Chapter 6190: Ghosts Are Here
Chapter 6190: Ghosts Are Here
At night, Li Qiye sat by the window with a pot of tea, interested in this strange matter.
As steam rose out of the pot, the room became filled with an aroma. He picked up his cup and savored the tea slowly.
He gazed at the darkness and enjoyed the moment. As the night deepened and the breeze stirred, the flame in his lamp suddenly flickered.
This wind carried a yin energy, growing denser with time. It could send a shiver down anyone’s spine, making them feel as if someone was standing behind them.
When they turned around, there was no one there. The thing had moved to a blind spot yet they could still sense it. The light from the lamp could only add so much peace.
Next came an eerie noise echoing in the mind, only adding to their fear. One would want to run out of the door and escape this haunted space. If they were to do so, they would hear triumphant waves of laughter in the room, like a ghost crouching in the shadows jeering their cowardice.
While outside, they would be greeted with a chilling wind. Dark clouds covered the sky, obscuring the stars and the moon.
The whole clan became dim and silent. One couldn’t tell if the others were in hiding or carried away by the yin winds. This made the room with the lamp more inviting than before.
Alas, looking back through the window, an eerie shadow was still there. As the wind picked up, it caused the old houses to creak.
Many were uninhabited and overgrown with weeds. A vengeful spirit could crawl out from the shadows at any moment or a hand might reach up from the ground, pulling the victim into the darkness.
Worst of all, waves of laughter from the same direction as the winds persisted and reverberated in one’s ears. It made victims imagine figures with gleaming white teeth licking their lips in anticipation.
Eventually, the whole clan was taken over by the wind, turning it into a gateway to hell.
If one were strong enough to scan the whole clan, they would find the wind resembling a swirling tornado. It prevented others from entering or escaping.
For some, they wished for dawn to break and hear the crowing of a rooster. Only daylight would herald peace back to their residence.
As for Li Qiye, he sat by the window without interfering. Eventually, the clan became the eye of the storm.
He finally opened his eyes and reached forward, grasping the gales. They dispersed like black smoke upon contact, attempting to infiltrate and turn him into a specter. However, another mysterious force stopped it.
The two powers twisted together and this was the reason for the storm phenomenon around the clan.
“Pop!” He utilized a finger strike and stopped the mysterious force.
This allowed the yin wind to go wild and turn into a serpent, baring its fangs against him. He easily grabbed and immobilized it.
“Back to the source.” He channeled primordial energy into it.
The wind naturally couldn’t contend against Li Qiye and became a serpent pinned by an iron skewer. His affinity dissected it, leaving a faint presence behind.
It was an evil sin that seemingly existed before the start of this world. Anyone would shudder upon recognizing its true devouring potential. Even supreme overlords couldn’t stop it.
“Pop!” He crushed it and gazed outside.
“Courting death, I see. You two geezers are stretching your hands too far. Must I deal with you permanently?” He said.

No one answered but far away in a different dimension, some unknown beings trembled.
They were considered eternal beings and rarely had a sense of foreboding. The strongest cultivators in this world together couldn’t make them feel this. Alas, they saw a vision of them being obliterated.
“That’s not good.” One of them, a supreme terror, murmured.
***
Li Qiye went back to drinking his tea without a care about the consequences of his threat.
