Chapter 102: Blessing of Lesser What?
Shye enthusiastically looked around the periphery of Colzen Monastery.
Meanwhile, the other priest/priestess students looked at him with intrigue.
They knew that he was wearing the outfit of a warrior student from Colzen Academy and they were curious as to why he was invited by the archpriest to enter the monastery.
There weren't any holographic televisions or any mana-powered devices inside Colzen Monastery so this was the first time they saw a student from Colzen Academy.
Due to this encounter, the freshmen, sophomore, and junior priest/priestess started to daydream about their adventurer life in the future where they would be free and not stuck inside the monastery like this.
Finally, after around fifteen minutes of walking, the two of them arrived in front of the blessing chamber.
'Oh? This chamber is quite small.'
Shye thought to himself as he followed Archpriest Deo inside.
Unbeknownst to him, blessing chambers were expensive to build because not only were the specific materials hard to find, but the chamber itself needed to be built by experienced carpenters who trained inside a monastery for at least two years.
Currently, the blessing chamber they were in was a tier 2 blessing chamber which was obviously not the most ideal blessing chamber. However, this chamber was all Colzen City could afford.
Fortunately, a tier 2 blessing chamber is more than enough to bestow a lesser blessing to a person.
"Crowley, please step inside the blessing circle and wait for me for a few moments while I retrieve a permanent blessing scroll of lesser intelligence."
Shye gave a slight bow to Archpriest Deo to acknowledge his words before walking towards the blessing circle in the middle of the small blessing chamber.
In his heart, Shye couldn't help but hate the name of the blessing that would be bestowed upon him.
First, he didn't know if the intelligence attribute would benefit him as a warrior, and second, a blessing of lesser intelligence…sounded like it would only make him stupider.
Still, a permanent blessing is a permanent blessing and the more blessings he has, the stronger he will become.
His thoughts were cut short as Archpriest Deo emerged from the scroll room and walked towards him.
The archpriest then placed the permanent blessing scroll of lesser intelligence in its designated spot in the blessing circle before activating it using his life staff.
*SHING*
After a few seconds, a bright blue light emerged from the blessing circle and enveloped Shye as the blessing bestowment process began.
Although it looked like Shye was being obliterated by the light, he was in fact, very comfortable inside the blessing circle as a crest of lesser intelligence was slowly engraved on his back.
Naturally, Shye didn't know this. He thought that there was no way for other people to know how many blessings he got but unfortunately for him, each blessing would engrave a very small crest on his back.
However, the crests were as small as a mung bean so other people wouldn't really notice it at first glance even if they somehow saw his back.
Finally, after around ten minutes, the blessing bestowment process ended and a small crest resembling a raven was engraved on his back.
Once the blessing bestowment process was done, Archpriest Deo walked closer to Shye and said:
"Again, thank you for helping Wendy. I hope that this permanent blessing will aid you in your future endeavors."

After a few more pleasantries with Archpriest Deo, Shye left the monastery with a huge smile on his face.
He then dropped by the Materials' Motherland to sell his loot for 250 silver coins before excitedly heading towards Hephaestus Armaments to enchant one of his greatswords.
"Hello, welcome to Hephaestus Armaments! Oh? Sir Crowley, we've got some new weapons in stock. Would you like to see them?"
Upon arriving, Shye was enthusiastically greeted by Shopkeeper Jericho.
"Hello, Shopkeeper Jericho. I'll check out the new items next time but for now, please check these out."
Shye replied with a smile as he took out five pieces of lesser enchantment jades that he got from the Jadepaw Grizzly's lair.
"Oh? Are you here to enchant your weapon?" Shopkeeper Jericho asked upon seeing the lesser enchantment jades.
"Yes, I would like to enchant this weapon please"
Shye said as he took out his gold-tier greatsword, Daybreak.
The reason why he chose to enchant Daybreak was because once you enchant a weapon, there is no way to remove or upgrade the enchantment.
Shye felt that it would be too much of a waste to enchant an exotic weapon like the Nightbringer, which was given to him by Dean Snowcrest, using a simple lesser enchantment jade.
There were many enchantment gemstones of various qualities and effects so he would at least like to find a slightly higher quality gemstone with a rarer effect before enchanting his Nightbringer.
Still, this simple lesser enchantment jade costs at least 250 coins each and was out of reach for ordinary adventurers who are only earning enough for accommodation and food.
Since five gemstones were needed to enchant a weapon, an enchantment of the most basic type would cost around 1400 to 1600 silver coins including the service fee.
Naturally, the higher the grade of the gemstone, the more difficult the enchantment process was so the service fee also increases accordingly.
"Since Sir Crowley already has the gemstones, you only have to pay for the service fee of 200 silver coins."
Shye was pretty happy with the price Shopkeeper Jericho gave him so he took out a coin sack which contained the 250 silver coins he got from selling his loot and handed it over to Jericho.
"Here's 250 silver coins, please take it as a token of gratitude from me for always letting me browse around the shop." Shye sincerely said with a smile on his face.
Shopkeeper Jericho didn't stand on ceremony and received the sack of 250 silver coins with a smile on his face. He truly liked having a transaction with Shye because he was always straightforward and pleasant to talk to.
"Thank you for the tip of fifty silver coins, Sir Crowley. The enchantment process will be finished by early morning so you can come and retrieve your weapon at around 8 AM"
After a few pleasantries, Shye excitedly left the shop and headed straight to his dormitory.
It was finally time for him to browse the system and purchase his first talent.
