Chapter 333: The Great Earthquake

Chapter 333: The Great Earthquake

Putting the Western server aside, drastic changes were taking place within the Easts Holy Ground. The reinforcements were hailed as heroes and Hibiscus had little choice but to grant them access given the circumstances.

Now, three people stood on the towers top floor. The trio were leaders of the Easts major forces; if Hades was present, itd be a meeting of all leaders.

Chau Yu stared at Hibiscus and calmly stated, I told you youd regret it.

Hibiscus shrugged. Perhaps you are right.

Ding! Chau Yu received a notification.

Player Hibiscus has initiated to transfer the Holy Grounds ownership to you. Accept?

Chau Yu was stupefied and couldnt cough up a word. He never expected Hibiscus to act so decisively.

With an exhausted look, Hibiscus sighed and said, Ive felt it from the battle. My strength pales in comparison to the masses. Perhaps youre right. I might be a good fighter, but the same could not be said for being a general. In that case, Ill leave the troublesome issues for you people to handle.

Hibiscus then turned to look at Mask, his piercing eyes locked onto the red Mask of the Hidden Dragon decorated by a snow-white dragon.

I do not believe I am any weaker than you are. You now have more responsibilities on your shoulder, while Im a free man who can focus on the pursuit of strength. The result will not be a draw the next time we fight.

Drako Yau returned the stare and said slowly, Ill be waiting.

Hibiscus shuddered ever so slightly as his face paled. Waiting Is it Very well. He stood up from his throne and flew away without a farewellso that they couldnt see his tightened yet trembling fists.

By saying hed wait, Mask was implying he had to catch up to him. He knew long ago that he was abusing his cheap trick of Flowery Step. In proper combat, his chances of winning were less than thirty per cent.

This masked guy Hes way too frank, Hibiscus thought as he flew away.

The next day, the Eastern server was blown away by a series of shocking news. Stunning headlines flooded all online game magazines.

Change of Ownership: Chau Yu Crowned New Owner of Holy Ground!

Eastern Server Defeats The Western Army of 100,00!

Myriad Blooms Disbanded!

Chau Yu Grants Access to Holy Ground to All Players!

Every incident was worthy of shaking the entire server, yet they all exploded forth on the same day; some even called it the servers earthquake.

Chau Yu quickly arranged everything for the Holy Ground to operate in full gear. Matters that had been troublesome for Hibiscus were no more than trifling for him. All sorts of buildings were constructed, such as the resurrection altar, teleportation arrays that connected the Holy Ground to the three cities, a trade centre, and grocery stores. The entire Holy Ground was bustling with liveliness.

Meanwhile, Drako Yau and Chau Yu were engaged in discussions on the towers top floor.

How about I transfer the ownership to you?

No.

Drako Yau hated administration work the most. He was barely Level 37, while most top players from the West were already at Level 45. He only managed to hold his own in the battle because of his extraordinary class, cultivation style, furniture, and equipment, but even all those werent enough in the long run.

Fighting the Four Generals would prove to be a demanding task due to their level difference, as shown by his need to expose his trump card when up against Butcherer. As one of the Four Generals, Butcherer was naturally Level 45, not to mention his collection of equipment and furniture were in no way inferior to Drako Yaus. Considering all that, their difference in level had almost cost him his life.

Drako Yau had given away most of his duties to others so he could grind his level up as quickly as possible. He wouldnt have come over if not because Chau Yu claimed they had important issues to discuss.

Chau Yu shrugged, seemingly expecting the answer. Hoh, I knew it.

You didnt ask me over for this, right?

Of course not. Chau Yu turned to look at Drako Yau. Lets cooperate.

How?

Have you seen footage of the Wests siege?

Drako Yau could then guess where Chau Yu was going.

The Wests Holy Ground is quite far away from ours. With teleportation disabled in the Warring Wastelands, they could only travel all the way over to siege us, making them the away side. They couldnt call in reinforcements, which was the main reason they lost.

If they fought on home territory Even if we have the advantage of numbers Chau Yu gritted his teeth as he recalled the disciplined forces of the West. Im not confident that we can win. Its not because of our levels, but their flawless coordination. It is something we must catch up with!

After moments of silence, Drako Yau stated simply, I refuse.

Chau Yu squinted his eyes into a glare. What is the meaning of this? Are you trying to tread Hibiscus path?

Drako Yau shook his head. I agree we should become allies. What I refuse is to have Dragon Alliance train with Empyreal Alliance. Months ago, we have already begun training in coordination with Underworld and have formed chemistry among our ranks. All of that effort would go to waste if we add Empyreal Alliance into the equation now.

If you were so confident, why didnt I notice any coordination from your troops in yesterdays battle?

Drako Yau remained unfazed as he refuted, Thats because we couldnt gather everyone. Less than ten thousand trained players were present, with most of them being ordinary players.

Intel from the West shows that their army is divided into Five Palaces and Twelve Chambers. That I think is a commanding structure we can take reference from. Dragon Alliance, Underworld, and Empyreal Alliance can each form a corps. In battle, each corps will be led by its respective commanders, while a general will oversee all three corps. This is a more realistic approachthe war has already begun, we dont have the time to train from scratch.

Im sure Empyreal Alliance has been training in secret as well. Theres the matter of reorganising your forces to incorporate newcomers from Myriad Blooms, but that is something for you to take care of.

Drako Yau was already headed for the exit as he said finally, Speed things up, we dont have much time. If Im not mistaken, the war between the East and the West will take place once the first dungeon is released.

Only Chau Yu, who wore a complicated look, remained on the top floor. He scratched his head and muttered to himself, Ive done so much research already I knew this fella isnt a rash one

Chau Yu could accept the fact that Mask was better at combat, but he simply couldnt admit defeat when it came to tactics and intellect.

Looks like he ordered his alliance to start group combat training a long time ago. He also knew everything about the East Whered Dragon Alliance point their sharpened sword at if not for the Warring Wastelands?

The answer was obvious. Drako Yaus final words before he left also contained a tint of dominance; it sounded as if he was ordering his subordinate.

Chau Yu held his fists and swore, Mask, just you wait! Ill destroy you after we deal with Olympus!

Truth be told, blaming Drako Yau was a mistake. He was most certainly inferior to Chau Yu when it came to strategy and overall planning; his talent lay in his ability to analyse. He had to sort out endless data as a game designer, and after he gained the ability to use Frost Form, his brain was almost like a supercomputer. He might not come up with the most creative tactics in war, but his ability to analyse the current situation was comparable to Chau Yu the mastermind.
