Chapter 5 It Begins

CHAPTER 5
Seated on the bed in her room, Andromeda had her chin in her hand while her mind drifted off, thinking of the next plan of action to take.
She knew by now, that her sorry-ass of a boyfriend would have returned to the hotel room in search of her. It was just about time and soon her wedding planner, makeup artist and all would be in search of her.
Rather than going to the hotel room, she booked for her dressing up, she decided to go back home instead.
She lifted her head, her gaze rising straight for the wall clock in the room. "9:30 am. That is about right. This should do, I have about an hour and thirty minutes before my wedding. Time to initiate my first plan."
She picked up her phone from the side of the bed and searched for a number.
A sneaky smile formed around the corners of her lips, as she shook her head, sending her long hair falling back and away from her face.
"It is time to make you my slave. How about looking at my wedding dress and knowing well that you cannot do much about my wedding? At least that should eat you up before I ignore that bastard next," Andromeda spat out evilly.
RING! RING!
She waited patiently for the other person to pick up the phone and when it rang again, Andromeda tsked away. 'What? Still not done having sex or was it too good that you forgot yourself?'
"Hello."
Her eyes dimmed a bit as she replied, "Hello, I have something for you to do for me."
"Hey, where is the good morning and please, I have a favour to ask," Beatrice half yelled with irritation laced in her tone, not hiding her displeasure.
"Beatrice, I do not have time for games and it is my wedding day. As my friend and co-designer, shouldn't you be here helping me?"
"Oh, sorry I cannot. I had too much to drink yesterday. So, I just woke up. What's up anyway?" She asked through gritted teeth.
Left for her, she would just scratch a long trail on her face to disfigure Andromeda but for Wu Bai, she needed to bear with it until she got what she wanted.
"Umm, I left the hotel this morning feeling light-headed, so I hurried home for some soup. I need you to get my wedding gown from the room I booked in Louis Hotels and Suite and get it here."
"What! Why me? Why not send your assistant?"
"Well, my assistant is busy running errands for me. I do not have anyone and I need to get dressed quickly."
"Hmm."
"I would be waiting. Kindly get it done within thirty minutes. I know you are capable."
She did not bother to be pleasant with her, nor did she say any thanks or please. All she knew was, that, they deserved it.
Time seemed to pass but neither her gown nor a call from Wu Bai, came.
Letting out a sigh, she walked off to her table to get her sketchbook and pencil. "I better create my masterpiece gown. If I would take them down, I need to do it in style."
A couple of minutes later, she heard a knock on her door, breaking her concentration. Slowly, she shifted her gaze from her drawing and set it on the door.
Her cheek pulled upwards a bit, revealing her sneaky smile.
"Time has come for the first attack." She closed her sketchbook and went to get to the door.
Knock! Knock!
"I'm coming," she called out while her mind raced back quickly to the previous night and what Beatrice Zhang has said.
A cold glint flashed in her eyes as she opened them, letting out a small breath. Even though the betrayal did hurt her, she was never one who stood and was trodden on.
Her mother would have reprimanded her probably but a good thing she wasn't there and a bad thing at that.
Without further ado, she opened the door. Her brows raised in silent questioning. The lady before her was most definitely not Beatrice.
"Morning Miss. My boss, Ms Zhang asked that I deliver this to you, due to her inability to walk."
She gave her best fake smile to Andromeda, thinking she would not see through her lie. However, the Andromeda standing before her was no longer stupid, and she saw it plainly.
"She sprained her foot, you see," the girl added and before Andromeda could say anything, she stretched forth her hand holding the gown in its full package.
"I see."
Feeling happy that Andromeda was still as dumb as ever about what was going on, the girl's smile broadened.
"Although I told her in thirty minutes, now it's an hour plus. Is this the gratitude Beatrice shows to the one who helped her? Or doesn't she know that without me, she would not be where she is?"
Every word sent out of her mouth was laced with enough vile and ill intent, placing the girl where she wanted her, beneath her feet and her boss, a thrash not worthy to behold.
Her eyes did not fail to catch how the girl clenched her fingers on the bridal gown while maintaining her smile.
'Good. If you are not here to take the shame, then this little minced meat of yours, would.'
It was never too late. At least God granted her a chance to see her scumbag of a fiancé's true nature before she tied the knot of suffering and slavery and signed her death warrant to him, herself.
On her face wore the most genuine reaction void of anxiety as the girl had intended.
"You have overthought. She did not do that. I was delayed a bit because of some problems."
"I see, you may leave."
"Sure. Have a happy wedding."
Andromeda did not fail to catch the mischievous look in her eyes before she turned around and left the doorpost.
'Hmm, so you think you are the only mischievous one? Do you think I would be stupid enough to send you on such an errand and not expect stupid tricks? Tsk, do not worry, wait your turn and I would deliver you to the wolves.'
She did not bother with her and took her gown in before closing the door and locking it properly.
Once in her not so big bedroom, her gaze swept across her room, admiring its simplistic nature.
A nice bed enough to fit two people, a working table and chair, her wardrobe, makeup mirror, with its stand and a bedside drawer.
The walls were equally painted white, showing her love for cleanliness with a lovely drawing of a girl from her shoulder upwards, used to cover a full portion of the wall from top to bottom.
'Things need to change,' she thought again. One thing was sure, she may need to leave the condo unit to avoid those pests in the future.
"Now time to see what the dogs have done."
She quickly placed it on the bed and unzipped it to unravel her dashing gown.
Since it was her wedding, she spent a great deal of time trying to get the best outfit that portrayed her fashion sense.
Picking up the bridal gown, Andromeda allowed her eyes to rake through the expensive piece of clothing. It was a luxury champagne satin see-through wedding dress with a big ball gown spreading far out to her sides and behind her.
The gown had a high neck net long sleeve backless handmade beading and appliques lace, that adorned the outfit.
The lacy material spread out far down her whole gown in front and outlined the edges of the top of the ball gown at the back, adding to the knot weaving through the holes behind to hold the gown in place, giving it a much grander design.
Well, that was what it was supposed to be until Beatrice Zhang's useless assistant tried to modify it to what was in her hands now.
The top net of her dress, covering her chest and neck down the long sleeves had a tearing that rendered the gown useless to some extent.
"Hmm, you wanted me devasted and embarrassed, didn't you? Worry not. I bet your boss would be thrilled when I get back at you."
To make matters worse, the girl had smeared the edges of the top part of the ball gown from which it fled.
"There is a saying, the tailor spoils the clothes and calls it a design. Who needs the net anyway? I would redesign you and use you for my outfit for my first rise as the top designer," she remarked.
She carefully and neatly kept the gown back in its covering and hung it in her wardrobe.
"Now that everything is set, time to move on to the most important phase of the day."
Taking her phone, she placed a call to her wedding planner.
"Hello, good morning."
"Oh, Miss Kai, I was about to call you. I was informed that you were not in your hotel room. Where are you? Do not tell me you got cold feet before the wedding? We have less time here. Please return."
She wished to ignore everyone completely but she could feel the care emanating from the lady's voice as she seemed agitated already.
"Calm down, Meilin Rong. I am okay. I think I got the best feet in the world today and they are happy."
Listening to her, Meilin Rong released a deep sigh of relief before speaking. "Thank goodness. I was worried."
"No need. However, my next choice of words… You won't be liking it."
