Chapter 76: Valenzia Region’s Adventurer Academy Competition Begins!
Shye was quite happy after earning 320 points from the duel three days ago. Although 320 system points aren't that much, it was enough to increase his attributes by a few points.
Although it was highly unlikely that he would have to fight in the competition, he had to make preparations just in case.
After spending all the points he earned from his duels against Havan and Bernard, Shye looked at status and nodded in satisfaction

Shye doubted that he would be able to win but he was fairly confident that he could put up a fight against the third-year or fourth-year students and not embarrass Colzen Academy.
Finally, after a few more minutes, Dean Snowcrest ordered the instructors to call the representatives and the companion students, then, once everyone was ready, they left the inn and headed towards the enormous arena in the middle of Valenzia City.
Upon arriving, Dean Snowcrest immediately showed the guards the appropriate paperwork and led Colzen Academy's group toward their respective seats.
Shye was awestruck again after seeing how enormous the arena was. There were hundreds of small battle stages and four medium-sized stages surrounding a single huge stage in the middle of the arena.
As you progress through the competition, your academy gets to fight on bigger stages, gain the attention of the audience, and make your academy even more famous to attract more talent in the future.
After an hour of waiting, Valenzia Region's most famous MC, Ivy Collins, walked up the center stage and announced the start of the Adventurer Academy Competition.
Unlike the competitions inside their academy, there was a designated holographic bracket board for every academy wherein the representatives would be able to see the academy that they would be fighting next.
In addition to this, the holographic bracket board automatically updates every time an academy advances deeper into the competition.
The setup for each academy was, that the companion students of each academy were assigned to sit directly behind their representatives, however, they were seated in the audience's seats while the representatives had designated academy stations inside the arena, beside the small stages.
Although the academy station assigned to Colzen Academy was mediocre, they had no right to complain because ranks decide everything. If they want fancier and eye-catching stations next year, they have to achieve a higher rank in this year's competition.
Finally, after all of the representatives, instructors, and deans had settled down at their designated academy stations, the holographic bracket boards lit up and displayed the current competition bracket.
Dean Snowcrest's brows furrowed upon seeing that they were in bracket D together with Aslan Academy and Shadowglade Academy.
If nothing goes wrong and they manage to win their first three matches, then they would have to face Shadowglade Academy and win before they could get a spot in the top 64 but unfortunately, if they want to progress further and achieve the top 32, they have to fight against Aslan Academy and win.
Dean Snowcrest and the instructors were fairly confident in the abilities of the current batch of representatives. They knew that their current representatives rivaled the talents of the previous golden generation who managed to get a spot in the top 64.
However, although they were fairly confident that they could fight toe-to-toe against the Shadowglade Academy this year, Aslan Academy is an entirely different matter.
Unless the current batch of Aslan representatives were among the most incompetent batches in the history of their academy, Colzen Academy would find it difficult to win against them.
After a few more minutes, the staff member who was assigned to assist the Colzen Academy's representatives walked closer and told Dean Snowcrest that it was time for their first match.
Dean Snowcrest gave Shye and the other representatives a deep look and said
"Go, the entire Colzen City is behind you, fight to your heart's content, and don't leave any room for regrets!"
Shye and the other representatives looked at Dean Snowcrest and nodded with a determined look before following the staff member towards the designated stage of their first match.
