Chapter 19- Trip

Why did I kiss Koori when the seduction process was going so smoothly, you ask? 

In the entire seventeen years of my life, I have been left alone. Mom and Dad were busy in their worlds. My sister never considered me as a part of her family and later when she grew up, her connection with the people living along with her in the same house, began falling apart.

This time I was a little surprised but I accepted her advances passionately by pressing my lips and this time I didn't hold back. I cupped her cheeks and pulled Koori to my lap.

I had the perfect chance to make her mine today, but I hesitated and now she was back with her boyfriend. Well, can't say I was feeling bad about it since I didn't want to hurt Koori 

'And in the first place...the revenge would taste sweeter if Koori gets snatched away while they still are in a healthy relationship...' I couldn't help smirking at that thought.

Opening the door, I found a package resting there. Picking it up I went inside the washroom before conjuring some clothes for myself.

After taking out the new clothes from the bag I placed Koori's slightly wet clothes she was wearing previously, inside of it before making my way back to the bedroom. 

Since she still was on the call, I placed the bag and her new clothes on the bed, and after waving at her with a smile I was about to walk out. Since the plan with this face had already failed, there was no point remaining here.

However,

"Wait." Koori suddenly held my wrist with a firm grip and soon disconnected the call even though I could hear Naoko's voice from the other end.

I raised my brows in questioning which was soon answered, 

"Why are you leaving without a bye?"

I blinked in surprise before responding, "I mean...weren't you talking to an important person there?"

"So does that make us strangers again?"

....now this was something I never anticipated.

In the end, Koori gave me a tight hug and her phone number and told me to call her when I had time.

'It was a fun trip...and surprising in many ways...' Walking back home nearly at seven, I couldn't help muttering under my breath. 

I mean, who knew my pure and innocent crush could give a stranger her number and plea to be in touch even though she already had a boyfriend?

[I think she is rather interested in you as a person, Host.]

'I guess so...' I couldn't help sighing when that thought passed my mind. I mean I didn't want to form any serious relationship with anyone as of now, since behind the facade they would fall in love with, there would always be this loser me.

I wasn't self-deprecating but, rather thinking rationally. 

"Hmm?" When I neared my home, I noticed there was a car parked by the fence and because of the number plate, I could tell this was a rental car.

Confused, I walked inside the house and found my parents standing there.

"Ah, Minoru! Where were you? More than that, just get inside your room and get changed immediately. "

Mom panicked which made me surprised slightly as I asked soon after, "But why? What happened all of a sudden?"

"Your father's train was canceled so he is going by car and since the route is quite dangerous to Kyoto, I want you to go with him as well."

I raised my brows before tilting my head toward Dad, with a teasing smile forming on my lips,

"Oh, so it's just Mom who wants me to go on this trip?"

Dad narrowed his eyes at me wordlessly but from just the movement of his adam's apple, I could tell how thirsty he was.

I grinned before skipping my way toward my room.

Two nights and one day trip with my lovely dad was just plainly too exciting.

'It feels like I am going on a honeymoon~'
