Chapter 14: Level 1 Frost Mage–Attributes points and Skill Development points.
With a "Bee!" sound, Whittaker became level 1 Frost mage, and multiple windows popped up.
Before checking them, he cautiously glanced at Shadow laying on the opposite side. Seeing him still sleep, he excluded a breath of relief.
Goddamn, no one told him that leveling up would cause a "Bee" sound to be produced!
This time he was lucky that no one heard the sound but the next time he might not be as lucky. From now on, he must find a safe and secure place first before leveling up, or else his secret will be exposed in no time.
Right after, his attention turned towards the new notifications.
[Frost Mage Class: 01]
[Gained 4 Attributes Points]
[Attribute points: Can be used to increase the attributes of the User. An increase in Attribute will increase the strength of the User.]
[Recommended attribute to strengthen for Frost Mage: Intelligence]
[Gained 2 Skill development point]
[Skill Development point: Can be used to learn a skill book or a spellbook. Can be used to Advance existing spells and skills by a small level!]
[Levelling up for Frost Mage class is set on a 24-hour cooldown period. The User can not level up Frost Mage Class as long as this period remains]
On the character screen, a ticking clock appeared before the Frost Mage Class. The system messages were detailed and he understood much of it.
Delighted with such rewards got from just leveling up, he decided to save his skill development point for future use and first sort out his attribute points.
Focusing his gaze on the intelligence stat, he put all the four attributes points into the intelligence stat.
His intelligence attribute was connected to four different characteristics. The increase in his intelligence also increased the other four characteristics.
[Intelligent increased: 1115]
[Mana point increased: 110150. Total mana points 250/150]
[Mana Recovery per second increased: 5.57.5]
[Magic Defense increased: 2230]
[Magic attack Damage increased: 1115]
He was head over the moon because of a single level up his power level has increased to 1.25. Before it was 1.21!
The time on the clock was ticking away with every breath. He stood up and picked up the book he received yesterday from Dean Frankenstein. The black pendant, he wore around the neck, and the map of the Academy, he stored in the inner pockets of his uniform. The map wasn't big and fit into his inner pocket just perfectly.
He did not want to leave the black pendant behind as he didn't want to lose this item at any cost because this was the only clue he had to locate and find his real parent. He was curious about who his parents are and why they abandoned him but he didn't tell that to Mother Lin.
Lastly, he wrapped up the long snowy-hairs around his neck and shoulder like a scarf, and before he knew it, it was already 6:45 am. He stood up and left the room to reach the Academy main building where the first class will take place.
He wasn't alone while leaving the boys dorm as another student, Ruth had decided on the same plan as him, to leave the dormitory at 6:45 am.
Ruth's body frame was quite small, even for a kid, but it suited his small facial features. He had the classic characteristic of a water kingdom civilian, blue eyes, and hairs. Because of the baby fat on his face, he looked chubby and cute, like a harmless hamster.
Ruth was wearing the same uniform as Whittaker, as he was also a new student in the Academy.
Coincidentally, Ruth bumps into Whittaker while leaving through the open gates of the boy's dormitory building.
He lowered his head and ignoring Whittaker he moved ahead without saying anything to him.
"Hey!" Whittaker yelled and Ruth flinched nervously and halted in his tracks. Whittaker caught up to him and said the rest, "Since you are going to the Academy, let's go together."
"Okay!" Saying that one word, Ruth started to sprint lightly.
Whittaker followed behind with an amused look. He thought,
'So this is the anti-social type person that Sister talked about a lot in her letters!'
Side by side, the two kids headed to the main building of the Academy.
Along the way, Whittaker was very talkative while Ruth barely replied.
"Hey, I am Whittaker Lin. What's your name?"
"Ruth."
"I am 12 years old. How about you?"
"13.."
"You are so short that you don't look thirteen..."
"I haven't hit puberty, yet," Ruth replied slightly annoyed by the endless pestering. By that time, they had reached in front of the Academy main building.
They walked into the Academy.
"Let's split up to find our classroom," Whittaker said.
"Sure," Ruth replied. He was relieved to be free from this schoolmate. He wished to never meet someone like Whittaker, again. He didn't know what he will do if someone so talkative becomes his classmate.
Whittaker dashed to the left side hallway to locate his classroom while Ruth, with stable steps, walked to the right side hallway to locate his classroom.
Whittaker dashed through the Hall of the Academy since he didn't know the rules of the Frost Fall Academy and tried to locate Class 1-D.
A teacher with a stern face happened to be walking the same Hallway as Whittaker. He chided, "Hey, Boy, stop right there! Running in the Hallway is forbidden! Do you not know?"
Whittaker halted and turned around. When he saw the teacher's scary face he was reminded of a goblin.
"I don't know," he replied honestly while scratching the back of his head.
The teacher happened to notice that Whittaker was a freshman because of the badge on the uniform. Thus, he continued with a lighter speech, "Since you are new here, I will let you off. Next time, it won't be so simple and you will be punished by the disciplinary hall."
"Okay, I understand," Whittaker said that and flashed his white teeth to the stern teacher, this teacher could help him to locate the classroom. This way he won't have to keep on wandering like a dumb fool to locate Class 1-D.
"Teacher, can you please help me with finding my classroom? It's classroom 1-D."
