Chapter 176: Partnership Deal
A puzzled, slightly scared expression appeared on Wdy's face.
Taking a few steps back, her brain's initial response was to run away as she didn't want to talk to these weird strangers who specifically asked for her.
However, just wh she was about to sneak away, Dean Privett grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer to the people from Gold Wing Spellcaster Shop.
She tried to subtly struggle with an awkward expression on her face but how could she escape from an ex-diamond-ranked advturer like Dean Privett?
"No worries" replied Dean Privett with a wide smile on her face, "We still have an hour and a half of lunch break so you can have a quick talk with Wdy."
Hearing the Dean's words, Wdy felt that she had be sold off to hooligans.
She shot a pitiful look towards Shye, asking for help. Her way off the mark alarm bells ringing at maximum output inside her head.
Archpriest Deo told her to never talk to strangers so somehow, she convinced herself that talking to these strangers would be the d of her.
Seeing Shye's confused reaction to her plea, she couldn't help but miss the archpriest who she didn't know would do the same thing as Dean Privett upon countering these people from the promint sorcery shop.
With the same ice-cold look she always had, Wdy inwardly despaired, resigning herself to fate as she decided to face her fears of talking to the weird strangers.
"Hello Wdy Primrose, correct?" The middle-aged woman, leader of the weird strangers, said with a creepy smile on her face, at least that's what it looked like to Wdy. "I'm Hela Claus, head of the rookie partnerships departmt of Gold Wing Spellcaster Shop. Have you heard of it?"
Having not heard of the goddamned shop, Wdy panicked. However, the archpriest told her that lying is bad so although she felt nervous, she mustered up her courage and told the truth.
"N-No…I apologize." Wdy replied, "I hav't be out of the monastery much so…"
"Oh, that's completely understandable. After all, I've be through the same thing." Hela said with a warm smile on her face.
Hearing the middle-aged woman's compassionate words, Wdy started to think that these strangers might not be so evil after all.
After a few seconds of awkward silce, Hela once again oped her mouth and spoke.
"I also understand that since you're from the monastery, talking to some weird stranger like me must be one of the most horrifying things to you as I've once felt the same. However, I'm not here to hurt you in any form or way so please hear me out."
"I'm here to offer you a partnership deal."
Hearing Hela's words, the eyes of the other represtatives, including Shye's, wided in a mix of surprise and a bit of vy.
They didn't expect that it would be Wdy who would land a partnership deal first.
Still, they were happy for her.
Albeit a little awkward to talk to, Wdy was a good girl with a pure heart. So pure that David didn't dare tarnish it anymore with his cheap words of admiration.
In the d, the partnership offer from Gold Wing Spellcaster Shop made Shye and the others more determined than ever.
They wanted to land at least one rookie partnership deal for themselves be it from a blacksmith or a promint shop.
Thus, with focused looks on their faces, the represtatives tried to learn everything they could from Wdy's partnership offer.
"A…partnership deal? What's that? D-Do I perhaps owe you something?" Wdy asked with a slightly trembling voice. The touch of inappropriate horror in their voice almost made Shye and the others slam their heads on the nearest wall.
This girl was truly clueless.
In contrast to the represtatives' reaction, Hela merely smiled at Wdy and patitly explained what a partnership deal was.
"Rest assured, you do not owe us anything. A partnership deal is an agreemt where two parties, namely the rookie advturer and the shop, officially partner with each other to provide mutual befits to each other, helping both parties grow."
"Oh, I see…" Wdy said, a slightly confused look still plastered on her face, "I would love to help you if I could but I don't think that I have the capability to do that…"
"Oh, but you do."
"I…do?"
"Yes, not now, but in the future wh you become a promint advturer."
"But how could you be so sure that I would be one?"
"We're not tirely sure…but we're choosing to invest in your skills. We saw your match earlier and I gotta say, that barrier…I've never se anything quite like it from others your age. Hce, we're offering you a partnership deal. You shall represt our brand and only our brand in the future in exchange for a lot of befits."
Hearing the last few words from Hela's mouth, Wdy's eyes sparkled. The initial feeling of apprehsion–gone like the wind.
"B-Befits? W-What befits do I get for represting your brand? And does it mean that I can't purchase items from other shops?"
A shadow of a crafty smile appeared on the corners of Hela's mouth upon seeing that Wdy seemed to be hooked after hearing the word befits, just like every other rookie advturer.
This is the reason why shops td to extd partnership deal offers to upcoming rookie advturers to secure them early on.
Though the terms would change as the advturer grows in value, it is of little consequce to the shop.
In fact, they would like to see the advturer grow in value because the more promint the partnered advturer became, the greater their pottial for increased sales.
"You would still be able to purchase from other shops but it wouldn't be as beficial compared to buying from the shop you represt."
"Because aside from five thousand silver coins a month, we would also be providing you with equipmt of your choice once every three months. On top of that, you will be getting a thirty perct discount every time you buy in our shops."
"What do you say?"
