Eldrida is a very good town, compared to a bustling city back on earth. The difference is that people walk the streets here with weapons attached to hips or back, flying ships covered the sky and the hawkers openly called what they sell in open stall besides the streets.
"Is this why you brought me along?" Temur grumbled.
"Of course not! I can't let you tag along just because I want to enjoy walking on the crowded streets while you clear the way for me. Don't think like that!" Jael said.
Temur grumbled, he didn't sound like he believed him and Jael smiled. As usual Temur's bulk cleared the traffic faster than a man waving a sword can.
Soon they left the busy main roads and move into more less crowded streets. Unlike the main roads this streets have carriages powered by mana run their road.
The carriages are made in different sizes and for different purposes, like the one that passed them now, it's as big as a truck and use for transporting life monsters– its better to just throw the dead ones in the ring– or fresh vegetables or artifacts that can't be stored in spatial rings.
They soon get to where they were going. "So this is one of the biggest slaughterhouse around here eh?"
"What exactly are you looking for?" Temur asked.
Jael sighed. "I don't know either but we'll see. I'll know when we see it."

Because Thayer had called the slaughterhouse beforehand, there was someone waiting outside to lead them through. A sort of a guide.
He showed them the different department where monsters are processed, this slaughterhouse deals with insects type monsters and he showed them where the different part of the monsters are sent to.
Like the glands of poisonous ones are sent to a department that will test how potent the poison it and then they sell it raw to the alchemist Guilds.
The small fleshly parts are sent to the cold food where they will test if it's good for eating before selling to interested restaurants. But the main reason for this slaughterhouse is the monster's eyes.
Monsters, insects types especially have such rich colors in their eyes that when carefully processed can be used to color clothing or anything really. They sell for the most expensive type of colors in the Tower.
And the stronger the monster the more they eyes have vibrant colors, especially if they were using mana when they died. This and more are what Jael learned from their guide.
But then he led them to where Jael have been looking forward to since morning– the bone department.
".....it's one of the best department! We do open auctions once a month to sell the bones," his voice lowered. "You are really lucky that you are able to buy what you want now."
Jael nodded in agreement. It's good to know a rich and connected person.
"Mostly its the Makers – craftsmen, blacksmith and such– are those that buy them. A lot of Awakener like to use bone armour instead of metal or other material."
Jael wondered if he'll be able to use bone armor in the future, with his Unholy magic it should be an easy thing. But first...their guide opened the door and waved them in.
Jael sucked in a breath at what he saw. This is the first time he'll be seeing so much bones gathered together in one place. "Splendid."
"Let me show you the different bones from lower rank monsters..."
Jael stopped listening to him and just walk around on his own, on the other hand Temur waa listening intently to the man.
Jael walk deeper into the room, the deeper he went the less cluster the bones appeared, they are now neatly arranged on shelves and labeled. He didn't know what he was looking for but he touched each one briefly.
Noting the smooth texture and injecting small dose of his Unholy magic to get a feel of it. Finally he stopped in front of a bone, spine and bright green. "Such lovely color.." he murmured as he caressed it with his hand.
A sent his magic into it and Jael flinched back with a gasp, he was breathing hard and his hands trembled when he lifted it. 'What is that?' For an instant what he felt was a fear so deep it turned his stomach and froze his blood.
"Oh that!"
The voice made Jael flinched back and he grimaced when he saw it was just their guide and Temur. "Pardon?"
"This monster's bone here. It's a very peculiar one, the team that went to hunt the zone were wiped out by, not a single one of them returned. When another team went they found dead monsters, half eaten littering the forest ground. This bone right here is from an unknown silver rank monster but we found it badly chewed."
Jael could understand why they have sold it yet. Crafters hate working with monsters they don't know and it's not like a spine bone is good to do much. He touched it again but without putting his magic.
It felt cool to the touch but that previous fear wasn't there. It must be his magic that activated it. "I'll take this one."
"Oh are you sure? There are lots of wonderful bones here, I don't know what you are going to do with it but we even have complete set....."
Jael insisted that he's okay with the green bone and since there was nothing the guide could do he let him have his way. He put the bone into his ring while the guide promised to forward their bill to the Gold Guild.
Temur thanked the man very well since this was the first time he was seeing how the monsters they killed are processed and this is only for one kind of monsters too!"
"Why do you pick this one? Is it going to help?" Temur asked on their way back.
"We'll see." Is all he got as a reply.
