Chapter 41 Old Bellied Thwart
*************
CHAPTER 41
"Aaahh!" Fang Daiyu yelled out, releasing her hold on her hair a bit.
Taking the opportunity, Andromeda turned on her heels and threw a punch right in her face, forcing Fang Daiyu to let go of her hair and fall to the ground.
Time seemed to have stopped for both Fang Daiyu and Sun Jingyu as the shock registered on their faces. He broke out first and snapped his head in Andromeda's direction.
Wasting no time, he lunged forward, lifting his hand and getting ready to impale a nice hot slap on her when a hand grabbed his, preventing him from lifting a finger.
"W-who…" he tried yanking his wrist away but the grip of the person only became tighter. "How dare you? Do you know who I am?" Sun Jingyu roared and tried to yank his wrist again.
This time around the hold his capture used on him, made him feel pain spread on his wrist. The longer he held on, the more painful it became till he cried out.
It was at that moment he got released sadly, in a manner that left his face kissing the ground. It took him some seconds before he rose to his feet. His eyes became emore red as his anger vibrated through him.
"I would kill you all!" he bellowed and pushed his hair from his eyes to see who had hurt him. "Y-Yo…"
The words hung on his lips, threatening to spil but he never had the conscience to.
A loud enough scoff followed, as his captor's eyes narrowed, pulling his lips into a thin line, making the smirk on his face look deadly.
"It is the fist time I have witnessed a grown man so eager to jump into a woman's fight," Liu Xueyi's cold voice rang out, sending shivers down Sun Jingyu's spine.
"I-I…" He shook his head. He was unable to understand what the hell was going on. If his eyes were not deceiving him, then the person standing before him was none other than… "Liu Xueyi!"
His lips pulled back, exposing his teeth as he staggered forward a bit. "Liu Xueyi. Bro thank goodness you are here. You have got it all wrong."
She moved closer to Liu Xueyi while warming up a smile to him. "This bitch here insulted me and hurt my woman. You should prove to her that the old belied man thwart she came with holds no candle to you. Avenge me."
Andromeda did not think she could hold in her laughter for long seeing the great scene unfold but somehow she managed it and waited for what would happen next.
This was what one would call digging one's own grave.
Rather than doing as he was told, Liu Xueyi arched bis brows disgustingly at him. His laughter came in short burst like a scoff before he responded with a fake smile. "How am I to avenge you when you specifically just called me an old bellied thwart, hmm?"
"Hehhe, enh? I am not talking about you. I am speaking of the old man who she…" His voice trailed off when he looked at Andromeda again and this time all she had on her face were smiles.
His eyes widened and then slowly he looked back at Liu Xueyi. "Y-yo-ooou k-k-know…" he blinked severally in one second. "Her?"
"What do you think?" The sinister smile on Liu Xueyi's face dropped and all that remained was a certain coldness and dark glint in those eyes.
He yanked his hand away from Sun Jingyu and took two steps away from him. "I have never seen one so bold, yet so foolish as you have behaved today, Sun Jingyu."
"Hahaaa," Xu Fang and the others did not bother masking the humour and laughed away at the scene.
"I… I-I. I am so sorry. I never meant to hurt you or even speak in such a manner. I…" He shut his eyes and lowered his head completely. "Forgive me, Master Liu."
"Forgive you? And to think I was even considering on doing business with the Sun Family. Turns out you all are just a bunch of useless ill-bred born."
"Please, forgive me. I was short sighted. I am the one at fault."
"Hmm, why should I? Although you insulted me, you dared raise your hand on a lady. Now that is just one thing I cannot forgive."
"But sir… I did not think. I did not know she was your woman."
"Ignorance is no excuse, Sun Jingyu. I would let your father know about this personally and tell him why I cannot do business with him."
"No. Please. Do not. Please forgive me and let bygones be bygones."
"Hmm, do you think you are worthy to ask me that? You are not even worth her shoes, so you have no right to speak teach her manners or even speak ill about her."
"I know. I know. I was being foolish. I would do anything for you to forgive me," Sun Jingyu pleaded.
He raised his chin a notch and looked over at Andromeda. Although she did not look it, he could tell that yanking her hair must have hurt her.
"Anything?" he averted his gaze at Sun Jungyi.
"Yes. Anything. Just name it," the young man lifted his head and nodded hurriedly.
"Fine. Since you are so protective of your woman, you should take the punishment for her. Don't you think?"
He hesitated for a minute but knowing the situation that lay ahead, he nodded." If you get down on your knees and apologize to her, then I can consider forgiving you."
"What?" As much as he wanted to sound innocent before Liu Xueyi, he could not hide the trace of discontent in his voice.
"I did not stutter, Sun Jingyu," Liu Xueyi reminded. "And oh, you better make it fast else I change my mind and give you a proper punishment."
Ignoring the embarrassment and stares from the few people around, Sun Jungyi went down on one knee and lowered his head.
"No," Liu Xueyi's voice corrected. "Both knees."
Shutting his eyes, Sun Jingyu added the second knee and balled his hands into a fist at his side.
