Chapter 80 Call From Paris

CHAPTER 80

Rather than remaining there at the kitchen counter, thinking of her make-out with Liu Xueyi, Andromeda came down and got into her room.

Without being told, she too needed a bath to get her mind off things. It was a busy yet not-so-busy day for her.

About an hour later, she lay on her bed with the delicacies he bought her while her mind wandered to the fashion show.

That was a tasking work ahead plus she needed a big break and one she was grateful to have and for that, she needed to thank Liu Xueyi but now, she was behind schedule.

Her phone screen lit on, accompanied by a buzz, vibrating the bed beside her.

Picking it up, Andromeda's eyes landed on the number. It was a foreign number and that surprised her.

The creasing of her brows marred her face a bit, causing wrinkles to form on her forehead but after a few seconds, she answered the call and brought it to her ear.

"Hello?"

A deep sigh of relief was let out at the other end of the call, making her furrow deepen. Something was wrong and right at the same time.

It was as if the person had been trying to reach her and now that they did, there was joy.

"Hello, Andy," a masculine voice rang out from the other end.

Her eyes flew open almost instantly because of two things. One she recognized that voice anywhere and the other, that name. He was one of the few who addressed her with that.

"Andy, how are you?"

She gulped silently and sat up properly on her bed. "Are you there? Or did the cat catch my little baby's mouth?"

It took her a few more seconds before her brain seemed to catch on and shed away the initial shock.

"Tian… Hi."

"Finally. It took you long enough," the man let out with a chuckle.

Her head nodded into the phone as a wry smile fleshed out on her lips. "To what do I owe this pleasure, Xie Tian? It's been what? Five years?"

He sniffled in, drew a deep breath and responded calmly. "I am sorry baby, but I am back."

Her already dropping close eyelid, flew back up in shock. "B-b-back? Back as in, back?"

"Yes. Back, like back."

"When, where, how?"

"Soon." Her chest fell, heaving a soft sigh of relief and she too mirrored his breathing. "You had me there, you know and what was I expecting, considering I saw a different number. You are still in Paris."

"As a matter of fact yes. But I would be returning to China."

"No problem. How has everyone been? Your father, mother, and younger siblings?"

"You can well guess," Xie Tian replied. "They are doing good."

"Okay."

"And you? How is yours?"

"All good," she smiled at her white lie.

All good? There was nothing good about her and that family and just recalling the useless words her father had uttered, she gritted her teeth to suppress her anger while tightening her fist at her side.

"Andy?" She released the first deep breath, which was when she realized, she actually held her breathing.

"Are you alright, Andy?"

"Yes. I am. I am. Do not mind me. I had a bit of a day."

"I imagine it was stressful or brain turning, yeah."

"Tell me about it," she subconsciously mentioned as her mind once more invaded her head with the memory of when he first crashed his lips on her that afternoon, stealing her kiss momentarily.

She released a soft sigh and smiled.

"Andromeda," Xie Tian mentioned.

,m "Ah yes. This is the first time in seven years that you called my name. I thought you had forgotten."

"I could never forget it, come on give me benefit of the doubt here. Anyways, when I return, we would meet up and catch up, okay?"

"Sure. Thanks."

"Okay, talk to you later and please, do save my number," he pleaded with a soft chuckle.

"Huh, even when I did not know the caller just now, as soon as I heard your voice, I knew it was you. Now be such a darling and do not make fun of me."

"Alright then. Whatever you say. Bye."

"Bye." She ended the call herself and dropped her phone but not before placing it on airplane mode.

Right now she had so many thoughts running through her mind and did not want any disturbance.

There was Liu Xueyi and their kiss, Mo Feng Yi she needed to keep an eye on to avoid falling into any trap and now, Xie Tian?

To make matters worse, he was returning. As good as it was, she trembled from past memories.

'No, Andromeda. You are better than this. It was a past memory. Now, however, I think this is what I need to scale through this fashion week.'

The following day rolled on quickly and the two, Andromeda and Liu Xueyi did their best to stay out of each other's hair.

For one thing, she was glad it wasn't a Monday, else she wouldn't have been able to avoid him when it was time for morning briefing by all heads.

Due to that, she was saved from seeing him, which would end up in her being embarrassed.

Because of him, she wore a turtle neck white shirt to prevent anything concerning her skin from showing and the hickeys he succeeded to leave on her skin.

Later that day, Gu Jun placed a call through to her, asking if she was free and they placed a date that evening after work to hang out and eat.

While he gave that as an excuse, he still felt bad he had to ditch her the previous time because of work.

And Andromeda in her good graces was benevolent enough to forgive him and not make him suffer.

Not that she wouldn't, he guess he had to thank the fashion to for keeping her busy her brain could not cook up any punishment for him.

"Why are you smiling sheepishly?" Andromeda asked, narrowing her gaze at him.

"What do you think?"

"If I knew, would I ask you?" she fired quickly.

"Fine, geez. I was happy you won't punish me, that's all."

"Are you sure?"
