likely astonishing.

The Wings of King Ghidorah sealed here were only a portion of them; the true leaders had been exterminated in the great battle 450 million years ago. These Wings of King Ghidorah were essentially beings that existed alongside King Ghidorah, meant to help seal the core King Ghidorah.

Yet, even these accompanying entities were a formidable presence to modern humanity.

Following the previously found inclines, the unmanned exploration vehicles drove down from the upper platform to the steel ground below in a systematic manner, moving in different directions in batches.

Prior to entering, humanity had already marked the sides of the Wings of King Ghidorah near the numerous terraced platforms. Now, each team was to sample according to their respective positions.

Just as planned.

The exploration vehicles of each team reached the sides of the assigned Wings of King Ghidorah. What lay ahead was completely unknown. The small exploration robots could only observe; they couldnt collect specimens from the Wings of King Ghidorah.

The larger exploration vehicles equipped with laser cutting devices were capable of doing just that.

By analyzing the detailed composition of the Wings of King Ghidorah, they could uncover the deepest secrets of these monsters capable of spanning the cosmos.

The laser cutting devices began to slice into the exposed edges and corners of the Wings of King Ghidorah. As expected, they were highly resistant to high temperatures, requiring some time to remove a piece.

During this time, the people in the control room of the unmanned exploration vehicles also relaxed slightly.

The Venusians were certainly grand builders. Otherwise, these structures wouldnt be this colossal.

So, these are King Ghidorah and its followers such a spectacular scene.

How do creatures like this even move?

Lets start with a complete measurement of the exposed parts, see how many there are. Do we need seismic measurements too?

Definitely. But can this really be considered sealed? There are so many exposed parts it feels like they might come to life in the next second.

Its been over four hundred million years; all living things should be dead.

Not necessarily. The oldest among the Titans have lived tens of millions of years. I think its entirely possible for the more powerful Wings of King Ghidorah to survive four hundred million years.

Laughter and banter filled the control room as they relaxed. Once they completed this step, they would obtain cells from these extraordinary monsters.

With that, humanitys knowledge of these super creatures would undoubtedly grow even further. Moreover, the Wings of King Ghidorah could traverse space; dissecting them would lead to a significant leap in humanitys space exploration capabilities!

And compared to the Wings of King Ghidorah, there was even a better research subject for them.

And thats King Ghidorah.

Click, its been cut.

The first piece of material was cut off and placed into a bag. Following suit, the other teams cut samples from different parts of the Wings of King Ghidorah. Now, all they needed to do was send the samples back to the front-line base and conduct a few more seismic tests. Then, they could truly begin the first phase.

The exploration vehicles with the samples headed back, while the others started installing seismometers and measuring the exposed Wings of King Ghidorahcounting their numbers, sizes, and other data. They were preparing for a comprehensive measurement of this steel ground.

A dozen minutes later, a total of 320 seismometers were activated in sequence, completely mapping the interior of the underground metal blocks. Finally, people could see the entirety of what lay beneath.

They saw the complete form of King Ghidorah.

This was King Ghidorah.

This was the unknown waiting for them to unravel.
