Chapter 6138: It’s A Tough Life
Chapter 6138: It’s A Tough Life
Legacies weren’t pseudo-immortal weapons but were more precious and exceptional.
A pseudo-immortal might have several mighty weapons but only one legacy. This legacy item would follow them forever, capable of containing untold fortunes and grand dao.
It was their everything. This might be an exaggeration but not far from the truth. Thus, the group became interested in it.
Gao Yang and the others used all of their strength to create a unique weapon out of this legacy to kill Dingtian. Unfortunately, this plan was a disaster.
“Bam!” Li Qiye crushed the piece and revealed the legacy hidden inside.
The group didn’t expect it to be so small - a tiny bottle with no opening. It seemed to have been created in this shape.
Within the bottle was a blue liquid brimming with life. They couldn’t sense its true nature due to the seal. Nevertheless, this group was exceptional and knew their stuff.
They looked down at the ocean and thought that just one drop of this blue liquid could engulf the whole thing.
“Such abundant life force, is it on the same level as Three Immortal Worlds? It can gestate countless lives, dao, true energy, fortunes...” Water murmured.
“But it doesn’t have Three Immortals’ karma.” The old man said: “This limits it.”
“Yes, missing that extra something so not quite a legacy yet. No wonder why it was left behind. No patience and decided to ascend first.” Li Qiye said.
“So not a complete legacy but still a perfect crafting material, enough to deter anyone.” Nameless stared at the blue liquid before glancing at Fog.
“I don’t remember how strong it was. From the information I gathered, it came from Silver Dragon Mecha. I don’t know how it ended up with us.” Fog said.
“Desolate Ancestor must have truly trusted you all. What a shame, you’ve let her down.” The old man said.
“Well, we probably didn’t expect you to be such a good actor. Everyone respected you, not to mention your affiliation with the three immortals.” Fog chuckled awkwardly before retorting.
“Even closer than Fire Ancestor.” Li Qiye added.
Water tapped the old man’s shoulder and laughed: “Although you were an uncultured wildman, they took you in and educated you like a son. They could suspect Fire Ancestor but not you, part of it due to you having so much patience.”
The old man wanted to defend himself but only let out a sigh.
“Patience is essential when there is a desire. Otherwise, no one would exercise patience.” Li Qiye said.
“How does this apply to you?” Water asked Nameless: “Don’t tell me that you have none and just want to be a ghost.”
Nameless smiled awkwardly without responding.
“What about Ghost Monarch?” Devil spoke again.
“It’s dead after the exchange. It has to be replenished for a while.” The old man said.
“Sir is right here. We can’t do it but he definitely can.” Nameless said.
“I can restore it but what’s the point, it had been erased so it will start from the beginning again.” Li Qiye said: “It’s hard to say what will happen next because it will be a new law. Will it fuse in harmony with the current ghost market?”
“Then no need, we’re doing fine without one.” Fog said.
“The problem is being unable to exert this place’s true power.” The old man said.
“We don’t need it as long as you’re still here. Just keep it the same for now.” Water smiled.
“I will die in time.” The old man said.
The others were taken aback briefly. Nameless sighed and said: “Right, we will die eventually but this place should continue. I don’t see how without us though.”
The current ghost market was perfect for them so they considered it as a new home.
“I don’t want something like Soulcast Land, the current one is far better.” Water raised his voice and said: “Redoing it will just turn it back to Soulcast Land, it won’t be comfortable staying here anymore.”
“That’s for sure.” Fog agreed: “We can’t let it revert to anything like it.”
“It’s not unsolvable.” Li Qiye said.
“You have an idea, Sir? Please tell us.” Water said.
“Melt it and one of you can fuse with it, that will work.” Li Qiye said.
The five exchanged glances. Whoever it was would become the Ghost Monarch.
“It’s a shackle.” Fog said: “In control of the laws but also becoming part of the law. There needs to be a balance too, so no more biases.”
“Yes, whoever it is will no longer be himself, only live for the laws. It’s a tough life.” Li Qiye said.
“No different than death.” Fog said.
“No, the laws are alive but the self will be abandoned after the fusion.” Li Qiye said.
