Chapter 319 Date 3
As their day reached its end, Diana recalled the things she had done for the day.
"Hehe….It was good." She mumbled, giggling happily. "Even though things didn't go as its planned, it was quite good to see him in such a manner."
Right now, she was inside her room, thinking about the day. Even though she wanted to sleep in the same room with him, Callius refused, saying there was a line they couldn't cross.
That was true, but it still hurt her feelings slightly. It had been a while since she had such a peaceful and calm day. Her time in the academy could also be called calm, but there was something that was bothering her for a while which she didn't tell to Callius yet.
'Mother is putting much more pressure now.' It was the fact that Adelyn was putting pressure on her, trying to force her to spend time with that Elven bastard. She kept refusing, but she didn't know how much she could stall.
'Let's forget that for now; I need to prepare for tomorrow. It is when I will be striking.' She closed her head and started imagining the events in her head.
Diana was a smart girl, and there was a reason why she didn't directly attack Callius today. She wanted to observe the thing he had reacted to while he was with her, the things that could attract him, and the thing she could use as a weapon.
'I really didn't want to use this, but I guess I don't have a chance. Please forgive me, brother.'
Grabbing a small vial from her space ring, she looked into its contents.
'I love you; I love you so much. You will forgive me, right?'
With those thoughts, she started preparing herself for tomorrow.

"Wow…It had been a while since I had rested in such a manner." Callius said, looking at his body in front of the mirror.
"The temperament process is finished. Now, after Aliya readies everything, I can attempt the breakthrough." Just like that, he lay on the bed looking at the ceiling as he remembered the things he did with Diana.
'It was just as I expected; I feel comfortable around her.'
There was a reason why Diana was different from any other person around him. It was because she was the one that was with him when he needed someone, whether her intentions were pure or not.
Thus, she was the one that he could simply behave as he wanted in a way that he could release his desires.
Though Diana was not the only one, Callius had yet to realize it. Even though, when one simply said this to him, he would refuse, Aliya and Lirienne were also affecting how he behaved as well.
Callius could accept the fact that Aliya was his partner, but he would probably refuse if one said he was changing thanks to them. It was a matter of pride, which was one of the biggest things that defined him.
He was a person that hid his strength for efficiency and to have a card to play, but at the same time, he was a person that got mad at himself when he lost against a person with such clear advantages.
Even though he knew he would win, his obsession with being perfect refused him to accept this loss, which in the end, didn't make him any different from other people at all.
However, when he was with Diana, he didn't need to force things to be perfect since she was the one that had already done it for him. Since she knew how he wanted things to be, it was very easy for her to do such a thing.
He was a perfectionist, a person that liked art, be it music or painting, even if he was forced to.
"Sigh, how troublesome…." He mumbled to himself, lying on the bed.

As the new day was born, Diana and Callius continued spending time with each other for the whole Sunday. Since today was the last day Diana was going to have Callius with herself, she naturally wanted to make sure of everything.
Their first destination was a charming small city that was bustling with life and energy, thanks to an ongoing festival. Vibrant banners fluttered in the breeze, and the air was filled with the cheerful melodies of street musicians.
"Why did you choose here?" Callius asked, looking at Diana. The city they were in was a city he knew; after all, it was on the southern side of the Empire where he wandered as an adventurer.
"You will see, brother," Diana replied as she brought her body closer to him. Today she had been acting closer while pushing her body into him.
'It seems she doesn't want to spend today like the rest of the day.' He thought. 'Let's see what you have in your pocket.' With that thought, he adjusted his pace to hers and let her do as she pleased.
The scent of nature surrounded Diana, a fragrance that was as captivating as it was elusive. It was a scent that seemed to reflect her connection to the world around her, a quality that Callius had always found intriguing.
As they walked, Diana initiated the conversation, asking questions that delved into both their past and their present. It was clear that she was trying to create an atmosphere of openness and shared memories, and Callius found himself willingly participating.
'Let's make things a little hard for her. I wonder how she will respond.' He thought.
"Brother, do you remember the time we used to explore the forest near our home?" Diana's voice was soft, filled with nostalgia. "You were always so focused on finding rare herbs and magical plants."
"Indeed. At that time, there was nothing else I could do." He answered in a blunt tone, returning to how he usually behaved. "I wanted to create the perfect elixir to awaken myself."
The moment those words sank, the atmosphere between them got quiet since Diana knew what he meant by those words. He was referring to the time when he was getting targeted by the members of the house, both as a kid and as an heir.
She looked at Callius and saw his eyes burning as he gazed at the front. She knew she had made a mistake, but she also couldn't keep the atmosphere like that.
At that moment, something came to her rescue.
Step right up, young couple! Test your knowledge of each other and win a prize!" A loud voice of an old man echoed around as both of them turned their attention to the man.
Diana couldn't help but blush at the shop owner's assumption. However, Callius, who was trying to test Diana, didn't let her have the chance.
"We are n-"
However, Diana was quick to act.
"Oh, come on, br- I mean dear! Let's give it a try. It might be fun!" She stuttered for a second but corrected herself.
"Yes, yes, young man. Don't be picky."
Hearing the shop owner's voice, Callius looked at Diana, who was looking at him with a smirk.
'You win this time, little sister.' With that, he sat on the boot and looked at Diana.
"Wow, what a beautiful couple."
As the two were engulfed in their plays, the people that were walking around them turned their attention to them. The two were not wearing any disguise since this place was rather small, and nobody would probably know them.
Therefore, seeing two people at the pinnacle in terms of beauty attracted people's attention.
"Then, miss. Since you are this enthusiast, let's start with you." The shop owner said with a smile.
'Ah, I wish I was young too.' Thinking that, he asked the first question.
And, hearing this, Diana nodded her head behaving excitedly.
"All right, young lady, here's your first question. What is your partner's favorite color?"
Diana's gaze never wavered from Callius's face as she confidently answered, "Black, like a void."
The shop owner chuckled and moved on to the next question. Though, Callius' seemed a bit lost. 'That was to be expected, but she is trying to impress me, isn't she?'
"What is your partner's favorite food?"
"Roasted venison with wild mushroom sauce," Diana replied, her voice unwavering, as he gazed into Callius.
'Ho….She even remembers that.' Callius thought, reminiscing about the time when he had gone to a restaurant with Diana alone. There, he once talked about his favorite food, and it seemed Diana still remembered it.
Probably no one in this world aside from her knew about that.
The questions continued, and each one met with Diana's accurate and detailed responses. It was as if she held an intricate map of Callius's likes, dislikes, and experiences within her mind. The amusement in Callius's eyes grew as he observed Diana effortlessly answering questions that delved into his preferences, memories, and even his habits.
Some questions were so hard to answer that even the crowd surrounding them was looking at Diana with awe. They had never once seen a girl that was this devoted to her partner.
Finally, the last question arrived. "Tell me, young lady, what is your partner's dream?"
Diana's gaze softened, her expression becoming more serious. She looked at Callius, her eyes reflecting the depth of her understanding. "His dream is to stand on top of everything, to surpass all limitations, and to achieve a level of power that transcends even the highest peaks."
The shop owner nodded approvingly. "Very well answered, my dear. But, I wonder what is your dream then?"
The shop owner had already forgotten this was a game as he was captivated by the aura Diana was releasing.
"It is to stand in front of him on that peak where nobody else could stand. It is to become his world, where he could only look at me."
However, the moment those words left her mouth, everyone shut their mouth as they looked at the girl who was no longer savable.
