Global Superpower: I Control All Elements

Chapter 16 - The Harvest Is Super Amazing

Chapter 16 The Harvest Is Super Amazing

The next moment, Qin Feng entered the Necropolis, finding himself in a small valley. Looking around, he noticed the sky was overcast, the air filled with a faint smell of blood and stench, and the atmosphere cold and eerie.

The valley seemed devoid of monsters. He walked toward the valley’s exit, and outside, a grey grassland stretched out, with a herd of wild horses galloping across it.

Focusing on the wild horses, a screen popped up in his vision:

Category: Spirit Monster

Name: Zombie Wild Horse (Ordinary Level)

Level: Level 6 (Early-stage One-Star)

“There’s no danger warning. It seems the system judges that I can easily kill these Level 6 spirit monsters,” Qin Feng mused with a faint smile.

A Level 6 monster was equivalent to an early-stage One-Star Elementalist, and with his current strength, he was indeed capable of defeating most One-Star Elementalists.

He observed the horse herd, his gaze becoming heated. The crystal cores of these Level 6 spirit monsters could be exchanged for 5 million Tong coins each. However, he didn’t act recklessly.

The Zombie Wild Horses were known for their speed, and he couldn’t catch up to them. Moreover, while he could easily take down one in a one-on-one fight, facing the whole group was a different story.

Thus, Qin Feng decided to find a lone Zombie Wild Horse. As he scanned the grassland, he suddenly spotted a figure—a skeleton man wreathed in white flames, holding a blood-red bone sword.

In a flash, the skeleton sliced through a Zombie Wild Horse, killing it instantly. It then picked up the horse’s crystal core and devoured it.

This scene unfolded so swiftly that Qin Feng was left astounded.

The skeleton had effortlessly killed a Level 6 spirit monster, equivalent to an early-stage One-Star Elementalist. He quickly assessed the skeleton, and another screen popped up:

Category: Spirit Monster

Name: Zombie Skeleton King (Elite Level)

Level: Level 7 (Mid-stage One-Star)

Weapon: Blood Bone Sword (Primordial Weapon, Lower-grade, Can Only Be Dropped Upon First Challenge and Defeat)

Warning: Extremely Dangerous (Win Rate Below 20%)

“Win rate below 20%!” Qin Feng stared in shock. This was the strength of a Level 7 elite monster, while his own power was only at Level 5 lord-level.

Suddenly, another notification rang in his mind:

“Ding! Divine Challenge Activated!”

Challenge Task: Kill the Zombie Skeleton King within 10 minutes.

“Again with the 10-minute time limit!” Qin Feng took a deep breath.

This time, his win rate was under 20%, and unlike last time, there was no fire pillar to aid him. The system was asking him to kill the Skeleton King in just 10 minutes—this challenge was far more difficult than the previous one!

Should I give up?

Qin Feng’s gaze shifted to the blood-red bone sword the Skeleton King was wielding, his eyes burning with desire.

It‘s a Primordial Weapon!

Primordial Weapons, or Yuanwu, could amplify elemental attack power, significantly boosting the strength of both physical powerhouses and Elementalists. These weapons were highly sought after by both types of fighters.

However, the materials needed to craft Yuanwu were extremely rare, often coming from powerful monsters, and were refined through secret methods, making them prohibitively expensive.

A lower-grade primordial weapon could be worth anywhere between 1 to 5 billion Tong coins—far out of reach for most fighters.

“If I get that sword, I’ll be set for life!” Qin Feng licked his lips, filled with both greed and hesitation.

The Skeleton King’s strength was far superior to his, and he wasn’t confident in defeating it within the given time. If he failed, he’d lose the chance to obtain this priceless weapon.

The system had explicitly warned that the sword could only drop upon the first challenge and defeat, meaning he only had this one shot.

Just then, another countdown began:

“Ding! Challenge begins in 3 seconds… 3… 2… 1…”

“Ding! Challenge has started! Time remaining: 10:00…”

Instead of charging toward the Skeleton King, Qin Feng quickly retreated to the valley, hatching a plan.

Once back in the valley, he set up over a hundred high-explosive landmines at the valley entrance, covering them with dirt but leaving a few safe spots for himself to step on.

These high-powered mines were far more destructive than regular ones, which was why they were several times more expensive.

In just over three minutes, he completed his setup—working at a lightning-fast pace—then hurried back out of the valley.

At that moment, he saw the Skeleton King chasing after another Zombie Wild Horse with incredible speed, so fast that Qin Feng’s eyes could barely track its movements. The Skeleton King was much faster than him.

Without wasting time, Qin Feng quickly readied his rocket launcher, loading a special armor-piercing round.

The warhead of the round was made of titanium-manganese alloy, capable of piercing through tanks and even breaking through the defenses of a One-Star monster—far superior to a regular rocket grenade.

Once everything was set, Qin Feng shouted loudly at the Skeleton King. Startled, the Skeleton King stopped in its tracks, confused by the audacity of this small Level 5 spirit monster yelling at it. In the monster world, hierarchy was strictly enforced.

Is this little creature seeking death?

The Skeleton King was momentarily stunned. Taking advantage of this, Qin Feng quickly aimed. The now stationary Skeleton King was a perfect target—he couldn’t have hit it while it was moving at high speed. Seizing the moment, Qin Feng pulled the trigger.

Boom!

A huge explosion rocked the area, dust flying everywhere.

The armor-piercing round had struck the Skeleton King’s pelvis, sending it tumbling to the ground.

However, the Skeleton King swiftly rose again, seemingly unharmed. Its defense was terrifying, much stronger than a typical One-Star monster, impervious even to the special armor-piercing rounds.

This was the strength of an elite monster.

Enraged, the Skeleton King roared, raising its blood-red bone sword and charging toward Qin Feng, ready to slice him in two. But Qin Feng was already loading the second armor-piercing round, his aim steady as he fired again.

Boom!

The second round struck the Skeleton King’s pelvis once more, sending it tumbling to the ground again. Qin Feng continued to reload—his plan was to keep hitting the same spot.

As he loaded the final armor-piercing round, the Skeleton King slowly rose once more, but this time its movements were noticeably slower. The repeated attacks had finally started to take their toll.

40 meters… 30 meters… 20 meters… the Skeleton King closed the distance rapidly.

Qin Feng fired the last round, hitting the pelvis again and knocking the monster down. Without wasting a second, he retreated into the valley, racing along the path where he’d carefully avoided his landmines.

The Skeleton King, now thoroughly enraged, stumbled after him, holding its sword high. But as it entered the valley, the ground erupted in a series of massive explosions.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Nearly a hundred high-powered landmines detonated, creating a terrifying chain of explosions. Qin Feng, lying low in a depression, avoided the deadly shrapnel flying in all directions.

The explosions continued for over 30 seconds before finally subsiding.

Peering up, Qin Feng saw the Skeleton King crawling toward him with one hand holding the blood-red bone sword, the other hand dragging its shattered body forward. Its legs had been blown off entirely.

“Just as I planned!” Qin Feng laughed as he rushed forward, drawing his titanium-manganese alloy sword. With the Skeleton King crippled, he had nothing to fear.

Dodging the monster’s feeble attacks, Qin Feng mercilessly hacked at its neck.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The Skeleton King’s defense was so strong that even sparks flew from the impact, and the repeated strikes made Qin Feng’s hands go numb. But with only three minutes left on the clock, he didn’t let up.

Finally, after another series of brutal strikes, there was a cracking sound—the Skeleton King’s head was severed. With a final wail, its body crumbled into black mist, dissipating into the air. Spirit monsters had no flesh or blood.

As the mist cleared, a blood-red bone sword and a Level 7 crystal core lay on the ground. The crystal core alone could be exchanged for 10 million Tong coins, and the blood bone sword, a primordial weapon, was worth over a billion.

“Hahaha! I’m rich!” Qin Feng exclaimed in excitement as he picked up the blood bone sword and crystal core…
