Godlike Player in a Game-Like World

Chapter 325 Level Up!

[Lv.10 Chitinous Tyrant (D-Rank) has been killed.]

[Your team gained 100 points.]

[You gained 20,000 experience points.]

[Bonus: You gained 3500 experiences.]

[Congratulations! At the conclusion of the match, you will receive your reward for killing the region boss.]

'Only 20,000? I thought it would be more,' Raydon pondered as he contemplated the number of experience points he had gained.

Even though he had acquired 20,000 experience points, he was aware that it was due to the body enchantment he possessed. He was aware that the true reward for killing the region boss was only 10,000 experience points.

The number of experience points he gained from defeating this region boss was exactly ten times greater than the amount he gained from defeating an E-Rank region boss. On the other hand, when it came to power, the Chitinous Tyrant unquestionably possessed more than ten times the power of an E-Rank region boss.

Furthermore, the bonus experience points he received accounted for exactly 35%. It appeared that his body enchantment had no influence on the bonus experience points he earned.

When Raydon took all of this into consideration, he came to the conclusion that the experience points he gained in relation to the power of the region boss were undoubtedly unfair.

However, for a brief moment, he was distracted from these thoughts as a translucent screen materialized in front of him and the system messages continued to reverberate in his ears.

[Level up!]

[Level up!]

[Level up!]

[Level up!]

[Level up!]

Raydon was stunned for a while by the messages he had received from the system, which were both familiar and unfamiliar to him.

Finally, in a quivering voice, he exclaimed, "Holy mother of experience god! Finally..."

Raydon had at long last accomplished what he had been working hardest toward ever since he first arrived in this world.

He had successfully leveled up.

Raydon was overcome by an unanticipated wave of relief that was coursing through his entire body. It was as if all of the difficulties and stresses that he had encountered up until this point had been removed from his mental well-being.

It wasn't due to the immediate benefits of leveling up; after all, the increase in levels had yet to empower him. He still needed to allocate his newfound stat points to enhance his powers. However, the simple realization that he had successfully leveled up provided him with an indescribable sense of relief as well as a sense of power.

Raydon, making a conscious effort to collect himself, brushed away a few tears from his eyes, savoring the elation that came with leveling up. As he prepared to access the character panel and examine the alterations, his emotional state was abruptly interrupted by a voice emanating genuine concern and care. He shifted his focus towards the individual who had called out to him.

"Young master, are you alright?" Nysora and the others, finally recovering from the shock they had been under for a while, noticed Raydon's tearful expression and became concerned. Without hesitation, they rushed over to him, worried that something was amiss.

Raydon turned his gaze from the system message to the approaching battle maids, his voice croaky and filled with sniffles as he responded, "Yeah, I leveled up."

''What? '' Nysora was momentarily perplexed upon learning the reason behind Raydon's tearful state.

This individual, who some time ago exuded a purely divine aura and had blood as cold as ice, and who had not shown the slightest sign of emotion while chopping off the limbs of the D-Rank Region Boss, who appeared to be impossible to defeat, was now crying because he leveled up.

It was difficult for her and the others to reconcile that image with the sight of Raydon tearing up over a level-up.

But little did they know that Raydon was a fervent gaming addict at heart.

As the sole player among hundreds of thousands unable to level up due to a system bug in his beloved MMORPG game, it had caused him immense despair. How could they possibly understand the gut-wrenching sense of loss that a gaming addict experiences when they are denied the exhilarating feeling of leveling up, which is the very essence of the enjoyment that can be gained from playing such games?

"Congratulations on leveling up, young master," Mell spoke respectfully, bowing her head upon seeing that Raydon had indeed reached level 6, a significant advancement from his initial level 1.

While she also couldn't fathom why gaining just five levels would elicit such intense emotions from Raydon, she decided to set aside any logical reasoning and offer her sincere congratulations, acknowledging the genuine happiness reflected on his face.

''Congratulations, young master," the others chimed in, offering their respectful bows and congratulations.

Raydon's emotional outburst had initially perplexed them, but they later reasoned that geniuses typically have peculiar personalities and unusual fixations. They thought of Raydon as a genius on a level that could not be matched, so his current emotional state did not appear to be anything out of the ordinary to them anymore.

Raydon acknowledged their congratulations with a smile and a nod before turning his attention back to the character panel and continuing his observation of the changes.

[Planet]: B7890-D4850

[Race]: High Human

[Name]: Raydon Demugen

[Title]: Master of All

[Level]: 6

[Rank]: E (White)

[Experience]:  4920 / 13,000

[HP]: 3100

[MP]: 3300

[Strength]: 110

[Agility]: 110

[Stamina]: 110

[Luck]: 110

[Charisma]: 110

[Spirit]: 110

[Undistributed stat points]: 20

When Raydon directed his gaze to the character panel, he discovered that aside from his level and the newly added "Undistributed stat points" section, there were no other changes.

"It seems my race has no effect," Raydon pondered as he observed the 20 free stat points he had received for leveling up five times.

He knew that F-Ranks earned two free stat points per level, while E-Ranks earned four. He had expected his newly acquired high human race feature to further increase this number, but to his disappointment, it didn't meet his expectations.

Raydon also possessed 4920 experience points, including the bonus experience points obtained from previous battles fought by the battle maids. However, it was evidently insufficient for the next level.

'I wonder how many stat points D-Rank item holders gain per level,' Raydon contemplated, his mind filled with questions. He gave it some thought and realized that if the number of undistributed stat points that were granted per level increased with each rank, then it might not make much sense for him to level up while he was still an E-Rank.

'But is it possible for me to reach D-Rank without leveling up?' Raydon questioned, contemplating the possibilities.

The power that he possessed at the moment was unquestionably adequate to advance him to the D-Rank; however, it appeared impossible for him to advance to the next rank without gaining any experience points, which would mean defeating any boss or enemy team.

After a moment of contemplation, Raydon decided to set aside his thoughts and seek Samuen's guidance later to find a solution to this perplexing dilemma. In addition, he had only recently begun to take pleasure in the sense of accomplishment and thrill that came with leveling up, and to stop doing so at this point was not exactly what he wanted to do.

Raydon also found himself indecisive about whether to utilize his free stat points immediately or save them for later. Since he couldn't determine which stat to enhance, he chose to postpone the decision for the time being.

He wanted to see if he could use his stat points to get a sub-skill for every 10 stat points like before, but he decided that he should think more carefully about which stat to raise.

Raydon's goal was to create a build that was versatile enough to accommodate his primary role as a solo player.

He was also able to double both his strength and his agility as a result of the techniques he possessed, but in order for him to make better use of them, he needed to improve his stamina. On the other hand, due to the fact that he was having issues with his mana, it was necessary for him to elevate his spirit in order to solve this issue. And finally, it did not appear to be such a terrible plan to cultivate an army of monsters that could assist him in matches by increasing his charisma, just like the creatures that Diam employs.

When taking all of these different possibilities into consideration, Raydon found it increasingly difficult to choose which stat to concentrate on. As a result, he came to the conclusion that he should hold off on making any definitive choices until he had the chance to examine the items that Samuen would give him.

After he had finished processing all of this, Raydon checked the amount of time that was left on the system.

[Time remaining until the end of the match: 02:14:15]

"Damn, almost an hour has passed," Raydon exclaimed.

In the end, it took him a little less than ten minutes to kill the Region boss; however, before that, he spent a significant amount of time looking for it.

Turning his attention to Feline, he hastily asked, "Did you locate the other region boss?"

''Region boss? '' As soon as this unexpected question was directed at her, Feline immediately began to look at others in a confused and panicked manner, as if she had no idea what a region boss was.

She did remember that Raydon had, in fact, given them the instruction to find the other region boss before he began his fight. But how could she have possibly known that Raydon would be able to take out this region boss on his own in as little as ten minutes?
