Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 179: Wiped Out

"Shit! How could these bastards be so fast in killing such a monstrosity?!"

A Kossin representative cursed.

Although they were doing good themselves, probably the best start they ever had when hunting such a large creature, they were still way behind compared to the Colzen representatives who seemed to give zero damns about the creature's strength, one of them even daring to fight it head-on.

Unbeknownst to them, although the Colzen Orc Captain looked like it would collapse any moment now, its wounds were far from taking its life any time soon.

It was beyond tough and as bloodied as it was, the wounds were simply superficial to the creature.

Unfortunately, the Kossin representatives were rattled by its heavily-wounded appearance and some of them started doing things that weren't in the battle plan, taking bigger risks and improvising on the fly, causing their formation to slowly collapse.

To make things worse, the Kossin representatives didn't have the same opinions and approach to deal with Colzen's ridiculous killing speed.

Some of them believed that it would be better to continue the execution of their initial plan because improvising on the fly was too risky and they might even be wiped out for doing so.

However, some also believed that they should take a risk or they would lose to Colzen in terms of killing speed.

Both sides had logical reasoning but the differences in mentality made their team chemistry collapse.

Finally, after a few more risky maneuvers, the fears of the conservative side came true.

"Jones! Fall back! "

The scout representative named Jones took the risk and attacked a few more times than usual resulting in the orc captain's battle axe slashing him in half as he retreated.

If the hunt wasn't simulated, Jones would've been dead.

Fortunately, the mana coating simply sent him out of the main stage which was way better than being sent to the netherworld.

"Why?! Why didn't they stick to the plan?!"

The dean of Kossin Academy raged, he couldn't accept losing this way. It would be better to lose by time difference than by party wipe.

Unfortunately, his two warrior representatives weren't strong enough to hold the frontline as none of the two could face the orc captain in a head-on clash.

Hence, their formation slowly started to collapse as the orc captain viciously brandished its giant battle axe toward the remaining Kossin representatives in a destructive rampage.

The warrior representatives tried to contain the orc captain for as long as possible but narrowly dodging its blows slowly gnawed at the courage in their hearts.

Finally, after a few more minutes of valiant struggles, one of the warriors was overwhelmed by the orc captain's onslaught and was slashed in half.

The familiar azure ray shot out from the dome, leaving only five more Kossin representatives inside.

In contrast, the Colzen party was cruising.

Blood splashed everywhere as Shye, Ian, and Siegfried took turns containing the orc captain, allowing someone else to freely inflict wounds on the creature, slowly but surely whittling down its vitality.

As for the ranged attackers, they were chilling at the backlines, shooting projectiles continuously without worrying about repercussions as their skilled front liners successfully kept the orc captain at bay.

A world of difference compared to the pitiful state of the Kossin representatives.

'Crap! Crap! I knew we should've stuck to the plan!'

The remaining Kossin warrior representative inwardly cursed, his sweat splashing everywhere as he desperately dodged the orc captain's strong and swift attacks.

Unfortunately, try as he might, there was no way for him to contain the orc captain alone and although the orc captain found it difficult to kill the last warrior representative, it was the backliners who suffered.

As the warrior representative deftly escaped a fatal strike, his forced retreat allowed the orc captain to aggress the mages and archers, throwing the entire back line into chaos.

The mages and the archers had repositioning skills so they managed to temporarily escape the orc captain's onslaught but the priest representative wasn't so lucky.

His azure mana roots didn't do a single damn thing to the monstrosity while his barrier got destroyed in a single hit.

Subsequently, once he was out of protective skills, the priest representative was sent out of the arena by the familiar azure ray of light as the orc captain split his simulated avatar vertically in half.

The simulated death of their allies gnawed at the remaining representatives' morale.

Remembering that if this was the real deal, then it meant that three of their allies had just been killed.

Seeing your members fall one by one –an absolute nightmare for adventurer parties

Their temporary lapses of focus ultimately cost them the match as the remaining four were gradually eliminated one by one.

Kossin's strongest representative, the remaining warrior, valiantly threw everything he had at the orc captain, unleashing every hidden skill in his arsenal in hopes of taking down the orc captain alone.

Unfortunately, his efforts were futile.

Although able to bring the orc captain to half of its entire vitality, his lone strength wasn't enough, and soon after he used up everything he had, the last representative of Kossin Academy was sent out of the blue dome.

'Hmm…a pity that my hometown academy wasn't able to win.' A young well-built woman from the crowd mused, closely observing the current match. 'Well, that warrior from the Colzen is using my crafts so this isn't so bad.'

Unbeknownst to Shye, he already managed to capture the attention of her favorite blacksmith.

Still, Meido was quite a prideful young blacksmith so she planned to observe a bit more.

'He's quite a good candidate, quite…handsome as well. If he does my crafts justice in the following matches then I shall consider partnering up with him.'

While the orc captain annihilated the entire Kossin party, the Colzen party succeeded in defeating their monstrous adversary.

A stark contrast of results.

As the Colzen representatives gloriously descended from the stage, they were met with deafening cheers, sending waves of jolly emotions in their hearts.

[Congratulations! You've earned 32,621 points!]

Never in the deans' wildest dreams did they expect to one day finally become one of the top four academies.
