Emperor's Domination

Chapter 5947: The Reason For Leaving

Chapter 5947: The Reason For Leaving

Since Li Qiye could see through their secrets, Chu Zhu had no issue bringing him to their ancestral ground - a place to honor their ancestors.

These ancestors were famous throughout Three Immortals during their era. The old men behind the group kneeled before the statues after coming in.

Some of these statues depicted Grand Emperors and progenitors, looking fierce and unstoppable. They were the only things left but the younger ancestors were still intimidated by the remnant auras.

Li Qiye’s eyes shifted from one statue to another before stopping at a statue depicting a gorgeous woman.

One could tell she used to stand at the apex with an army behind her. Her gaze was fixated on the next battlefield. Her battle intent remained, ready to act as a supreme commander for the world.

Li Qiye sighed softly and rubbed the timeworn statue. The light in his palm initiated a temporal resonation. A woman appeared from the past, stunning everyone with her beauty.

Her battle armor didn’t hide her slender yet voluptuous figure. One would fall in love with her at first sight and couldn’t find a single flaw.

Despite her flawless appearance, her chilling and dignified aura was the center of attention. Others didn’t dare to meet her heroic gaze directly.

One could hear dao harmonies in the sounds of dragons and phoenixes. That’s how she was - a majestic being soaring through the firmaments.

“The ancestor is responding!” The younger ancestors prostrated and kowtowed in reverence.

However, when Li Qiye pulled back his hand, the supreme figure dissipated and the statue became normal once more.

“Chu Camp.” Li Qiye said: “One character removed, not a clan.”

“Young Noble, you know of this?” Chu Zhu was shocked to hear this since she had access to secrets beyond the old juniors in the hall.

“Of course, and it is a bit surprising to what’s happening here.” Li Qiye said sentimentally.

“Right, we used to be known as Chu Camp but we formed our clan after splitting from the dao lineage.” Chu Zhu told the truth.

“Insane Court.” Li Qiye recalled the past.

“You know everything, Young Noble. Yes, the dao lineage was known as Insane Court.” Chu Zhu said.

“Why did your ancestors abandon the original name?” Li Qiye asked.

“I don’t know the details, only that it was because of someone.” Chu Zhu said.

“Someone?” Li Qiye’s brows furrowed slightly.

“Insane Immortal.” Chu Zhu responded.

“Never heard of this title.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“This was back during Moshi’s era. Insane Court produced a supreme genius unlike anyone before. Moshi himself took notice and taught him how to cultivate. He dominated and called himself Insane Immortal.” Chu Zhu said.

“The arrogance.” Li Qiye chuckled: “A frog under the well, even Insane Ancestor didn’t dare to use the word immortal in this title.”

Chu Zhu smiled awkwardly and replied: “I don’t know if it was to show gratitude to Moshi’s guidance, but Insane Immortal sided with Moshi. That was when the rift started. Insane Immortal involved the dao lineage in the war and our ancestors chose to leave. Everyone in Chu Camp agreed to start a clan with the Chu surname after the split.”

“What happened to Insane Court afterward?” Li Qiye asked.

“Moshi was defeated after Immortal Slaughtered and Desolate Ancestor’s legion swept through Three Immortals. Insane Immortal was killed in Desolate Ancestor and Insane Court fell into declination. To avoid trouble and forget the past, Insane Court changed its name to Insane Gate.” Chu Zhu said.

“Worthless descendants.” Li Qiye lamented.

“Insane Gate is right outside of Splendor, nothing like before.” Chu Zhu said.

Although Chu Camp had left, she still knew their history with Insane Court. During its prime, they were one of the ten strongest dao lineages in Three Immortals.

They had two pivotal leaders - Virtuous King and their grand commander. Once they were gone, Insane Court lost some of its influence.

This lasted until the appearance of Insane Immortal. Although he revitalized the dao lineage, he led it to its demise. Now, it has become a small sect known as Insane Gate.

The glory of the past was no more. Chu Zhu herself had no intention of reviving Chu Camp or Insane Court.

“Time passes by fast.” Li Qiye stared at the female statue and said.

“Do you know our ancestor, Soaring Phoenix Commander?” Chu Zhu asked.

“That’s her title?” Li Qiye asked.

“Yes, according to the stories, she left during Insane Court’s prime. She was half the reason why we became one of the top ten dao lineages back then.” Chu Zhu explained.
