Chapter 52: Wannabe dwarf assassin??
Maybe he shouldn't have spoken too soon.
Not long after, he said that, an arrow whistled through and slammed into their barrier with such force the warship tilted to the side; the ship fizzled, and Litha winced, but it held as she reinforced it with more mana.
A ship, a cruise ship, appeared from the distance like some great bird of prey, curving towards them at terrifying speed, far faster than it should be moving.
Jael swallowed as another arrow, almost too fast for him to see, pierced the air towards them, glowing with energy, but then Tim answered with a stone projectile of his own, and the two collided with a small bust of shockwave.
"They must have some kind of ability that's making them faster, elemental water or air..." Jael told Temur as they watched the ship get closer still. They could now make out the yellow colors and the black paint it was coated in.
"It seems so." Temur nodded grimly. "Cele, join Tim at the front and burn that ship down!"
A fireball soon hovered above their head, glowing red and rolling heat through the whole ship. Cele's cloak flapped behind her, and she pointed; the fireball jerked forward with intense speed, blurring forward in a red streak.
They held their breath as closed the distance, even farther than the moving ship; just as it was about to collide though, a wall of water stood and blocked it.
Jael grimaced as the ship continued to move forward, they could now see figures standing at the front and a flag flapping wildly. His eyes widen. "Is that the flag of The Blazing Guild??!"
The same ones that wanted to kill his teammates earlier because some phyco declared themselves King! Jael gritted his teeth. That's it; he'll have his payback against that assassin-wannabe dwarf!
"The Blazing Guild. Why are they attacking us though? They want to be part of the ten, eh? Tim! Over to you!" Temur shouted.

Tim raised stones, bigger ones the size of heads, and they gleamed black in the sun. He gestured, and they shot off like a big bullet that slammed into the wall of water and ate through it like paper.
The sone smashed into the side of the ship and gouged a large long hole at the top. In retaliation, a sword arc rose up and sped towards them.
"I got this." Temur sped forward and raised his sword up then down so fast it blurred with the air, but what it did was shot out a concentrated aura that arc high.
The two met, water and aura tearing into each other with a force that sent shockwave ripping between the two ships and made them both swivel.
Litha cursed, tasting her salty sweat as if dripping past her mouth; she was doing an advanced shielding that allowed her the to let attack pass through from inside but stopped it from coming in. "Can't you take the bastards out? Wait..!!" She looked at the ship speeding directly at them. "It's going to collide with us!!!"
They realized the intention of the cruise ship at once as it refused to stop and instead began to cover itself with water. Seawater stood and covered its body, warping around it like armor.
"Cele!" Temur shouted. "Tim!"
Fireball bloomed, filling the air with bright flashes but they were on the sea and there's unlimited seawater that doused the fire before it even reaches them. Even Tim's stones seems ineffective right now and still, the ship sped closer.
Temur's sword flashed in the air as he raised it. "Can you withstand a hit like that, Litha?"
She looked at the armored cruise ship and shook I head. "If I change to the other type of shield. Probably. But we won't be able to stop them."
Temur shook his head. "Hold on tight then. Everyone else! Be prepared to use every attack to tear the ship apart. Prepare close range powerful attacks. We are going to ram it."
"Can't we just move around it!" Tim shouted above the noise of the sea.
"It'll just keep coming after us. It's better to finish this once and for all. And we're a metal ship, we might not even take much damage. " Temur's eyes darkened.
Jael was thinking fast. 'If we ram together then taking damage is unavoidable. Can we make it over the other side like that? I have to do something!'
An idea struck him and he grinned. "Captain Temur! Will you give me command? I have a crazy idea that might just let us come out of this unscathed."
Temur didn't hesitate. "What do want us to do?"
Jael breath deeply. "Litha continue with the shield! Others get to the edge and prepare to unleash everything you've got," he turned to the ghost captain. "Can you prove that you can ride the wave like a pro?"

Durgin, the dawlf assassin grinned, rolling his dagger in his hand. "We are about to blow them to slitherings, maybe we'll even get to loot the...."
An aura flared behind him and a smooth voice said. "You serve the King. How dare you think of looting a peasant ship like that? Just destroy them."
Durgin nodded quickly, he gestured to the pesky human woman beside him. "Get your arrows ready, Lyra. Use the strongest. With Orion covering us here in the sea. Nothing can pass through our defense."
Wind blew his red bared in his face and he scowled. "They are here! Get ready! Orion make the waters move us even faster." He heart beat faster in anticipation as he saw the human he saw earlier in the village.
Durgin thought the ship in front of them would move out of the way but they continue on their path. 'Can't they see the heavy armour on the ship?'
"Die you hum...!!"
Booom!
Their ship was lifted as an explosion of green fire that rocked them from below. Durgin gripped the side of the ship as seawater slammed into him and almost sent him flying.
Then their ship hung there and they heard the sound of something cracking. Bitter cold rolled into their ship as the waters that was covering them froze together with the sea surrounding them.
Durgin watched with shuddered breath as the ship they were looking to destroy pass by them and then slowed.
All the occupant smiled and It wasn't a good smile.
