Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking

"Good morning everybody. I am Cedric Stormrider, the Sun Sage."

"All of you are hearing my voice right now because of an important development that will happen to our world."

"Simply put, Prime Earth is currently evolving. This process might cause some disturbances like earthquakes, tsunamis, storms, volcanic eruptions, etc. Additionally, please note that the Acala System will be inactive during this time as Acala, Prime Earth's spiritual consciousness and the real administrator of the system, is also affected by the world's evolution."

"Fret not, the world is under my watch. I won't let anybody die from a serendipitous event. Please bear with it because our world's evolution will only do us good in the long run. This disturbance is but a momentary thing."

"As for how long it will last, even I am not certain. But it shouldn't take more than two weeks of time."

"Please remain calm throughout this time. Stay with your loved ones if you have them. If you can't, then do your best to stay as relaxed as possible. I am watching over you all."

The voice of the Sun Sage was heard by everybody; his voice was projected to everybody's mind no matter where they were currently during the announcement.

None of them were expecting this. Some never even thought that the world can evolve, so this was certainly shocking for them.

Of course, this caused some panic amongst the people. Many were frightened at the prospect of numerous natural disasters occurring within this time period. However, there were a lot of people who put faith in the Sun Sage. He said that he's watching over them and won't let them die, and they believed him.

Understandably, the Federation was alarmed by this. It was evident that even they didn't know that this will happen. But before they themselves descended into the similar panic as the others were experiencing, Cedric already sent them a message:

"Keep calm, you people. You are from the federation; your mental fortitude must be stronger than this."

Just from those words alone, Cedric already took hold of the situation.

"I know that you all are surprised too since something like this should've been known to you beforehand. Unfortunately, this was an unexpected development even for me too. I wasn't expecting Prime Earth to evolve this soon."

"I knew that the world will evolve into a greater one someday, but definitely not this soon, so even I was surprised by this. That's why I was unable to inform you a lot as well, and you had to be surprised along with the others."

"All I can ask of you, as members of the federation, is to do your best to be calm and pacify the panic around you. I will be watching all of you throughout the evolution process, and you lot are responsible for the things that I might miss. It's not so easy to watch over billions of people all by myself, after all."

"Rest assured, Prime Earth and humanity will not fall while I am here."

"Oh, and also, I have returned everybody who's stationed at other planets here. They have to be here because there will be a blessing right after the evolution of the world. It would be a pity if they missed it because they're busy at work; they can just resume their task after the world's evolution passed."

That was the conclusion of Cedric's message to them, and it was enough for them to get their bearings.

It turns out that even the Sun Sage wasn't expecting this development to happen this soon either; that's why he could only do something without giving them a heads-up. Since there was a valid reason behind his actions, then none of them could truly blame him. Even if they wanted to, they are in no position to do since they're too weak to have a voice in front of him.

Cedric didn't tell them that the changes wouldn't just be limited to Prime Earth; they apply to the entire Solaris Prime due to its transfer within the Outer Circle of the alliance.

Some, especially those who are working to terraform other planets into a habitable world for humanity to live in, might discover some changes there as well.

Did he plan on telling them about this? Well, not really. Truth to be told, so what if they knew? In the end, what they must do doesn't change. They'd still need to terraform the other planets with or without the changes. They'd be delayed due to changes that will happen soon, but it's nothing worth stressing out for; they have time anyway.

The prospect of receiving a blessing after the world's evolution should be enough to keep them occupied for the time being. And this isn't a lie. There will, indeed, be a serendipitous blessing to all life within Prime Earth after the evolution.

It's the Origin Energy Rain all over again, but this one would be at least a hundred times better than that since not only was humanity the darlings of this world, but also because the evolution of the world is a very rare event that others might not never have the chance to experience ever again.

Furthermore, Cedric was here. He might be the only one who wouldn't receive that much benefit from the evolution of the world, but that doesn't mean that he couldn't make it more special.

A few hours after the announcement was made, the signs of Prime Earth's evolution began showing up.

So far, it's only limited to weak earthquakes here and there. But it's a sign nonetheless. The federal agents are already doing their best to pacify the public as much as they can at this time; they too are unaware of the real scale of this event, but they had to try nonetheless.

As days passed, the signs became more prevalent. The earth trembled, the skies darkened, and the seas began churning. It's like the world was sending out ominous signs of changing. It frightened many people, but most still believed that the Sun Sage was there for them.

And he was...

A lot of people could see him hovering above the skies. His appearance was like a beacon of light and hope in the dark times. It's a little dramatic since this isn't really an apocalyptic event, but hey, if it calms them down, then it's a useful misunderstanding.

By the end of the week, it was evident that the world was in chaos. The foretold earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and other things were happening all over the world.

The only reason why people haven't descended to mass hysteria yet was because Cedric remained true to his words.

His presence will be felt by anybody who is about to experience the terrible forces of nature. He will protect them from harm, rendering any accidents ineffective against his protection.

Signs of this could be seen all over the globe. It didn't matter where people were—on land or deep in the sea—so long as they're in this world, he can and will reach them. And isn't that just a comforting sight?

It's his work that reduced the crisis they were feeling. Knowing that a godlike figure was truly watching over them bolstered their faith that everything would be fine in the end.

And just like this, two weeks have passed...

Two days before the estimated period of the world's evolution, the signs were already dying down. By the end, all signs disappeared completely, and the world returned to its natural state. But of course, there were some visible changes.

No matter who it was, be it Cedric or a common civilian, you could tell that the world has changed.

Everybody felt like the world was more colorful, more vibrant, more alive, and more active than before. It was quite inexplicable, but it's beautiful. Then, on the dawn of the next day, the foretold blessings began.

It was unlike the Origin Energy Rain that required everybody to get out and be drenched in it. No, this one doesn't have any requirements like that.

The blessing was a breath—well, more like a breeze of air that swirled along the heavens and earth. It nourished and brought a refreshing change to anything it touched, and this change was on a genetic level.

This breeze passed through everything. It couldn't be stopped or trapped by any solid object, nor hindered by anything else.

Cedric discovered this breeze as soon as it appeared and has already made his move. With a flick of his sleeves, he controlled the power of laws and empowered this breeze, turning it more potent than it should've been.

Shortly after that, the breeze began circulating through the entire world. And suddenly, be it the young or the old, everybody fell into a deep slumber as earth-shaking changes occurred to them.

There were no exceptions to this aside Cedric himself. Even his wife and sons were affected by this as well.

The changes they're experiencing were incredible, so much so that their slumber may or may not last for more than a day. The length depends on their latent potential and their luck.
