Chapter 31: Chapter31-Setting Out for the Class Change Quest

Hearing Leo's words, envy flickered in the eyes of the others.

This fellow was leveling up way too effortlessly.

At that moment, Harrison approached Icethorn. "I wonder when my reward will arrive."

Icethorn nodded, subsequently drawing out an Ink Jade token from his spatial bag. "This is the last one I have and also the last one in the entire Celestial Bureau. Venturing into the Enchanted Realm consumes a vast amount of resources. I predict our opportunities to enter in the future will be limited."

Harrison accepted it, briefly examining its attributes.

[Apocalypse Token (S-level)]

Description: A pass to enter and exit the Apocalypse Enchanted Realm.

Usage count: 1/1.

Harrison gave a subtle nod, deciding his next course of action. "Unless there are other matters, I shall embark on my class change quest."

A soft yet determined look passed over Icethorn's face. "It's time. I too should face my class change trial."

Suddenly, Leo approached Emma, a resolute look in his eyes. "Emma, I'm now a level 45 Iron Guard. Would you consider letting me assist you in your class change quest?"

A hint of hesitation flashed in Emma's eyes, her brows furrowing as if grappling with some internal reservations.

Noticing Emma's reaction, Harrison swiftly stepped forward, enveloping Emma within a protective embrace, his arm gently draped over her slender shoulders. "Emma's task will be undertaken by me,"

Harrison declared firmly. "So, Leo, no further words are needed."

His gaze, while speaking, was intense and unwavering.

Turning to Emma, he whispered, "Let's go."

A radiant joy blossomed on Emma's face.

Lifting her clear eyes, she softly replied, "Of course, Harrison."

...

Inside the narrow confines of the elevator, a dim yellow light cast soft shadows upon Harrison and Emma.

Harrison slowly withdrew the arm that was draped around Emma's shoulder.

The warm sensation of his touch faded, leaving a fleeting emptiness in her heart.

He turned towards her, his eyes deep and calm as still waters, and asked, "Which class are you thinking of changing to?"

With a faint sigh, Emma replied with a smile, "I'm considering becoming a Nature Priestess. This class not only has healing abilities but can also control enemies. Moreover, my third talent is the S-level 'Nature Bloom'. It significantly reduces the mana consumption when I cast Nature spells, but the effectiveness increases fivefold, and the cooldown is halved. For me, the Nature Priestess is undeniably the best choice."

Harrison was taken aback by Emma's talent and joked, "Could it be that all your talents are of S-level?"

Emma lightly shook her head, a hint of pride shining through her smile, "Actually, my tenth talent is SS-level."

Harrison's eyes widened in surprise, as if beholding a treasured artifact. Emma's talents rivaled those of the top-tier players.

However, her name never appeared in the Celestial Bureau's list from his past life.

Harrison speculated that perhaps Emma met an untimely end in that life.

After all, numerous so-called "geniuses" met early demises for various reasons.

A weighty silence settled in the elevator.

At that moment, Harrison activated his class change quest interface, ready to refresh.

Getting the Summoning Magus would be great, but if not, it wasn't a big deal.

He began the refreshing process.

There was an array of classes a magus could change to: Shadow Wizard, Blood Magus, Vengeance Magus, Creation Magus, and so on.

Eventually, Harrison's gaze settled on an S-level quest - the highest he had encountered.

[Twisted Thicket (S-level)]: The plants have gone wild, and the minds of the forest treants have been warped. Investigate the truth, locate the root of this calamity, and eliminate it. (Location: 200 kilometers from here).

[Reward]: Windshaper Magus class change scroll.

Windshaper Magus.

This class brought a wash of old memories to Harrison, fragmented flashes played out in his mind.

He remembered, in his past life within his organization, there was a member who had class-changed into this very class.

The rumors then whispered of this class bestowing a rare skill book, one that summoned the Storm Sprite.

Taking a deep breath, Harrison firmly decided, "This time, it's you!"

Without hesitation, he quickly selected the quest titled "Twisted Thicket."

Stepping onto the ground, the fresh air swirling around him, he turned to Emma, softly inquiring, "Emma, what's your quest this time? Perhaps, I could help."

Emma's gentle smile held a glint of determination, "I need to defeat 10 Bronze-grade treants."

Harrison blinked in surprise, "What a coincidence, I too am set to confront those treants. Seems our fates are deeply intertwined."

Emma's face brightened even more at this, "I was worried about where to find those treant monsters."

Surveying the distance, Harrison said earnestly, "Our destination is about two hundred kilometers away. It's quite a journey ahead."

Quick to respond, Emma confidently declared, "I'll drive. Let's set off immediately!"

Soon after, Emma pulled up in a fiery red off-road vehicle.

Sunlight gleamed off its surface, making it shimmer like a resplendent, crimson beast.

Harrison approached, with Skeleton King following closely.

He patted the door gently before opening it, settling himself in the driver's seat.

"You take shotgun," Harrison stated plainly.

Emma smiled lightly, gracefully moving to the other side of the vehicle, her every step reminiscent of a dance, emphasizing her long, elegant legs.

She took her seat with finesse.

Starting the vehicle, Harrison, following the system's navigation, swiftly entered a winding mountain road.

This was the essential route to the Celestial Bureau headquarters, nestled within majestic mountains.

As they ventured deeper into the mountains, the landscape transformed into a pristine, serene wilderness.

Occasionally, creatures resembling wild boars would dart out, their curious eyes fixed on the speeding vehicle, briefly giving chase.

However, they wouldn't persist long, slowing their pace after chasing for a couple of miles, eventually disappearing into the forest.

Fortunately, despite the frequent monster appearances, the road remained undamaged.

The vehicle moved smoothly, seamlessly.

After about five hours of driving, they finally stopped before a forest that, while looking ordinary, exuded an air of mystique.

Looking at the pulsing quest marker on the navigator, Harrison knew they had arrived at their journey's end.
