Chapter 9: Special Uniform and a free ride back home.

The things that Dean Frankenstein handed over to him included a set of uniforms that is assigned to all other Freshmen of the Academy, a map of the Academy, his schedule, and a soft leather book with the title "Beginner's guide to mana."

The uniform was white, texture soft to the touch, looking very clean, a hint of extravagant was added at the chest pockets, small blue gems signifying the Frost Fall Academy was fixed on the chest pockets.

To his surprise, a system message popped up and notified him that the uniform contained mysterious properties.

[Frost Fall Academy Freshman Uniform]

[Durability: 200]

[Effect 1, Durable Cloth: Hard to Destroy]

[Effect 2, Refresh: The uniform Automatic clear itself from dust and other substance once per day, or by activating the Refresh rune in-laid in the clothes]

[Effect 3, Size modification: The clothes size is automatically adjusted to a measurement suitable for the wearer. The size can increase or decrease by a maximum of 3 inches]

This was a magical Academy. Even the most basic uniforms here possesses mysterious properties. One of them had caused his troubles to wane. Whittaker had never learned the way of washing clothes, now that his uniform automatically cleans itself, he didn't need to learn how to wash.

His crystal white eyes blazed with an interest in magic as he ran in the empty halls of the main academy building. Running in the hallway was forbidden. This was a common rule but he didn't know about that. Furthermore, he ran so that he can reach the boy's dormitory faster.

The headmaster and Dean Frankenstein stood face to face. The facade they had put on for the newly enlisted student was no longer necessary to them. Hence, they ripped it off their faces, revealing their true nature.

"Headmaster, this is my first time seeing you treat someone with so much kindness and generosity. You escorted that boy inside the Academy and oversaw his admission. Is that Kid your bastard child? No wonder why you never married and are still single." Dean Frankenstein said in amusement. His words betrayed the handsome look of his face. Whittaker would have rubbed his eyes in confusion if he was here.

"Haha, don't worry, in this entire Academy, rather, in my entire life, you are my only bastard child," Headmaster said with a smirk that stabbed into Frankenstein's heart.

No one would believe that even the Kind Headmaster who looks like a buddha can spew out such vulgar words, yet he did.

Frankenstein gazed back at him with a smile that was not a smile. This secret was known to everyone who has been a part of this academy for a certain amount of time, and he has heard others calling him Yeon bastard son a lot of time. But this was actually a huge misunderstanding that he couldn't correct as he wanted to live peacefully. Now, this old man was using this to his advantage!

"Joke aside, old man Yeon, what is in that boy that caused you to personally move?" The Dean said, referring to Whittaker.

The headmaster crinkled his nose. In the entire Academy, only this person dares to disregard respect and directly call him by name. Yeon was the name of the Headmaster.

"Well, he..." A mysterious expression appeared in the kind face of the old man who was a crafty old fox with a silver tongue. The Headmaster leaned in and whispered some words in Frankenstein's ears.

"What!" Frankenstein exclaimed while smashing his hands on the table. Under the impact of his hand smashing on the table, it cracked up from the middle and shattered into two parts.

Frankenstein's reaction was as anticipated by the Headmaster. It really pleased this old fox, who caressed his beard and said,

"Haha, guess we will have to replace the table. It's a mana conducting table so it cost 1000 platinum bars. The cost will be deducted from your monthly salary, so don't complain, later on."

"Headmaster! The table smashing into two doesn't matter!! What's more important is that boy. He really has two Class Weapons??!!!!!" Frankenstein said in one breath.

The Headmaster nodded with a hearty laugh after he saw Frankenstein's face full of disbelieve. He was laughing because Frankenstein suffered a massive monetary loss.

In this world, one platinum bar was equal to one thousand gold pieces. So, one thousand platinum bars were equal to 1000000 gold pieces. With this much fortune, Whittaker could buy a massive piece of land in the city, and make life comfortable for his family.

Frankenstein pondered for a while and then exclaimed to Headmaster who was looking out the window of the office, "Him having two class weapons is probably the reason why he has a lot of mana even though he just awakened!"

"Maybe but I don't think that's it... his second class weapon is seven attribute sword." The Headmaster who was looking out the window replied. In his eyes, the closed gates of the boy's dormitory were reflected.

"Ah, so it's an F-ranked weapon," Dean Frankenstein calmed down as the second class weapon of the snow haired boy was not to fret over since it was legit trash.

Whittaker had barely left the main Academy building when Headmaster's voice echoed in his brain. "Boy, the Dorm gate should be closed by now, since it's midnight. So, you won't be able to enter it even if you go there now."

His footsteps halted, troubling thoughts filled his mind. 'What should I do now? The dormitory gate is already closed. Would I have to sleep on the ground tonight, or should I break into the dormitory?'

The Headmaster peaking at his mind was certainly amused, laughing out loud, he mentally transmitted his words to the young boy.

"Haha, Don't fret, Let me give you a ride back to your dorm room." Along with those words, a spiraling portal opened in front of him. "Take this portal, it will take you to your designated dormitory room."

Whitaker, whose footsteps had halted for a moment, saw the spatial portal opened up in front of him, he then proceeded to leave after expressing his gratitude with a bow.

Haiz! The Headmaster was the second kindest person he has met in his life. He helped him awaken, recommended him to join an Academy meant for Royals and Nobles, saved him from financial trouble, saved his life, and eventually gave him a free ride to his new home. As for the kindest person, it was his mom. The kindest person he had ever met was none other than Mother Lin.

Entering the portal, he found his vision blank, but he continued to move as instructed by the principal. Eventually, he will reach the room where he will be staying for the next several years.

The portal didn't only open outside the Dean's office, but also amid room number 7.

Inside the room, a black-haired young kid around Whittaker's age was reading a book on martial arts when he sensed a source of disturbance emitting from behind him.

Turning around, a spatial portal reflected in his deep black eyes.
