Empress of the Entertainment World

Chapter 15 Just Business

CHAPTER 15

This was the first time they heard this. Liu Xueyi had tried not to get involved with women in his company especially when it came to some important things.

It was not entirely his fault considering almost all of them only wanted a way to get in his favour and ultimately in his bed.

In situations such as that, he left his friends to help handle it for him.

"Sure."

Xu Fang could not help but whistle at his friend. "Whoa! My friend has changed. A female used you and tried to pay you off. What was she thinking, that you were a gigolo?"

"Pfftt hahaha..." The others could not hide their laughter from him. True, that was what it sounded like when he said she priced him.

The sheer thought of it was enough to make them want to ask him how it happened.

"She used me to get to see me. The irony of the matter." He shook his head. It was really something else.

"I see. So, she did not know the person whom she came to have a meeting with? I think your in-popularity is becoming too much," Rong Bolin teased.

"You cannot blame anyone but yourself when you refuse your female fans. Who else but them would promote his face more so and not mentioning, he is the emperor of the entertainment world."

A cold gaze was sent his way at the mention of the entertainment world. The felt a sudden creep of cold running down his spine and he shivered slightly.

"What have I said about mentioning that?" Liu Xueyi questioned. His eyes darkened some more as he shifted out of his seat, both hands raised up to form a triangle in front of his face. "That is just a subject not to be mentioned."

"That is what you think. But first of all, we are in your home. No one here apart from us knows that you are the one."

"Still. The walls have ears," Liu Xueyi cautioned.

"And there are no walls close by," Tang Yan chipped in. "Relax man. It is us. Rather than fuss about this why not tell us in detail this new chick of yours."

He took in a deep breath, shutting his eyes. Once he reopened them, the coldness vanished, and his cheerful self was back on. "Fine. You all just love listening to gossip."

"Say whatever you want. I think we would be having a new sister-in-law from the look in your eyes."

Several gasps escaped their lips when Xu Fang stated that. "Oh my!" It was when Chu Fengjin spoke that they fell from their shock.

"You do not mean it."

"Calm down guys. It is not like that. I like her personality but I think a sister-in-law… Now that is too far."

"Why? Is she not good?"

"I did not say that. I already got her profile and info from Hong Chaoxiang. If things go well then my fashion line is going to rise as number one."

"So, you mean there would be no pleasure?" Xu Fang asked, sitting up.

"No. It is just business."

"Then can I go for her?" Tang Yan suddenly asked the million-dollar question he knew would be in everyone's mind.

All heads turned in his direction and a nice smile formed on his face. "Hey, he doesn't want her and Xu Fang said she was a beauty. Why let her go?"

No sooner had he said that, than he felt a deathly glare at the back of his head.

GULP!

"Hehe…" slowly he turned his head to the side where he knew only one person sat down.

"Don't you even dare, Yan. She doesn't need you guys."

"Possessive. I see. Things are about to get complicated," Rong Bolin noted as he threw a wink at Xu Fang.

"You bet."

By the time Andromeda arrived at her house, her legs wobbled, barely supporting her frame as she managed to walk close to her door.

Not so far from where she stood, she spotted someone standing by her door with folded arms.

There was no doubt, the person had been waiting there for her while she had her fun with her friend.

Sadly, when she made her bet earlier that day, she did not foresee the traffic congestion she was going to face and in turn, lost.

With that, she had to take the penalty and became drunk due to her lousy alcohol tolerance. Even in her drowsy state, she could make the outlines of the person.

That pose when he waited. The way and manner in which he crossed his legs, crossed a hand on his chest and sued it as a support to raise his other hand, holding his chin…

Everything, down to his all-black outfit and his scattered hair spoke of one person.

Her feet stopped moving when she was close enough and her hands balled into a fist at her sides. "Wu Bai."

His head turned in her direction and he pushed off from the wall to face her.

Seeing this, she sniffed, drew her nose and continued walking. As soon as she got to her door, Andromeda behaved as though she did not see him and was about to place her key in the keyhole when he placed his hand on her wrist.

She could feel a certain drumming sound in her ears. It was like it reminded her that she needed to do something and sure enough, she lifted her eyes to his face, glaring daggers at him.

He was taken aback by the malicious cold gaze she gave him and he instinctively removed his hand from her.

"Get out," Andromeda ordered before returning her eyes to her door.

"Andromeda. Can you invite me in? I miss you. I have been dying to see you since."

She let out a sharp scoff at his words and shook her head. Boy was he delusional.

"Wu Bai, there is no one here. I think you do not need to pretend anymore."

"No…" he quickly protested and held her hand again. Quickly, she withdrew her hand and faced him squarely.

"This should be the last time you so much as lay those wretched fingers on me ever again."
