Chapter 27
C27 – I Am the Best Doctor
Her legs instantly entwined around Mo Changyou’s waist, effectively immobilizing him.
Her cherry-red lips pressed firmly against Mo Changyou’s face.
The force of the impact sent Mo Changyou reeling backward, and he crashed heavily into a large tree.
He glanced at his chest where, even now, the white-clothed girl’s legs remained coiled around his waist.
Mo Changyou’s lips were nearly punctured by her aggressive kiss.
Her smooth, fragrant lips still clung to Mo Changyou’s mouth, nearly chipping his two front teeth.
She was lying completely on top of Mo Changyou, creating an exceedingly awkward situation between them.
“If you weren’t a descendant of White, I wouldn’t have even bothered to save you,” Mo Changyou murmured to himself, a wave of nostalgia washing over him as he remembered the little girl who once followed him around.
“I wonder if White has survived these 100,000 years,” Mo Changyou mused. White was a demon beast, whose lifespan far exceeded that of humans.
A Monarch’s lifespan was about 100,000 years during the Emperors’ Era, and even the most powerful Monarchs could live up to 200,000 years.
Of course, this excludes those who have lived for a million years, along with their disciples and kin.
When a demon beast ascends to the Monarch Stage, their lifespan can extend to several hundred thousand years, and the strongest among them can live for a million years. Despite the fractured environment and the decline in the cultivation conditions, demon beasts remain unaffected.
He looked down at the girl sprawled across him and gently laid her down.
The girl on Mo Changyou’s body had passed out from the severe explosion, with all her meridians shattered. In this remote area, there were few medicines capable of healing her.
Nevertheless, Mo Changyou had the means to revive her. He set the girl down and deftly pressed on several key points on her body, his knowledge of human acupoints unparalleled.
In all of Heavenly Martial Divine State, only one other could claim to be Mo Changyou’s equal.
Mo Changyou carefully loosened the girl’s garments, revealing the golden armor beneath. Without removing her clothes, his acupressure would be ineffective.
Only by pressing directly on her body could he hope to make a difference.
After Mo Changyou removed the girl’s clothing, his expression remained unchanged. He lightly tapped several points on her body. Suddenly, the girl coughed up a mouthful of congealed blood, and her previously lifeless form showed signs of vitality.
“Had you not collided with me, you would have been long dead,” Mo Changyou stated, before he redressed the girl.
Clearly, Mo Changyou harbored no inappropriate thoughts towards her.
He then began to channel his Spirit Energy into her, and slowly, she began to show more signs of life.
Roughly fifteen minutes later, the girl’s long eyelashes fluttered, and she opened her striking eyes.
“You’ve been injured by the Six-winged Lion King; three of your ribs are broken, and your meridians are in disarray. It would be best for you to remain lying down.” As the girl was about to survey her surroundings, she was captivated by the voice of a young man.
She had intended to express her gratitude, but then she noticed her clothing had clearly been tampered with.
Her relief at having survived was instantly replaced by fury.
How dare someone defile her?
“You despicable rake, you’re asking for death!” The girl lashed out with a fierce slap, her beautiful face seething with rage.
Mo Changyou effortlessly deflected the girl’s hand, responding calmly.
“You’re wearing a half-inch-thick suit of golden armor. How could I treat you without removing it? Moreover, I suggest you stay put and avoid moving. Half of your meridians are shattered, and your ribs are fractured. Any movement now will only slow down your recovery, foolish girl,” Mo Changyou chided her coolly.
“Foolish girl?” Tang Nuolan’s brow furrowed. He had the audacity to call her that?
In this empire, no one dared address her in such a manner.
“Firstly, my name is Tang Nuolan, not ‘foolish girl.’ Secondly, your assumption that I won’t heal quickly is a reflection of your limited insight. My status is beyond your comprehension,” Tang Nuolan retorted, giving Mo Changyou a dismissive glance.
Had he not saved her life moments earlier, she would have given him a piece of her mind.
Without delay, Tang Nuolan produced several pills, flaunted them before Mo Changyou, and then swallowed them.
“These pills are nearly miraculous, capable of reviving the dead. Even an Inscription Expert with grave injuries can regain over half their strength in no time. You’ve never seen pills as valuable as these, have you?” Tang Nuolan chuckled. To her, Mo Changyou was nothing more than a country bumpkin.
“Heavenly Flag Pill, Heavenly Fragrance Pill, Dragon Lotus Pill, and Cool Breeze Pill all serve to heal internal wounds, boost Spirit Energy, and purify the meridians. Do you honestly believe that just three Grade Four pills can facilitate your recovery so swiftly?” Mo Changyou said with a cold, dismissive laugh.
In that moment, Tang Nuolan was taken aback.
Because Mo Changyou’s words were spot on.
