Chapter 129: Chapter 129: Taking Missions!
Yuan Ming was unable to hear the words of the people around him and continued his act. He pointed at the guard and complained.
"Sister Rong, this guy said that I could not enter the Guild because I looked like a poor guy making trouble here."
The guard was speechless at the shameless act of the boy.
Right now he was roaring like he would take on the whole guild by himself for not allowing to entering him.
Suddenly he was acting like a victim who was harassed in public. He wanted to slap him right there in the face but because of Li Rong who seemed to be familiar with the boy he refrained.
Even the people in the surroundings who had seen what happened were truly speechless.
Before Li Rong could say anything a voice came from the side stopping her from saying anything.
"You could have just shown him your Mercenary Identity Token."
Hearing the familiar emotionless voice made Li Rong tremble and take a step back.
She turned around sharply to see the same handsome boy walking forward.
Her abnormality was noticed by Yuan Ming who frowned. Li Rong was a woman he wanted to pursue because of her cold attitude towards everyone.
He liked an indifferent and strong woman. The thought of her having him as his woman made him feel an exhilarating feeling.
But seeing the same cold and fearless woman tremble in fear just from a voice made him think that something was wrong.
When he turned to see the face of the boy who had just talked, Yuan Ming narrowed his eyes, finding the boy familiar.
He was a little jealous of the handsome appearance of the boy. Then he remembered where he got this kind of feeling from.
"It's you!!"
Yuan Ming shouted at Noah while pointing his finger at him.
'Wasn't this boy a talent less mortal, how did he manage to cross the forbidden forest and come here? How did he become even more handsome??'
So many questions came to his mind that he could not think of answers about.
"Hmm, Do you Know me?" Even though Noah recognized the boy he kept the pretense that he did not know him because only a fool would act friendly with someone like him.
Seeing that boy did not know him, Yuan Ming wanted to reveal how he knew him and ask how he seemed alright even after forcibly making his way on the path of cultivation.
He should be bedridden but here he was well and kicking. He did not dare to ask his questions because it would arouse many questions about his own past. He did not want to draw eyes to himself at this moment, he needed to keep a 'low profile'.
"No, I must have been mistaken."
Yuan Ming shook his head making Noah a little confused but did not say anything.
"Let's go inside, there is no need to stay here."
Seeing the clicked figure behind Noah did not want to cause any scene here and suggested. He walked inside first with a cloaked figure following behind him.
Li Rong took a step back instinctively to make way for Noah to enter. she had her fist clenched and followed him without saying anything. Glancing at the haggard figure of Yuan Ming, she could not help but compare the two of them.
Yuan Ming was still not satisfied that the guard was left unpunished but seeing Li Rong's unnatural expression, he was more curious about it. He looked at Noah with an unfriendly expression.
Yu Ming was really displeased with Yuan Ming, he wanted to cause trouble in front of her guild. It might not be much for him but the longer the work stops in the guild the higher the losses she has to bear.
She was really confused why Li Rong would entertain this boy. Although he had talent, it was nowhere near compared to many other mercenaries and even the boy in front of her.
.
.
" I will be going up, you can take care of the work here." Entering the guild, Yu Ming said goodbyes to Noah and walked towards the stairs leading to the upper floors.
She showed a token to the guards standing at the staircase and they bowed in respect to her before making a way for her to walk to the upper floors.
Noah turned his attention away from the woman and looked at the familiar scene of the mercenary hall.
Everyone inside the hall was looking at him. They had different kinds of emotions in their eyes.
Seeing the boy looking in their direction they looked away pretending that they weren't staring at him by whistling or looking at the table like it was treasure.
One guy even found out that he had armpit hair on him.
Noah's lips twitched at their actions. He ignored them and looked back at Li Rong who was looking at the stairs with a little shock and fear in her gaze.
'It looks like she has guessed Yu Ming's identity.'
Coming out of her shock, Li Rong looked at Noah with a complicated expression. She did not expect that this boy was this close to the envoy from the main guild.
"Where can I find the missions? I wanna take a couple."
Not caring about her inner turmoil Noah asked in a neutral voice making her snap out of her daze.
"Please follow me."
Taking a deep breath she calmed herself before taking Noah towards the counter where a staff member stood.
Seeing Li Rong coming back, the guy nodded and walked back inside.
He was the guy Li Rong asked to look after the place because she wanted to deal with the commotion outside.
"What Kind of request do you want? Something suitable for a party or just for you?"
Going behind the counter, Li Rong asked some questions that were part of the general procedure, Noah calmly answered them.
He mentioned that he wanted to do some solo hunting missions.
"These are the missions available for the C-rank that you can take."
After a while Li Rong took Noah towards a notice board where the missions were placed.
She guided him through the process of what kind of missions he could take and what he could not.
Noah did not care much about what price was there on the mission and just simply chose all the hunting missions.
"These all, I want them."
Seeing Noah pointing at the couple of missions, she wanted to decline while reminding him not to be arrogant or he might lose his life.
"Very well~ I will add them! I wish you 'good luck'."
Then something inside of her wanted him to suffer. She wished him good luck in her coldest tone and marked the missions in her lodgings.
