Chapter 479 The Start (1)
Chapter 479 The Start (1)
"Alright, they'll be back after three more days" Tom replied with a sigh of relief.
Three days later, Michael and the rest of the students of his team finally came back to the mainland, finally leaving behind their hellish days back on the island.
"We're finally back!"
"Finally free from that hell hole!"
"Oh my god, I can finally start playing Fate Online again!"
"Let's team up later, and let's raid some dungeon!"
"Alright, let's talk to each other through SNS!"
"Stop it! That's disgusting!"
"Shut up! You yourself should know how much we suffered while we were on that lsland!"
Though their faces were weary from the island experience, their faces immediately brightened up when the boat finally reached the port. One of the students was even so emotional that he started kissing the ground, which made the rest of his classmates wince at him with disgust.
"What about you Michael, do you want to team up with us?"
"Right, we've never really known what your name is in the game, how about adding each other?"
Some of his classmates approached Michael eagerly when they remembered that they never really teamed up with him in the game, and they were also eager to compare their levels when they finally add him.
While putting his luggage down, Michael thought about it for a second before saying, "Sure, why not? Just give me your Player IDs, and I'll add you when I get on"
"Nice! Don't worry, we'll help level up if your level is lower than us!"
"Shut up, with his skills in the real world, I'm pretty sure he's at least a little better than us"
"Please! Did you forget about that World Boxing Champion who really sucks at playing virtual games? He wasn't also the only one, there were also a few fighting athletes who never had success in virtual games"
Following that, his classmates gave their player IDs to Michael one by one, while the other like Matt and his friends just ignored the rowdy group and left for the bus first.
"Man, I'm never going to any school event similar to this kind of shit again," said one of Matt's friends as they boarded the school bus that came to pick them up.
"What about you, Chad? What are you gonna do after this? Are you gonna immediately go back to train?" his other dark-skinned friend said.
"No, did you forget that coach told us that we can have a week of a break after this MT ends?" Matt said with a suggestive smirk on his face.
When his friends saw it, all of them immediately figured it out and they all started getting rowdy in joy!
"Party! Let's immediately head back and start preparing for the party!"
"Oi! You guys outside, hurry up, and let's go! We're in a hurry!"
Of course, the students just ignored them since even Mr. Santos, their teacher, hasn't even said anything and is currently busy conversing with the instructors with such serious expressions on their faces.
'I wonder what they are talking about?' Throwing a glance at them from time to time, Michael thought while noting down the player ids of his classmates.
"Is this new reliable?" asked Mr. Santos with a grave tone.
"Yes, the mistress was already notified about this and has sent orders for us to stand by and not to make any move" the head instructor replied with the same expression on his face.
The news that startled Mr. Santos the moment they arrived at the port was about the forces under the six families and the Mine Tech Industries, more precisely the smaller ones have started to have head-on clashes just a few hours ago, and it even caused a few civilian casualties and even started to cause a little bit of panic among the people.
"What about the President? Any movements from their side?" asked Santos.
"Aside from them reminding both sides to keep it in the down low and keep civilian involvement as far away as possible? Nothing"
"That Krumpt! He's been benefiting a lot from the group, but he just keeps being a fence sitter!"
Hearing the conversation taking place among the instructors around him, Santos just shook his head and softly replied to them, "No, him not doing anything is actually helping us"
"How so?" asked the head instructor, a question that the others also want to know.
"The President not getting involved causes an invisible suppression over the opposition that supports the six families. After all, the politicians on their side takes a huge chunk of their overall power, but now, this group can only provide minimal support, which is a favorable situation for us since it had given us a slight advantage over them since those politicians would immediately be sniped by the Krumpt organization if they made a wrong move. This is killing two birds with one stone" said Mr. Santos after deliberating for a while to construct his words so that he can properly explain his opinion on the things happening.
"That makes sense"
Hearing his explanation, the instructors were finally enlightened, especially the one who complained about the President earlier.
"Wait, doesn't this mean that only the small fries get to have some fun?"
"Don't do anything rash, especially you Toby, this is a sensitive time"
"I know, I'm not dumb, and please, how long are you guys gonna keep calling me Toby!?"
"Until you stop causing trouble for us"
Soon, Mr. Santos and the instructors finally parted ways, and the former immediately went over to his students and said, "Good job enduring till the end, let's head back"
Shortly after that, the students slowly boarded the bus, and a few moments later, they finally departed, bringing with them memories they wouldn't forget.
After a few minutes on the road, a scene on the road ahead of them quickly attracted their attention.
"What's happening over there?" said the first student who was the first to notice the commotion happening ahead of them.
"Whoa, that's a lot of cops, I wonder what happened? Could there have been a police chase?"
"It's possible since that does happen quite often lately"
