Chapter 83- Infiltration
Chapter 83- Infiltration
The location I was given by Miyuri was a big apartment situated in the heart of Tokyo.
Naturally, I couldn't run thirteen kilometers without looking suspicious that's why I took a cab.
While I was in the car I received a call from Shiori,
[Where are you? Mom is getting worried.]
It was rare for her to call me. It means that either Mom is seriously mad at me or was it that Shiori was worried for me?
I didn't need to think closely to realize what was the case,
"Nee-chan, I am in high school and can take care of myself. I am currently with my friends and will return home a little late. Please don't wait for me for dinner."
She remained silent for a moment and I patiently held the phone. I knew she had been quite conflicted about her feelings toward me these days. For someone who has presented herself in front of her brother, only to get rejected...indeed, she had more than enough reasons to feel this way.
We decided to take baby steps and start dating so Shiori could get rid of the lingering feelings she still feels for her ex. However, until now we have mostly acted like siblings, around each other.
'Now that I think...I should take her on a date soon...' Since the situation at school has now stabilized, I can skip classes once in a while.
[Minoru...I will be waiting for you so come back as soon as you can.]
*Tak*
The call was disconnected. It was given that she didn't want to hear my response and forced her decision on me. But I didn't feel annoyed because of it. If anything, I was smiling like a fool while staring at the mobile screen.
But I soon had to take my eyes off the screen before I looked into the mirror and asked the driver, "Can you focus on the road?"
"Ah, sorry!" The young man exclaimed in surprise before he finally focused on the road and fastened the car.

'Hmm...' Reaching the apartment I realized two things:
First, this apartment wasn't shared by many people but was owned by a single entity.
Second, to enter the building I would need a security badge or sort.
The people around the entrance and those inside the building were wearing black suits and had their eyes protected with glasses. Typical bodyguard attire.
Although I knew that Naoko was sold into some kind of underworld organization, I didn't know the organization would be on this level.
'...how come such people come in his contact?' I decided to ponder on this later.
Looking at one of the security guards exiting the building I began following him.
I was wearing a long hood that hid my face and turned myself a little burly as well, in case my image got caught on CCTV, it couldn't be used as evidence.
Stalking the man, I entered the nearest eatery which was named 'Fine Dine'.
I kept my distance from the man and only entered inside after some seconds of interval.
"....just don't make it long."
Just as I entered, I heard the person from behind the counter, saying something to the security guard. Since the restaurant was mostly empty I knew he was calling out for my target.
The said target waved his hand to the receptionist before he headed toward the washroom.
I looked around a bit before following him inside...
....only to realize how I was underestimating my target until now.
"Hands up and don't move." I did as he said and raised my hands above my head.
The security guard whom I was following had a revolver pointed at me—signifying that he noticed my presence a while ago.
Well, what can I say? Something to be expected from a man in this job?
"Who the fuck are you? Remove the hood!"
I smirked and did as he said.
"Huh?!" The man exclaimed as the face he saw beneath the hood was a mirror reflection of his own.
Seizing the opportunity I used my telekinetic arms to snatch the gun from the man.
"Ehhh?" In shock, he turned toward his left to ascertain what had just taken his weapon away.
'I was overestimating him...' For a guard who was comforting an assailant, he should have always kept his eyes on his enemy.
Well, I wasn't going to lecture him about it or anything as I marched toward him and pressed my fingers against his head.
The sudden rush of memory tampering rendered him unconscious within half a second.
"Nice." The initial problem I had with memory manipulation which caused my targets to faint, was now a kind of skill for me.
Lifting the man while using my telekinetic arms I placed him inside one of the stalls and changed myself entirely into his get-up.
Once done, I read the man's memories and realized that the restaurant owner was also someone from the organization. And if I or this guard doesn't show up within two minutes, many more people will be sent inside to apprehend me.
'It's good that I changed my appearance before coming here...' Although I came here to save Naoko, I wasn't going to leave any traces behind and allow these people to chase me.
Once I was done, I exited the water closet and glanced at the receptionist.
"Third stall. Keep it until the next order."
The receptionist nodded without query before I made a swift exit from the eatery.
"Haah...it was quite an experience..." Although I acted tough, I was extremely scared inside.
After all, this was the first time I was pointed at by a gun. It was given that I would be nervous to find myself in an unexpected situation.
But thankfully everything went fine.
I returned to the apartment building, punched the lock keys near the entrance, and had my badge verified through a machine before I was allowed to enter.
The people around me had guns and rifles. Any moment notice of suspicion and they would pounce on me.
Well, under normal circumstances I wouldn't mind an orgy, but these guys wouldn't jump on me to make love. As such I needed to remain cautious.
Just as I was about to enter the elevator, someone called me from behind,
"Are you going upstairs?"
I was surprised, not because I was called out but because the voice was familiar
Turning around, I found my eyes slightly bulging,
'Satomi?!'
