CHAPTER 541
"I got it first," a feminine voice rang out as she glared at Andromeda. Not being one to back down, Andromeda turned her gaze to the lady when a gasp fell off the latter's lips. "You!"
Seconds passed and Andromeda still didn't utter a word but glared daggers at the lady in question.
Once more, she was placed in a situation where she was intimated by the mere presence of the blonde-haired lady before her—Andromeda Kai.
"W-What are you doing here?" she questioned, hoping to act tough and not look weak before the shoppers around.
Andromeda scoffed, her eyes glancing over the lady from head to toe. When she brought them back to her face, she snickered. "I see the months haven't done your brain a favour huh, Mo Feng Yi?"
Mo Feng Yi fumed with untold rage as her brows creased, forming wrinkles on her forehead. Averting her gaze from Andromeda, she stared at the necklace set and then back at Andy.
"Back off. I'm getting these."
Andromeda arched a brow at her, wondering if something was wrong with her brain or not. By all rights, her hand had touched the glass casing first. How in heaven's name did she ever come up with such thoughts?
"You're clearly deluded, Mo Feng Yi. Fortunately, that doesn't come as a surprise to me."
"Andromeda Kai, I am warning you. One more insult and I'll…" She swallowed her next words when Andromeda closed the gap between them, her intimidating presence sending chills running down her spine.
"You'll what?" Andromeda dared. The intensity of her words left Mo Feng Yi speechless.
"What, can't speak? Did the cat get your tongue or something?"
While both ladies exchanged glances, with Andromeda having the upper hand thanks to her frightening aura, Png Xiaoli decided to step in.
"You know, I am starting to understand why Ms. Kai mentioned your dull brain. It was obvious she touched it first."
Mo Feng Yi whipped her head to the side to see who had dared interfered. Similarly, Peng Xiaoli walked closer, crossing both hands in front of her chest while dishing out a warning stare.
"And who are you?"
"The one who will be whooping your ass if you do not behave and stop making trouble," Jian Xiaofei chimed.
"Oh…" Her voice trailed off as she took her time glancing at the three of them. "So, you can't win and you brought your minions to fight for you?" she scoffed. "How typical. Always hiding behind people."
"What?!" Jian Xiaofei was irked by her comment. She wanted to beat the living daylights out of Mo Feng Yi. However, the attendant beside Mo Feng Yi gave her pleading eyes.
"Miss, please do…" she clamped her lips shut when Jian Xiaofei shot her a warning glare.
"Mo-Mo, or whatever your name is, woman! It seems that the more minutes pass by, the denser you become."
"Andromeda Kai, warn her."
"And why should I do that?" Andromeda questioned. "No one asked you to begin a fight you'd clearly lose."
"Exactly," Jian Xiaofei continued once more. She had no plans to let Mo Feng Yi off the hook. It was people like her who went about badmouthing Andromeda, and it pissed off the young lady too much.
"If you are so in over your head not to realize we came shopping, then I believe your kind deserves to be in a dog shelter or a zoo and not roaming about with sensible people."
Several gasps and laughter resounded around them. Indeed, Mo Feng Yi had been put in her place even without Andromeda doing anything.
She gritted, unable to bear the insult any longer, and decided to win the only way she knew how—cheating.
Lifting her left hand, she attempted to hit Andromeda's hand when Andromeda lifted her eyes and stared her down.
At once all humor was gone from the actress' face. All that was left was a condescending look—one where she silently dared to try her worst.
Mo Feng Yi gulped hard.
Andromeda could tell she was struggling—racking her brain to come up with a better comeback. And when she found none, she fought stupidly.
"I had my eyes on this set since. I already told the attendant here that I was paying for that. Isn't that right?" She stared at the young lady out of the corner of her eye, hoping she would play along and side with her lie.
Howbeit, Andromeda already read the room and could see the trembling fingers of the attendant.
"I said, isn't that right?" Mo Feng Yi barked challengingly.
"My dear, no need to fret. You can tell the truth. If really what she says is true, I'll back down but if not…" A mischievous smirk spread out on Andromeda's face as she narrowed her eyes. "I bet the CCTV footage would pull out something."
The attendant gulped. She knew who Andromeda was and even Mo Feng Yi. However, one was playing fair and the other was lying. Who would she side with?
"Tell her I was going to pay for it," Mo Feng Yi demanded once more. Rather than pleading, her senseless act ended up raging the young lady.
"Are you deaf?"
Seeing how terrible the situation was going, the shop attendant decided to clear the air. "My apologies Miss." she dipped her head respectfully. "Ms. Mo did come to the shop earlier and checked other jewelry pieces. However, I showed her this necklace set and she deliberately refused it."
"Speak of a barking bitch," Jian Xiaofei snickered.
"But after searching, she didn't find one she liked and I offered to have her get a second look at this. Perhaps then she may change her mind."
"You see. I had changed my mind," Mo Feng Yi announced.
"I highly doubt that. In the case of touching or showing interest, Ms. Mo never did any of that till you strutted over. Nor did she state she was making payments."
"How dare you!" Mo Feng Yi thundered.
"I am sorry but I cannot lie. That is the truth."
Andromeda's eyes lit up at her triumph. Turns out Mo Feng Yi only made problems wrongly.
"In that case, get your hands off." With her command, Andromeda smacked Mo Feng Yi's right hand away and took a step forward, challengingly.
