Chapter 47 Call From Lawyer Chang
*************
CHAPTER 47
Leaning back against the arms rest of the couch she laid in, Andromeda had a hand crossed over her tummy, lifting her left leg up by her knee and placed the other hand behind her head for support as she relaxed.
Unlike every other day, this time Andromeda felt more tranquil and tired after the swim she had with the guys.
At first, she felt shy having to be around them but later on, she eased the worry and decided to have fun.
She let out a soft sigh. 'It was indeed great to go out. Now I can sleep better and make my next move.' She thought to herself.
Moving her body a bit on the couch, she positioned her self to her side and shut her eyes. Minutes later, her phone screen lit up, revealing a call.
"Seriously. A girl cannot get her beauty sleep in peace," Andromeda groaned. "Who knows me enough to remember me?" She turned around to pick up her phone.
Bringing it close to her face, Andromeda's eyes widened when she saw the caller and quickly answered it.
"Hello," she greeted quickly. "Lawyer Chang! Good evening." She sat up properly and brushed off the lose strands that fell on her face as she waited for his response.
She heard him take a deep breath first before responding. "Hello, Miss Kai."
"Hi. What can I do for you?" She tried to be as professional as she could be, sensing the kind of air about him.
"First of, I would like to apologize to you. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on the issue with terminating contract."
"It is okay. However, I would like to know."
"Go on."
"Is Wu Bai giving you any problems perhaps?"
"Oh, not at all." He smiled to himself and dropped his reading glasses on the table in front of him. "I got swamped with work that is it. I am okay. Thanks."
"Okay. If you say so. However, how is everything coming along? Is he still being difficult?"
"No. That was why I called you. On the contrary, he surprised me that day and agreed to sign the contract for you."
Her brows raised a second then furrowed right after. She wanted to be sure she heard well. "You are serious?"
"Yes. He agreed without much pressure. I believe he had thought it through. He would lose more should we take this to court, plus the evidence you had."
"I see." She leaned back into the couch and allowed the softness scooch her in and comfort her. "This is good. However, I do not know why I do not feel so happy about it. There is something fishy," Andromeda revealed.
"Yes." He nodded his head and reached up to massage his temples. "You can say that, Miss Kai. Considering when I called him that day, he was angrily speaking and then few hours later he agreed to it."
"Yes. He is definitely up to something," Andromeda said shaking her head. "I may not be able to put my mind round it but I feel something cooking up."
Lawyer Chang took in a deep breath before assuring her. "I do not know him as much as you do. However, I can say that if he tries anything against you, we can sue him to court."
Andromeda let out a soft sigh, placing her right hand on her tummy again. The sheer thought of having that sneaky beast coming to her was already annoying enough.
"You have nothing to worry about. I would have the restraining order as well as a copy of the contract sent to you by Monday," Lawyer Chang assured her again.
"Thank you so much, Lawyer Chang. I would leave it to you then."
'Okay, Miss Kai. Have a lovely night. Bye."
"Bye." She dropped the call and let her mind wander in whatever direction it chose to follow.
She had spent 5 years of her life loving a scoundrel and now, she was not looking forward to anything that tied her with him.
'It is for the best.' She thought to herself. Not wanting to be bothered by the thoughts of Wu Bai, she allowed her mind drift off instead to her day.
Surpisingly the only thing she could think of was how she was almost kissed today. She felt the same feeling surge through her. Her head thudded at a fast pace in her heart. While her insides felt giddly with butterflies.
Although it was supposed to make her feel bad, given her last relationship, she found herself blushing at the idea instead.
'Come on, Andromeda. Now is not the time.' she cautioned herself in her mind and let the sleep that threatened to take her, finally envelop her being.

On the other hand, things seemed to go well for Liu Xueyi. He took his bathe, changed into something light and wore his flops as he made his way to the kitchen.
Just as he entered, his eyes fell on the flask he used to give her food the previous weekend and he paused.
A sigh fel off his lips as he made his way inside. The more he looked at hit, the faster his brain took him down memory lane to their tim in the car.
He did not know why he thought of that scene, especially where he was about to kiss her.
He looked don and picked up a falsk. A knowing smile formed around the corners his lips as he opened his mouth. "Andromeda Kai. Akay, what wonders do you possess and how well are you worthy of my attention?" he thought out loud and smirked at his own reasoning.
'However, there must be a reason why she hid her skills since coming back to the city, right? Hmm, what is it? You seem to be a woman of miseries, Andromeda.'
His mind flashed back to their shopping at the market and the men watching her closely. 'Why were those men tailing her?'
He dropped the flask and brought out his phone from his pocket. He scanned through his contact list and found the name he was searching, then dialed it.
Seconds later, the phone rang from the other end and soon enough someone picked up.
"Hello, Boss?"
"Hey. Oliver. I need you to check something out for me."
"Okay, Boss. What is it?"
