First Demonic Dragon

Chapter 713: Where’s He Going??

"So, does anyone want to tell me why my big baby and my little baby are out here causing rampant destruction and panic among our people?"

Thea and Bash sat side by side as Valerie continued to repair the messy world they broke.

She didn't actually have to do this, as Tehom would repair itself on it's own within a few hours, but she was quite honestly tired of looking at it.

"W-Widespread panic is a bit of a stretch, don't you think, Ma?" Thea said bashfully.

"Don't underestimate our people's senses or your baby brother's power, Thea. Even though you guys came all the way out here, they still know something is going on. Eris is calming their nerves as we speak."

Valerie finished rebuilding the mountain her kids destroyed and put out the last of the fires.

Once she was done, she went back to sit with her son and daughter to get to the bottom of the incident.

"Alright, cuties, out with it. Even accounting for the fact that it was you two, this was a bit extreme."

"W-We were just having a little exerci-"

"Thea Nicole. Are you about to lie to me?"

Thea lowered her head as she continually stole glances at Bashenga.

"Alright. It's your turn, little man." Valerie said.

Back in his baby form, Bashenga sat with his arms folded and his usual superior posture.

"… Sister was upsetting me. I temporarily lost my temper as a result."

"M-Me?!"

"Yes, you."

"It's not my fault you never learned how to apologize to anyone in your bajillion years of life!"

"I am a god among gods, Thea! I had no need to waste my time on-"

"Alright, that's enough." Valerie covered both of her children's mouths and brought their arguing to a swift close.

"Let's try to remember that the two of you aren't enemies. You're brother and sister now. That means you have to make an effort to understand each other without bashing each other's brains in."

Valerie slowly removed her hands from the mouths of her children.

"Now, why don't you all tell me what started this. In an orderly manner this time."

Heeding her mother's advice, Thea simply stared at her brother and waited for him to speak up.

"…" Even though Bashenga was rather hesitant at first, he eventually ended up confessing to his mother everything that'd happened the day before with Abaddon.

When Valerie realized that this was about a particular subject concerning her husband's past, she immediately grimaced.

"Of course this had to be about that… We should've known when he started acting strange last night that something like this was going on."

Abaddon is usually quite the open book when it comes to his wives, but the mention of one particular subject has a bad tendency to make him shut down.

When he decided to go to sleep early last night after the party, the girls were suspicious but didn't press him very hard to figure out what was wrong.

They told themselves that he was just overly burnt out from too much socializing. Which quite honestly would not have been out of character for him.

"…I was unaware that my choice of words would cause him to experience such unpleasant memories." Bash confessed.

Valerie sighed a bit as she ran her fingers through his hair. "Honestly, it's not entirely your fault. Your daddy just has his own issues with people who don't treat children well."

"Could you please not refer to him as that..?"

"Well he's my daddy too, but I usually only say that when I've had too much to drink."

Thea physically recoiled while Bash simply shook his head in disappointment.

"D-Don't give me that, you two! You should be glad that you have twelve parents who all love each other."

"I am, i just wish you all wouldn't scar me for life everytime you got the chance…" Thea complained.

Valerie rolled her eyes as she went back to coaxing Bashenga.

"Look, baby boy. Your dad likely isn't upset with you or anything like that. He just doesn't like people who don't take care of their children.

But he knows that you were a different person back then compared to the one that he is trying to raise you to be. He wouldn't hold that against you."

Valerie tiled her head back and let her eyes rest as if she were still tired.

"Actually, if I'm honest I think your dad may be more upset with himself than he is with you."

"Himself? Why?"

"Well, he's got a lot of responsibilities and stuff on his shoulders already. He probably sees the fact that this particular subject still gets to him as a weakness. Especially with all he has become."

Valerie lifted Bash onto her knee and gave him a small kiss on the forehead. He wasn't a fan of it, but by now he was no longer trying to fight her off either.

"Regardless, I still think it's very sweet of you to be concerned about making amends with your father.

It shows that you're not as curmudgeonly of a god as you like to make yourself seem. Though we already knew that.."

Bash sort of rolled his eyes and Thea nodded her head victoriously.

"I'm sure you're having a lot of new feelings and things that you never thought to consider before now and it's very difficult for you.

But I promise your dad doesn't need some overly thoughtful, drawn out apology. Just go and talk to him before it is too late. He'll understand what's on your heart."

"Too late? Why would you say that??" Thea asked nervously.

"Calm down, Goldilocks." Valerie chuckled. "Your father's decided that he wants to go to hell today. He's going to get your sister."

-

"Isn't this a bit too sudden for you to be going somewhere so dangerous?" Nyx asked.

This was one of the rare occasions where she had successfully snuck into the Tathamet bedroom and wasn't about to be kicked out.

This could only be a testament to the fog clouding Abaddon's mental state, as he normally would have kicked her out by now.

"Sudden..? It might be, I'll admit it. But I don't want to wait any longer either… turn around. And close your perception."

Nyx rolled her eyes and turned to face the dresser while Abaddon, Sif, Seras, and Lillian pulled off their clothes and began changing.

"Are you sure you don't want me to come with you? It never hurts to have an extra hand."

"Thank you, Nyx, but this is a family thing. I couldn't involve you. Besides, the Euphrates and the Black Legion are more than enough."

"…You wouldn't be burdening me, you know. Are we not like family already?"

Abaddon faltered. "We are, but…

Nyx recognized the difficulty in Abaddon's voice and she decided not to press him any further.

"Fine, fine. You can do your whole lone wolf thing and continue to leave me on the outskirts.."

Nyx started to leave in a huff when Abaddon suddenly placed his hand on her shoulder.

She turned around and found Abaddon still shirtless, but wearing his dougi pants with the red belt Demeter gave him.

His skin was its prior soft brown color and his hair had returned to it's full red. The eye in the middle of his forehead burned with a light that almost made it difficult to look into.

"Why the change of skin? …Not that I'm complaining."

Sif / Seras / Lillian: """Watch it, bitch."""

Nyx glanced beyond Abaddon and licked her lips at the sight of the half dressed women. "Aww, don't be jealous. Big Mama's got enough love for you three too."

Abaddon flicked the overtly playful woman in the middle of the head. "We can do without your love, you deluded geriatric."

Nyx pouted and rubbed the spot Abaddon flicked.

"Lucifer has been isolated in hell with no idea of what's been going on outside. I want him to actually recognize me when I kick down his door and turn his home to rubble."

Nyx nodded absentmindedly. "I see… Are you aware of the challenge before you? Lucifer is no less greater than I."

Abaddon snorted. "You bring up this description as if I am not your better?"

"So you think you can handle me? I'd like to see you make your best attempt at it."

"""NYX!!"""

The goddess blinked a few times and shook her head hard. "I swear to god that one just slipped out."

Sif created a mace made of ice.

"You know what? I can see that you all need some time together so I'll be taking my leave now."

Nyx started to make a hasty exit when Abaddon grabbed her by her skull once again.

"H-Hey! Why?!"

"Give." Was all Abaddon said.

"…"

Nyx reached inside of her pocket and pulled out a few pairs of dirty panties and boxers.

"…I was only going to wash them for you."

"Before or after you used them to-"

"J-Just take them!" Nyx tossed the fabrics at Abaddon's head and vanished into a cloud of black mist.

As if things couldn't get any more awkward, Valerie picked that moment to open the door with two of their kids in tow.

The first thing that Thea and Bashenga saw was an image of their father with his panties hanging off his horns like Christmas tree lights.

"…"

"…Perhaps we should have waited until he came back after all." Bash said.
